First time stopping at the Thomas Arms Hotel and pleasantly surprised. Greeted by reception staff when we arrived and then headed to the bar for a drink and food. The owners( Marstens)have obviously spent some money refurbing downstairs which is relaxing and comfy with lots of settees and relaxer chairs. Only had a quick lunch there and was good value and tasty. We asked for a quiet room and were moved away from the front of the hotel. The room was large and comfy enough but needs updating which we presume is an ongoing process at the moment as there were skips with old furniture and baths etc in part of the car park. Overall very impressed and very good value for money

Good location for town centre and beach area, fresh bakery next door, food very nice, excellant Breakfast and tasty especially sunday carvery served up ! Good choice of Ales and beers, staff very helpful. Good sized Room with TV, room fan and Drinks Station. Bath and Shower, comfortable beds.

Traffic a little noisy front room of Hotel, No Blinds to Window in Bathroom and No shelving or Cloak Hangers for Clothing to be put away.

Whole feeling of the place was great - staff were lovely and friendly, location was within walking distance of town and the beds were comfortable, rooms were also spacious (we stayed 5 nights). Sunday carvery was amazing for a family meal and breakfast was good too. I think we got discount food as we were staying there, and meals were really good value as a result. We had our three grown up boys with us too - and it was really comfortable to go and catch up int e bar area, play pool or darts etc.... Right next door is a Jenkins bakery (amazing vanilla slices) and also a barber shop - handy for a quick haircut. Would definitely stay there again.

No shampoo or conditioner in the shower!! we had to go out and buy some. No fridge in the room - just a small one to keep milk for tea and coffee would have been great. The rooms were dated in fixtures and fittings, and minor work would fix things like broken lamps.

The Location is brilliant l, the staff were very obliging, the beer and food was very good the room was lovely and warm. Cannot go wrong with the place itself theres just a few minor things to tweak and it will be excellent.

In rooms there was no bins in bedroom or bathroom. No toilet brush. No shelf in shower to but shampoo etc.only one toilet roll over a 2 day 2 night stay. No draws in bedrooms. No mirrors in bedroom for dressing. No hangers. Only 1 towel each for 2 days.

It was querky and in a handy location

The fact the staff did not advise me that I would need to ask for a key if returning after 11pm. I arrived back at 11:30pm and there was no one around so I was unable to get in, fortunately I had my car keys in my handbag so sat in the car and made contact with a friend who was staying at the hotel. He was fortunately still awake and was able to let me in.

Had a wonderful night’s sleep. Friendliness and professionalism of staff were both above high standard. Good safe security and fire regulations. I shall be staying again and recommending to friends x

Room scents in the main areas. Like all hotels since the smoking ban of 2007, eventhough this was a vital move for physical health of staff and guests, the main smell we have nowadays is that of food. So Can we add a firm eucalyptus or pine room fragrance to the communal areas ??

Room spacious, comfortable bed. Nice size bath and great shower. Room clean and linen,towels provided very clean . Location very good near to the shops and bars. Near to Llanelli beach and cycling track which we done an 18 mile bike ride. Also if you like fishing plenty of places to go. Carmarthen not far away. All the staff at The Thomas Arms were very friendly, helpful and the food was very good. John and Jamie were very polite, pleasant and made us very welcome. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed at Thomas Arms in Llanelli for 4 nights. The assistent manager and manager were very kind and very hard working men. They were super friendly. Rooms were good. Meals (we had breakfast and dinner) were great. We had lots of tea (ha ha, we are in Wales, so we really had to drink Welsh tea). Overall, you really have to go to Thomas Arms. Friendly, hard working staff. The location is very good and close to the old city centre. Trostre is about 30 minutes walk away. We had a good stay. Thank you very much. We forgot to ask your names (assistent manager and manager). We live far away but i know we will visit for a dinner or breakfast again this year. See you.

Everything was super! We liked everything.

Obviously has been recently refurbished and the rooms were very well equipped and with a lovely new bathroom and shower.

The room was so so hot, we had fans but it was still very uncomfortable at night even with the window open( but was quite noisy as next to a busy road)

Price and location is good for a weekend night out, we live a short drive away, so it was good to be able to drink and stay overnight. I will return for more nights in future.

It wasn't a big deal, but the booking in system passwords did not work for the receptionist. It took a few phone calls to sort out the technical issue. I waited patiently but I was concerned about my time, and getting to where I needed to be on time.
