Room was clean and comfortable, very nice location, remote and quiet.

Meals and service were average quality.

The good breakfast was great, the room was cosy, clean and well equipped, the staff were really friendly and hotel had a nice charm to it. We would love to come back!

We stayed in the Magpie room, and what could have been an amazing view of Ben Lawers/Glahs was spoiled by a dirty roof space and overlooking accommodation which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, when I contacted the hotel via Instagram for some help finding a good taxi company, I got a really rubbish and unhelpful, response of "I just do the Social Media" so it's maybe worth having a wee list ready to give to anyone who might need this assistance going forward.

Cosy little hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were very accommodating - I arrived pretty late and they went out of their way to keep the kitchen open and offer me dinner (which was delicious). My room was cosy and overall seemed good value for money. Breakfast was tasty too with a good range of options available.

It was late winter so perhaps quiet season but there didn't seem to be a reception area/ it wasn't clear where to check in/out so I just had to flag down staff when I saw them. I didn't mind this but it was just a bit confusing and would be an issue if you were in a rush. I was given milk for my room to make coffee in the morning but it had turned. Not a big deal but if it's going to be offered, worth checking it's still in date. Otherwise this place was fab, especially for the price

Breakfast was great. Perfect poached eggs each day just the way I like them - soft and runny. Great choice on the menu. Room sadly had view of a flat roof when I expected a “courtyard view” but will know to ask for different room next time. Rooms were a little warm even though heating was off! There was a “drain” smell in room which was a little disappointing - seemed to be coming from the shower and on day two of our stay the heating had been turned on (by staff I assume) so perhaps it is something that occurs when heavy rainfall. Staff were super helpful and a shout out to our super helpful server ‘Andy’ for getting the carb content of food for my diabetic husband when she saw his insulin carry pouch on our table.

The lack of a view from our room. Unfortunate drain smell. The weather 💦😂

We chose this hotel firstly because of the location - an exceptionally beautiful part of Scotland - and were very pleasantly surprised by the high standard set by the hotel and the restaurant. Our room was a good size with a lovely comfy bed and the ensuite included a walk-in shower. The staff were all lovely and the restaurant staff went out of their way to cope with my allergens. Breakfast was superb with the best scrambled eggs ever!

There wasn't anything we didn't like!

I liked the standard of the room. It was very clean, well laid out and the ensuite was modern and of good quality. The bed was comfortable and the linen was good. The welcome from staff was warm and helpful.

The close proximity to the kitchen extractor fan was a bit bothersome, but not unduly, as it went off after service. There was no daily room service evident as coffee, etc was not topped up or the bed made up. Minor really, but just saying......

Beautiful location. Lovely little hotel clean cosy rooms. Restaurant was amazing with delicious food for breakfast and evening meal. We were at the end of the season and were treated really well. We would love to return again as loch Tay is stunning.

We would have enjoyed a bath as the rooms only has a shower. But it was modern clean and very nicely done. We went at the end of the season and it was dark early so had to wait to see the views of the loch.

Everything was excellent. Staff were very friendly and welcoming; great breakfast and dinner; room was modern but in keeping with traditional style, good shower. We were very fortunate to have good weather and saw the beautiful surroundings in all its glory. Loved the whole atmosphere of the place. We will definitely be back.

No complaints at all.

The location is absolutely stunning. The hotel is on the quiet side of the loch and its extensive ground border the loch. The hotel,at the front, appears to be a large old cottage, but to the back has been tastefully extended and includes cottages, and eco pods in the grounds. We stayed in one of the beautiful large modern cottages which have huge windows overlooking the grounds and loch. The whole place is well maintained and immaculately clean.

The staff were very good and attentive. The position of the hotel deserves a longer stay and will be the case on our next visit.

Quite pleasantly, we were told that the milk in the room was fresh, which we really appreciated. However, it did not arrive after talking about it with them at dinner. The result was no coffee first thing in the morning. It was a small issue, but maybe a milk run would solve the issue.
