House is beautiful and tastefully decorated with many pictures with personal connections to the family. The whole experience was like a page out of Downton Abbey. The location was exceptional: close to the beach with Antony Gormley's "Another Place" installation of iron men dug into the sand. The train into Liverpool was convenient and street parking was abundant. There are several good restaurants nearby. Breakfasts were good. It was a lovely visit.

There was one private bathroom per floor. Other guests had to use one on other floors. Our host got permission from other guests so we could use the one on the same floor as our room. The house is ca 1870 and adding more private baths per floor understandably could not be easily done.

Stunning house with a lovely owner who was very attentive to us and his other guests. The whole property was decorated in such a quirky, creative way and we had a gorgeous sea front view from our room too. The huge games room in the basement was very cool, made sure to make the most of that whilst we could. The breakfast was so tasty as well, worth every penny. We had an amazing stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone interested.

There’s not much I could complain about really. I guess for people who struggle climbing stairs this wouldn’t be the best place to stay with it being a 4/5 storey house. However, this isn’t something we struggled with personally.

There was a wonderful view from our second floor bay window over the dunes to the sea. House beautifully situated on a quiet street with easy parking. Each room tastefully decorated with lots of wonderful art on the walls and many beautiful old marble fireplaces. Although we didn’t use the lower ground, there is a full size billiards table there, dart board and a big screen. The owner had supplied crisps, fresh fruit, espresso coffee machine, tea, plus fresh water and milk. Also our host has an interest in history as revealed by his preservation of this Victorian bath! Also the property is 10 minutes from Anthony Gormley’s iron men - Another Place - so worth seeing.

We were wonderfully welcomed and felt very welcome the whole stay. Breakfast was served thoughtfully. The room was large and very comfortable. Parking free and easy. Tea, coffee, and snacks available. Stunning views and a minute's walk to the unusual beach (Anthony Gormley's Another Place). It was just wonderful.

Not a surprise but be aware in this beautiful old house that the bathroom is not en suite but very close to the room. Our bathroom was up the nearby stairs. Also be aware in this beautiful old house there are stairs to the rooms and no lifts.

Unfortunately having the roof replaced so there was scaffolding everywhere. It didn't impact our stay except the view. Spacious bathroom with old style fittings in keeping with the age of the age. Nice big comfy bed. TV was a little small but I could get subtitles working so I was happy. Very quiet - no noise transfer from other parts of the house. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable about Liverpool. It made us wish we had longer to spend there. There is a full size snooker table available that we didn't get a chance to use due to our short stay.

Both the accomodation and location are exceptional. The property is steeped in history, maintaining stunning original features, including a magnificent art decor tiled bathroom ,sweeping staircase and wonderful antique furniture. Jonathan, the owner was very welcoming and cooks a lovely omelette!. The property overlooks the beach and the views are amazing. We watched the sunset from our bedroom window. There are plenty of very good bars and restaurants 10 mins walk away near Waterloo station. Perfect choice

Aberley House is a stunning property. The breakfast was good and the menu offered extra choices for a small charge. Located a short stroll from the beach, the town and local station (Waterloo), and opposite the house is a lovely park area. We were offered parking but chose to park on the road where there was always plenty of space. The bedroom was spacious and tea, coffee, fruit and snacks were provided as well as the use of a fridge.

We were met by the friendly owner upon arrival and shown our accommodation in detail. The building has been maintained to a very high standard, and our room was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, nice bath robes, thick towels, and toiletries were all provided. We had a very comfortable stay and a good night's sleep. The full English breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be revisiting when in the area and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a high standard of accommodation.

The welcome was perfect, Jonathan even moved his car so we could park it on his drive as it was full of our son's University stuff. The road is a dead end so no through traffic and safe, but he understood our concerns nevertheless without fuss. The road is very quiet and peaceful, and the views are spectacular. The sea view room was large and comfortable and the bathroom down the stairs was large and opulent. Jonathan was very accommodating, offering to cook our breakfast later than usual so we could do the local Crosby Parkrun, which was very gracious of him. The house is large and very grand. The service very friendly and warm. What's not to like?

Jonathan was a very helpful and welcoming host. Aberley House is a beautiful, well maintained property in an excellent location to explore both coast and city centre. Accommodation is of a very high standard. Breakfast excellent. Basement gamesroom with snooker table, dart board and record player with original Beatles and Hendrix vinyls was a lovely bonus. I really couldnt fault our stay. Would definitely look to stay here when next visiting Liverpool.
