Breakfast was excellent...a good choice of cereal/fruit/yoghurt/bread and freshly cooked delicious breakfasts - I had a cheese and mushroom omelette, my friend had the full English. Coffee was good, strong and plentiful. The hosts were very friendly and caring, including offering cold remedies when they saw I was struggling a bit and a complimentary G&T each as they are awaiting their alcohol license. The rooms were spacious and warm, though the bathrooms are quite snug. The location is good...convenient for the high street but still quiet.

There are a few small issues with the fixtures and fittings, which the hosts are addressing.

A truly wonderful stay. Lovely Hosts, they went above and beyond for us. My partner and I stayed over the New Years, on arrival had the option of rooms and could sleep as a couple. A truly kind gesture. Incredibly soft and comfy beds. Rooms and bathrooms very clean and simply yet tastefully decorated. BREAKFAST. Large options, delicious quality. To have fresh juicy cut fruit and berries, to caramelised bananas on fluffy french toast. A perfect way to start the new year and Im only sad I couldn't finnish my dish. My partner spoiled himself to a traditional fry-up and from a few tip bits was mouth melting, greasy restoration from the previous nights drinking. All accompanied by freshly brewed coffee and a selection of juices all included in the price. The time we spent there was absolutely wonderful and i would highly recommended anyone staying in the area to stay here, I definitely will be returning and staying here again in the future.

The building and rooms combine period style with comfort. The owners Nick and Susannah are very welcoming and can't do enough to make your stay exceptional. We had dinner at the hotel and it was outstanding. There was a good choice and the execution and delivery was first class. I was particularly pleased with my vegetarian option. It was both delicious and creative, such a pleasant change from the usual unimaginative vegetarian offering. Breakfast was at the same high standard as dinner with an excellent choice and everything freshly cooked. We can't wait to return.

The welcome was lovely. The food excellent. Everything very flexible, arrived when I wanted to. Helped with the luggage. i did not use the garden facilities which looked inviting for a cocktail or two...Maybe next time !Even buttoned my jacket proper;y for me I was when going out. Accommodation was not modern but everything clean and tidy. Nice and welcoming. Hosts were delightful First class for a weekend in a busy area convenient for places of interest in the Trossachs and Loch Lomand area. Enjoyable sail on Loch Veacner, Access very near to property to the Meadows for an evening walk . Parling no problem

it woulld have been easier if there had been a lift but these large converted houses are not suitable for lifts which was no surprise to me. There were 15 or so steps which I did manage without any mishaps

The chef was a genius who prepared fresh food he got from farmers and he picked his own fruits and herbs and rare mushrooms. I never ate such delicious and fresh healthy food. The rainbow trout was fresh caught. The chicken from an organic farmer. The food was beautiful too!

I was enchanted with everything.

Great location in town, but it's still calm. Bread and scones are baking in the morning, and you are in comfortable surroundings. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The garden area is lovely on a sunny day. The snacks in the garden were fresh and homemade. It's been a long time since I asked for handcut chips, and that's actually what was served! We had drinks later sitting in the front room, the service the decor and the music were all very relaxing.

It isn't really a dislike -I would have loved the chance to try more of the food but didn't want a full set menu in the evening. I can understand why they do this. It is their craft to keep the cooking standards so high and to provide high-quality restaurant food and service.. it just smelled so good! But I eat little and often... so it was really my fault. Next time I will definitely prepare for a big meal because I would love to try that menu!

Top location and yet very quiet rooms. You have the option of eating outside in the hotel's own garden when the weather is nice; the offer is really very good and varied. This hotel is ideal for staying a few days and making day trips from there. The two hosts are super nice and authentic, very personable!

I was impressed with Leslie and Josh they could not do enough for us they go away and beyond excellent hosts ,the local area was ideal for travelling for tourists, we had everything in the room we required. I would certainly use this hotel again. Oh and it is great for dogs.

I could not find anything I did not like

Breakfast was excellent. Love dogs and their dog was so cute but the dog was a wee bit too close while we were eating.

Overall good but the bathroom door in the room has a crease in the middle which allows your travel Buddy to see you in there. While most people won’t look in there it’s a bit unnerving. This could be a simple and non expensive fix -also opening and closing the door was terribly loud.

Room was big and airy had everything you required for a cosy stay. Breakfast was great Hosts were extremely welcoming Located right in the middle of town Great value for money

Entrance and unused rooms could have been tidier.
