The building is great, new, well-designed and really well done. Rooms are excellent.

The service doesn't match the price - I think they're still finding their feet. Really small things from the greeting when we arrived - For £600+ a night, I wouldn't expect to have to carry my bags up a flight of stairs into reception, to enter to an empty reception, or to have the wrong room. We requested a room in the main building and they'd put us in the other building, which in fairness they sorted. I'd also expect someone coming around by the pool taking food/drink orders, but there is no service in the spa, which feels like a huge oversight.

The hotel and facilities were indeed 5* and most staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful. The setting is peaceful and very relaxing.Our bedroom was beautiful, and the bed was super cosy and comfortable. My spa treatment was THE best treatment I have ever had, and Ruby took great care of me. I would thouroughly recommend it. It was expensive but worth every penny.Our 2 night stay was wonderful and we definitely did not want to leave.

A small bottle of fizz - doesn't even have to be champagne - would be a nice gesture for people celebrating special occasions.

the food at the restaurant was definitely the biggest let down of our stay. also massively overpriced for what it was. i think they need a new chef.

Stunning location. The property itself is beautiful. The restaurant (Cedar) was fantastic.

Two things: 1. There was literally no availability for spa treatments on the Saturday I was there. It was a bit disappointing that there weren’t treatments ring-fenced for hotel guests. 2. There were quite a few small children in the spa. I’d have expected at least part of the spa area to be adults-only.

- delicious food in the restaurant - loved the territory - very clean and nice-looking rooms, welcome treats - quiet place, where it feels like it's all for you to relax and enjoy yourself

a couple tiny nitpicks: - we were told that the restaurant was fully booked and we couldn't have dinner there, though in the end the restaurant provided a table for us just 45 mins before the official dinner starts. The interesting bit is that we saw that there was a bunch of tables for 4 available even at 7pm and 8pm, so it clearly wan't fully booked, prob we were told this, so that "loud" kids don't spoil dinner for other guests - having 4 receptionists welcoming one guest all asking questions and talking to you felt like too much attention.

Delicious breakfast with lots of choices from a menu.Was served by very attentive staff. The location is very convenient close to London and gave us the opportunity to a short gateway .

Location is amazing, would rate it 10 - Italian waiter at the breakfast also was super professional

There was a weird smell in the corridor in which our room was located, staff was not super helpful in booking extra activities like horse riding, tennis court had a broken net. The location was amazing but property management was not what you expect from a 5 star hotel

The spa was good. However the staff need Co ordination and for a luxury 5 star which was rumoured 7 star , restaurant staff service is abysmal. Also the security was rude, on top my booking wasn’t received hence cancelling and rebooking, the manager paoulo helped and was frustrated as went esp for spa which couldn’t use

Room was small for over £500 a night

The amenities were amazing, the room was stunning and we even took some bikes out for an evening ride!

Staff were making great efforts to serve a famous person whilst everyone else got ignored

Really beautiful hotel. Very calm and peaceful and felt removed from the real world, yet easy to get to.
