I attended for my childhood friends wedding, and it was absolutely beautiful! The afternoon tea was gorgeous.. I decided to extend my stay so my daughter and I could have a little mini holiday.. I liked the hotel as a whole. Very beautiful! I can't comment on the facilities or the breakfast that I paid for, because I was travelling solo with my 2yo, and couldn't take her to the pool after 5, couldn't use the spa because I was on my own with her, and I also couldn't utilise the breakfast because it stops at 9:30 and my daughter wakes up at 9:30, but I assume the breakfast is lovely! !

A few maintenance/ cleaning issues - one of the hinges on the window in my room was damaged, so I couldn't open the window, otherwise the window was hanging inward on one hinge. I notified the staff, so hopefully it gets fixed soon! My only other issue was there was dust in spots (skirting boards mainly)- not an issue for me and not something I really look for honestly. The only reason I noticed was because I was trying to figure out where the switch for the mirror light was - Again, it isn't something I typically look for but if someone with respiratory issues were to stay, it could be a health risk for them. The drinks were very pricey, £3.90 for a j20 was a big shock!

The family room was spacious and very clean and tidy. The spa, including steam, jacuzzi and pool are a welcome addition for relaxation and Gay (can’t remember her full name), couldn’t do anything more for us at breakfast. She was brilliant. Most of the staff were very pleasant, in fact.

The young man serving in the bar overcharged us twice and argued that he was right and the people who had served us previously had it wrong? He also licked his fingers several times whilst serving our drinks (yuck). He also couldn’t take his eyes off the TV screen behind him.

Location and the staff were excellent.

We stayed in Room 43. It has a huge bathroom. The second sink was clogged and we had to remove the sink filter for the water to be drained. Need some attention to the shower on the bath tub and also to the shower curtain. Difficult to have a shower as it split water everywhere even though the curtain is there. When we spoke to the receptionist she said all other rooms with the same category also has the same bathroom. There was a damaged small bin in side the bathroom. It was bent all around. Always it has to be opened by hands. Also give some attention on the second bed. The mattress is not comfortable. Please give some attention on above. Thanks

The room was nice enough,little dated,furniture worn,but clean room. Parking was fine. The spa area looked grimey in certain places, for example all around the windows by the jacuzzi green mould around the bottom. The shower before you go in the pool doesn't work properly. Could do with facelift. Breakfast was ok,but as I attended 845 the hash brown were rock hard and not edible. Staff are extremely helpful & will bend over backwards for anything you need. The meal in the evening was beautiful and reasonably priced.

Spa with swimming pool area- cleanliness

It was perfect, the room was so modern and comfortable, the staff couldn’t do enough and were so friendly with our baby son too! The receptionists were so friendly and helpful! Location was amazing and central, drinks were wonderful! It seems like a really fun hotel with lots of events on! Would 100% stay again!

Didn’t enjoy the breakfast, but that’s me being picky and nitpicking, nothing to do with the hotel!

Location was excellent for all we wanted for the wedding, retail shopping area and then for Oxwich bay after. The staff were FANTASTIC, very welcoming and responsive to needs. Dinner was high standard and brekkie was absolutely solid English breakfast+continental breakfast bar. Good parking on upper+lower levels

I think the decor was slightly old school for some people's tastes. But I'm a bit old school and didn't mind -especially because everything was neat, the service was excellent+warm and there are a great array of facilities (spa, dining area, outdoor seating, lounge area with TVs for the game) to use there. Careful with how you park on the upper level as some cars got blocked in when delivery/transport vehicles did their drop off in the central upper parking area.

The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Attended party night which was excellent and the food was fantastic along with breakfast the following morning. My room was bigger than expected for a single and was warm and clean.

The decor needs upgrading along with the outside of the building the railings looked rusty and tired. The spa was a little tired and needed a total refurb. The changing rooms and showers could be better, but we're clean.

Friendly staff, nice food in restaurant, generally comfortable room, lovely massage in the spa. There were loud functions going on during our stay (no pre-warning) - we were moved to a quieter side of the hotel which we appreciated.

The spa (pool, steam room etc) area could do with a good deep clean, especially the floors (eg under chairs, in steam room, hair & gum etc on the floor). Lots of staff around but didn’t see anyone mop/ wipe the floors while we were in there (and it wasn’t overly busy). The room was clean, but we were woken several times by noisy guests during the night then by cleaning staff chatting loudly outside our room in the mornings. Food and service in restaurant was good, decor was strange.

The staff absolutely made it. They were lovely and helpful throughout. They put some birthday sprinkles on our dinner table for my husband which was a nice touch. I was surprised that we weren’t given bathrobes at the pool to take back to the room - felt a little less ‘Spa’

Our bathroom had a broken toilet seat and bin. Nothing huge but took away from it being completely luxurious.

Room was excellent. Evening meal was very good & breakfast good.

Band in lounge area was very loud in our room (17). Prevented both of us from attempting to sleep till gone midnight. We were not impressed. If you want to do that then I suggest you do some sound deadening in rooms. We had an early start so spoiled what would have been a full 10/10 across the board.
