The White Lion itself is really centrally located and very easy to find. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and attentive, particularly our server at breakfast on the first morning (Tuesday 12th August). The food, both at breakfast and in the restaurant, was phenomenal. Room 4 was a great size, clean, calm and comfortable and the bed was really comfortable too.

The central location is really convenient and ideal, but the trade-off for that is that the room did have some late-night/early morning noise outside it (this was a particular issue during my stay just because it was Summer, it was hot, and we had the windows open). Other times though it was peaceful and you could hear the river outside your window, which was really lovely.

The room was spacious, really clean and comfortable with a large bathroom and nice toiletries provided. The staff were all great and very professional and friendly. Breakfast options were good with generous portions. The location was very central but quiet and it was lovely to hear the river from our room. We didn't eat there in the evening as there were quite a few options to choose from, but others who did said it was a very good restaurant.

The only slight comment was that the bacon was verrrry well done at breakfast-possibly a one off and my husband didn't mind but I'd imagine many people would have found it very overdone.

Perfect position. Lovely and clean for such an old inn. We were upgraded, free of charge, to a suite, blooming lovely. Room 2. Super comfortable bed, massive bathroom, roll top bath. Wish I had stayed longer, I will next time. Breakfast superb, anything you wanted. Could have an evening meal at the Inn but already booked elsewhere to meet friends, but menu was great and you could have afternoon tea. Can't wait to go again. Sounds like I am being paid for this review...but I like to give a fair review. There is nothing to say about this pub other than everything is great. Not like me, I will point out some issues, but there are none. My friends will be shocked at my lovely review as they know I can be a little annoying if things aren't quite right. Thank you x

Lovely large room, very spacious. Nice decor and king size bed. Free parking at hotel ( but quite tight car park ). Centrally located for shops, restaurants and pubs. Friendly staff. I would recommend.

Only a small point... we've stayed in this hotel before and had breakfast. The breakfast this time was not as nice. Last time we were offered fruit and several glasses of orange juice. The sausages also tasted funny/ off. This time, not as good and we would take breakfast out next time. But as I say, only a very small point on an otherwise very nice stay.

Lovely traditional inn situated in the centre of Hebden Bridge. Ideal for gigs at the Trades Club. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed with all comforts. Nice to have individual soaps etc. not just generic body wash. The food is great- we had an evening meal in the bar which is very busy indeed with diners, a good sign. In the morning, we had a superb full English breakfast served at our table, not a buffet. Only one small gripe, the shower was a bit temperamental probably because lots of people were using hot water at the same time?

A lovely old pub with lots of character in a good location. The room was set apart from the main building and was spacious and modern. There was a good variety of tea and coffee in the room. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, as it was set back from the road. The breakfast menu was good with quite a few options and the portions were generous.

Black out curtains would be a good addition as the ones in the room let in too much light for me. I think the bed is a small double, but the room was big enough for a larger bed.

Little niggle but I ran out of tea and milk satchels for a cuppa in my room and as I got back very late after attending a wedding it was the morning before I noticed and then had to wait for the restaurant to.open at 8.00am to get a cuppa. Even though I was staying for 2 nights I thought the room would have been checked to ensure there was sufficient supplies.

Lovely, old pub accommodation in the very centre of Hebden Bridge. Everything on the doorstep. Great reception from the Manager on arrival. Personally shown to our room and even asked if we needed help with our bags. A very nice touch. Our room (No.4) in the main building was spacious, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Bathroom was spacious and had a roll top bath and shower. Parking on site, albeit limited was a plus. We were lucky and found a space immediately we arrived. Could be a problem in busier times of the year but other options close by. We did not eat at the White Lion in the evening however we did have Breakfast. My wife had the full traditional English Breakfast. I had the White Lion English Breakfast which is effectively a larger portion of the traditional. Excellent quality products. Good service from the two young ladies who took care of us. I doubt you will find better accommodation in the centre of Hebden Bridge. Highly Recommended based on our experience.

Not a complaint nor a major issue but a point to note. The water flow on the shower was ok but not great. This is probably a water pressure issue in the old building. The water flow on Bath and sink were fine. May be worth the management checking the shower to see if improvement to flow can be made.

Room was lovely, excellent double glazing stopped traffic noise. Lovely comfortable bed & refurbished bathroom Breakfast choices and quality one of the best we have had. The sausages are exceptional!! Location is perfect, right in the town centre. The staff were just lovely, very friendly and helpful.

Shower cap in the bathroom would be useful as it only has an overhead shower Would have loved to eat there in the evening but menu choices were not for us. Parking a bit challenging with a big car

The White Lion is a lovely old property on the banks of the river and only 5 minutes walk from the town centre and The Trades Club. Our room, no 7 was in the courtyard with its own private entrance and was very nicely decorated and furnished. We particularly liked the little vestibule for hanging up coats, the very well-stocked basket of teas, coffees, milks and biscuits, the big fluffy towels and free toiletries, and the low, soft but very comfortable bed. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and there was a good range of options for breakfast, all very well cooked. A lovely place that we will definitely return to if we go to The Trades Club again.

Nothing. But the car park is small so take the advice of the owners and try and arrive between 11 and 3pm.
