The owner, and Gillian a local friend who had come in to help, were both lovely. Gillian was great fun, gave us some great local recommendations and made us a delicious breakfast in the morning. It's a gorgeous house, where you feel very accommodated for, we really enjoyed our stay.

Didn't necessarily dislike anything, there could maybe be more photos to show what the space is like, and maybe inform the customer of the living arrangements/sharing kitchen etc as it's some may want to know in advance - it worked great though, and will be recommending to others!

The inside of the croft is beautifully restored and when the log burner is lit, very cosy. The host prepared an amazing and very generous breakfast and we had very good company from the couple who had been staying in the yurt.It was also very quiet.

From the photos, I thought the views from the windows would be more of the countryside rather than the road and houses opposite. The bedroom and bed felt a little cramped as we're tall people, but once we realised we could use the sitting room this didn't matter. However, the shower room really is tiny and we both found the sink awkward to use because of the placement of the mirror.

Melanie is a wonderful, warm and generous host and made us feel extremely welcome. The Croft itself is beautiful and really interesting historically with all modern home comforts, including a very comfy bed with heated blanket, amazing round bath, and a great selection of teas, coffee and treats. The home cooked breakfast was special, quite honestly the most delicious I've ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I'm just sorry we couldn't have stayed longer!

Nothing not to like.

Loved the design and wood burning fire. Breakfast was delicious. Owner is a real character and is an active part of your stay. The lounge is also their own lounge and dining area. Lovely wee dog who will snuggle with you; cats around too. We stayed in the yurt the first night although we hadn’t booked it. It was an experience! Probably better in summer though☺️

The double room is small so you probably won’t spend time in there other than to sleep or perhaps read in bed. It was cosy though. The showerroom isn’t heated however and we found that chilly as we were there in winter.

We had a lovely welcome from our host and her family. We all loved the breakfast, super yummy and it was good that our host made it in front of so we knew it was nice and fresh. I was under the impression that I'd booked a deluxe triple room so was a bit surprised that when I printed out the confirmation that it was a yurt. First time for all of us in a yurt and apart from the walk to the bathroom in the main house it was a good experience.

The booking system not making us aware that it was a yurt and the feeling that our host wasn't prepared for 3 as the bed wasn't made and it seemed that although she had let us know that gluten free request for one of us was accepted it seemed it had been forgotten. I had also sent a query about the beds to our host but I did not receive a reply.

This was a very unique stay! We stayed in the yurt, with a cozy fireplace and comfortable bed. Melanie made breakfast and it was superb! Her poached egg with avocado salad is to die for!! She was very friendly and even made an early breakfast the second day because we had to leave early.

If you are staying in the yurt, the bathroom is inside the main house, not so handy when it pouring rain outside, but it is all part of the experience.

The location was perfect, 2 minutes walk from the loch. The building it's self has been very tastefully restored and theres a beautiful garden to sit in. The owner was really freindly and made us a delicious breakfast in the morning, made with some veggies she had growing in her garden. It was fabulous!

A lovely unique experience. Felt immediately welcomed into Melanie's home. Having a leisurely breakfast chatting around the kitchen table whilst Melanie prepared a gorgeous breakfast was a great finish to what had been a perfect week exploring some of Scotland. The house is just stunning and being made to feel really part of it rather than just another guest was really special.

A great Croft house with a welcoming host! The house is decorated with cool design elements and eye for detail. The bedroom was cosy with a very comfortable bed. In the morning we were provided with an amazing breakfast; whisky porridge and toast with avocado and a poached egg. It was a very welcoming warm experience staying here.

Niks.

The family provided us with a warm welcome, including our dog, and everything was very homely. The Croft is beautifully decorated, breakfast was a delight, and the good hot shower was appreciated after a day hill walking.

The bedroom is a little small, but that can't be helped in an old croft. On times things were a little haphazard, but that added to the charm.
