Hostel was clean, shower water pressure was fantastic, enjoyed watching the rabbits and squirrels out on the front lawn in the evening. The common room is huge and kitchen also large. We were only here for one night but would've happily stayed longer if we had time!
Beware that this hostel is up a big hill, this was not a problem for us as we got dropped off in a car but could be a concern for some people! Also there's gravestones outside the building as the hostel is in an old church - the building has lots of character but maybe if you are superstitious then this could be a concern to you.

The hostel is in an unbeatable location near Stirling Castle. We had a private room which was basic but comfortable, although the bed was not the softest. I have stayed in private rooms in other SYHA hostels before and they were far more basic and cramped, so this was very good. We did not try any of the shared facilities including the kitchen, but the staff was very welcoming and I would stay again if visiting the area.
The bathroom situation wasn't ideal - yes it is ensuite, but everything was separate (shower across corridor from bathroom, sink separate from either). It would have been nice to at least have a proper door on the shower room instead of just a curtain.

The staff was so incredibly friendly and they care about you as a traveller. They are in my top 3 most friendly hostel staff I've ever encountered on all my travels. The building is also beautiful, it was even a part of my Stirling walking tour! It is part of the Stirling old town and on walking distance of everything. a very, very good price/quality ratio!
The bathroom and shower aren't really separated from the room so it didn't give me really a feeling of privacy. Also the sockets aren't everywhere close to the beds. Though this didn't really bother me during my stay.

We had a twin ensuite room, which was very comfortable. The location was a short walk or taxi journey to the station and Stirling centre. The kitchen facilities were good with free tea and coffee. We made our breakfast there on the day we were leaving. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We weren't sure what to expect as we had only been in a youth hostel in our younger days, but this was very good, and we would use it again.
The room was at the top of the building and might not be suitable for less able travellers who have difficulty climbing stairs.

Very nice and helpful staff (who kindly went to search for a tiny screwdriver for me! Way beyond what one would deem 'necessary') Stirling is a beautiful city and I was amazed at how goorgeous the building looked! If it wasn't for the sign, I would've walked right past.
There are sinks in your room, but the water isn't drinkeable. This is a bit of a bummer, as you always have to prepare your water bottles for the night. The room was fairly warm and stuffy, and we could only open one of the windows, ajar.

The location of the Hostel is perfect for exploring Stirling. There is some parking, but you need to check in early because the spaces do go. The parking on street is free at night, but not during the day. The room was comfortable and as I had the last room at the end of the hall, it was very quiet. Good kitchen facilities for self catering, but meals are served at a reasonable price. Although the dining room is large, there were no empty tables when I had breakfast, so ate in my room.
The private double rooms are on the top floor and there isn't a lift. And with Hostels, the check-in time is strictly after 4pm.

Amazing location just several steps from both center and Castle. The lady at the reception was very helpful (Wendy). The room was basic ,but it was expected considering the price
The most critical issue: the room was on the top floor with a skylight that couldn’t be opened, there was a technical smell and very hard air with lack of oxigene in the room and it was impossible to get fresh air or ventilate. I couldn’t sleep well and kept waking up from a lack of air. Minor details: outlets and bedside table were located only near one of beds, the ventilation was noisy, and the walls had very high sound permeability. There was only one hanger and one chair.

Excellent location, near the castle and historic sites. Beautiful room, mine was the double bedded room with windows overlooking wonderful views. The flexibility to prepare your own meals - well equipped kitchen. Simple but adequate breakfast for a good price. Friendly staff
Situated at the top of a hill which was a bit of a track, but that is part of the charm TBH. Lack of shower gel or soap in the shower. Limited eateries at night, but that has nothing to do with the hostel.

We stayed in two double rooms in the attic. Very friendly staff who met us with several requests. Pleasant, clean rooms, the kitchen is well equipped, the living room is spacious. There is also an outdoor grassy part of the yard. The building itself and its surroundings radiate history. The location is very close to the center, but it is on a hill, so expect a climb.
Travelers with walking problems or lots of luggage should take into account that the building does not have an elevator, and there is some climbing to get to the attic rooms.

The position is fantastic and the common space is really nice and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, and the dining room big and spacious. It is good to be able to cook your food eat it all together. It's a historical building just few steps from the castle.
The room is rather small and basic. You can't regulate the water nor the temperature in the shiower. However It's good for a night. We all enjoyed it
