Stayed here twice before in 1st floor rooms which were great. Decided to treat myself to superior room but it wasn't as nice as the smaller rooms. it was big as spacious with a big ensuit. The hotel is right in middle of the town which was perfect. Bonus was free continental breakfast each day which I wasn't expecting..There was plenty choice and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Good location for lovely walks. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Room was on 2nd floor and the only room up there. I felt quite isolated. There were sloping ceilings near bed and over the bath/shower where I hit my head several times. the room was pretty austere with no pictures or anything on the walls. A big round table with 4 wooden chairs in middle of room. I expect to fill the room a bit. But 4 chairs unnecessary in a double room. There was no chair suitable for sitting relaxing watching television. I would stay again but request a room on first floor.

Room was clean, fresh and well maintained. Breakfast was simple, but good selection of continental goodies and plenty of places round about for a hot breakfast. Meals in the accommodation are excellent although never ate in the hotel this stay,but have done recently and never fails on quality! Easy come and go from the hotel and local to all needs from shops for the room in terms of snacks, beverages and takeaways. Will definitely book again in the near future. Stayed in most hotels in callendar and this is up there!

Parking. No designated parking on street or car park but plenty of spaces available within walking distance.

We loved our stay here and don’t agree with previous feedback. The double room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and even offered to take our backpacks up the stairs for us when we arrived

There were a couple of issues with the family room but this is now under new management so appreciate some of these issues are still being worked on. The main issue was there were blinds missing on two of the skylights and the shower was a little small and could do with a shelf to put your toiletries on so you don’t have to bend down to pick them up

The location of hotel is right in the centre of town, we had evening meal which was lovely and a good atmosphere in the bar. Our room was small but everything we needed for a one night stop over. It’s not The Ritz but it’s clean, cosy and comfortable. The hotel has lots of character and a buffet style continental breakfast which was perfect as it meant we could get on with our travels. Whilst there was no car park there was no shortage of parking close by and we managed to park very easily. We would definitely choose this hotel again for a stopover in Callander.

There was nothing I didn’t like, we wanted a clean comfortable bed for the night with a friendly reception and that’s what we got.

Lovely bright spacious room. Very quiet. Excellent tea tray with plenty t-bags and milk etc, as well as chocolate biscuits. Also bottles of water provided. Room has everything you need. Hairdryer next to full length mirror which is great for getting ready, as a lot of rooms do not have a decent mirror. Continental breakfast was also provided with a good choice of items. Dinner at hotel was also excellent. Smaller meal options were available which was great and more than ample and very reasonably priced.

Very comfortable stay at the hotel we were there as a family and had 4 rooms. Nice comfortable rooms and nice and cosy. The staff were so kind and friendly and were so helpful. The continental breakfast was so lovely and plenty of it. A great central location to have a great weekend meeting up with our family members who have moved to Callander. We had such a great time.

The staff were really lovely, friendly and polite. We had food here and it was really good, along with the continental breakfast offered we found very useful. It’s in a great location, able to park your car in the car park less than a minute away, which is free after 5:30 or 6:30 I believe. Within walking distance to Callander crags and the bracklinn falls, as well being in the heart of Callander town.

This hotel was a last minute selection and we weren't sure what to expect. On arrival, we were welcomed by staff and shown to a beautifully modernized room with a huge bed and lovely bedding. The room was ensuite, though it had just been described as being a "private bathroom." The staff made sure there was table in the bar for us should we wish to eat at the hotel. The menu had some interesting choices and the food was delicious and nicely presented. The staff in the bar were chatty and helpful as this was our first night in the area. Breakfast was included which we hadn't realized. It was a self service buffet but there was plenty of choice including provision for gluten free diets. We did not leave hungry.

There was no provision for car parking. We were lucky and found a spot right opposite the hotel. The tap in the bathroom was a minor irritation, in that the water pressure was so high, that it sprayed us sometimes rather than filled the basin.

Great staff. Good space (room 8). Excellent dinner in the bar.

The lighting in my room had bulbs hanging out of sockets in the ceiling, no shades on the bedside lights and the bathroom mirror on off control is a law unto itself. Eventually I worked out that to switch it off you put your finger in a hole on the right hand side and pray you don't get electrocuted. Not great for an electric appliance in a bathroom!

Very nice clean place. The rooms are nicely updated with a king size bed and nice bathroom. The only thing is that you can often hear other rooms TV, people talking etc. Especially if you're trying to go asleep early or have a lie in. It's not overly loud but I could hear it so my earplugs came in handy. It wouldn't put me off staying there again by any means. The staff that work there are very nice and helpful. Their restaurant has a good variety of food on the menu and I found it tasty and good value
