This historic building is very charming. The staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived late and I didn't have a way to contact the hotel, yet she pleasantly greeted us an checked us in. The bed was comfortable. The old room had been well updated so it seemed like a relatively modern room. It was on the west side of Heathrow airport (LHR), about a 20 minute Uber drive away. There is a bus stop across the street relatively close, but we chose to just grab and Uber. Since we had arrived in London from Scotland earlier that day, next time I would book some place on the east side of LHR. But I really liked the historic charm of the inn and this area of the village, so it was still pleasing. They have a nice little restaurant within the inn, which we didn't use, as it was late in the evening. It was clean, had an in-room shower and restroom, a hand-held hairdryer, hot water kettle, coffee, teas, and hot chocolate, and a small tv.

The lower shower nozzle sprays out into the room. Be sure to use the upper, large nozzle!

Staff friendly, helpful and responsive. Clean room and clean sheets, towels. The Inn-pub has an interesting history we didn’t learn about until we got there. They should advertise that it’s the third oldest inn in England.

There’s no AC. The Booking.com website page says it’s 3.2 miles from downtown (meaning Slough) I guess. However, we were looking or distance from Heathrow. The taxi and Uber both were about 65-75 pounds each way. Expensive commute to the hotel.

I am a huge fan of historic bed and breakfasts and, as this one was built in 1106, it is beautifully historic. The owners do a good job of highlighting that history. Wonderful food, beautifully restored, helpful staff. Very close to Heathrow without any airport noise. Also, very close to Windsor Castle, Eton College, and Ascot racecourse.

Two things: Colnbrook itself doesn’t have much of interest besides this hotel, and breakfast is not included in the stay.

Everything about it. The very old building, the pristine room and the food. We had the sea bass option on the evening menu which was exceptional. The piece of fish was hug, well-prepared and was set on 4-5 different vegetables, also perfectly cooked. I think there were mashed potatoes as well. This was all for £18. It took longer to prepare but the results were spectacular.

We come here for one day every year when we first arrive in UK. It's such a wonderful inn. The food was fabulous, the pub was lively. And our room was extremely comfortable!

One tiny issue in room 7. The shower didn't have a little caddie or divit for toiletries. It's not that big a deal. But it could use one of those cheap attachments for convenience. Other than that, AMAZING as always!

Service at breafast was very slow resulting in me being late on arrival at site despite having allowed ptenty of time. Staff were friendly. Car parking was good. Breakfast was very slow arriving Skirting boards and architrave on the toilet cubicle were very grimy at the bottom Had the soup for dinner and it arrived tepid Breakfast took ages to arrive - to the extent that I went from having "oodles" of time to being late arriving on site. Opted for the veggie breakfast at £9.50 but was then charged £12:00 (the price on the menu for a full English) as I'd had a pot of tea. Noisy mattress - sounds odd but I think the mattress was based on springs so everytime I breathed, I could hear "ping, ping. ping" from below. Ended up with earphones and listening to the radio, then managed to get to sleep. Directions to the rooms were not clearly marked, some were hidden behind a plant

As we left the hotel at 4.45 we weren't there for breakfast. We arrived at 19.30 and we didn't want dinner. We checked in to our and then went and had a drink in the lounge and had nearly night aa we were getting up at 3.15. The room was very clean and the facilities were excellent with tea and coffee provided. I booked the room because of the hotels proximity to terminal 5. It was an easy 10 minute drive to the airport. In future when I am flying from Heathrow and need to stay overnight I will book the Ostrich Inn

I kinda stumbled across the Ostrich Inn in Colnbrook. An attractive Inn with a traditional pubs vibe. The food was well received by the locals and my room was both historically old and modern at the same time. Spotless and comfortable. Bar lady happy and very welcoming. Special mention to the lady manager . . . Just exceptional. I will head back to the Ostrich again. Definitely.

There was Zero I didn't like! It lashed it down with torrential rain and aircraft took off every 30 seconds (er it is next to LHR) but this did not matter a jot@

The room was clean, comfortable and warm. A great night’s sleep, bed was so comfortable! We had a small dog with us and the staff very thoughtfully put us in a room close to the entrance on the ground floor to access the car park and outdoors. Staff were great and breakfast was great. Only sorry we were late arriving and missed dinner in the pub/restaurant.

The bathroom was very modern and the shower was fabulous but the room itself was cold despite the towel rail being on.

It is a really quirky pub! In a great location for Terminal 5 at Heathrow, for either a flight or picking up, which we were. They let our cousins come back to freshen up in our room after their long haul flight and we all had breakfast! It was really nice. The bed was really comfortable We will definitely stay here again when we need to.

Just the shower in our room, it had no seal on the bottom of the door and the water just flooded out into the bathroom floor! We think this was the cause of the slightly damp smell in the bathroom.
