Everything was so clean! The bedding was top notch, the towels were fluffy and very large. Tea or coffee service with biscuits were available in the room. Chef Lee made breakfasts that were extraordinary. Each day there was a different special, and the regular fare was bountiful; actually, it was far more food than my small stomach could consume. Wine, spirits, and soft drinks were available later in the day. Craig and Jordan were exemplary in providing service each day. Everyone was so very friendly.

The front stairs up from street level did not have a handrail, making entry and egress a bit difficult for those whose balance is not perfect. When I commented on this I learned that local historical laws made changing this feature difficult. Perhaps a creative solution can be found to provide some sort of hand grips.

The room was on the top floor. Very spacious, quiet, and comfortable. A great view up to the hills behind Aberfeldy. Bathroom was spotlessly clean, and the shower excellent. There was also a large tub. Breakfast was exceptional, with an extensive menu as well as a daily special. The food was freshly prepared and of a very high standard. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and service in the breakfast room was impeccable.

Aberfeldy itself was quiet by the time I arrived in the late afternoon, with the information centre (and public toilets), most businesses, and galleries, closing at 4pm. Not exactly a dislike, but disappointing for a town that clearly relies heavily on the tourist trade.

We booked as we were visiting the HotBox Spa at Loch Tay, unfortunately our session was cancelled due to the weather so we went for an Italian -‘KB’s’ (wonderful) and then had a lovely child free evening watching films. Our room was in the ‘Annex’- very new feeling, the room was VERY clean. It smelt great! USB charging points AND lamps with a phone charging dock on each side of the bed- I didn’t realise until we were tidying to leave. There was a tea tray with tea and coffee facilities, nice wee packets of biscuits too. Two bottles of water in a fridge- lovely gesture, (most places have stopped this!). Fridge was a decent size- we kept a large bottle of water and cans of juice in there (Co-op across the road). The bathroom had small bottles of lovely little toiletries, shower is one of the best in a hotel that I’ve had- great pressure! The room was modern in a lovely older building with nice little touches- bed was huge, well worth the upgrade! Breakfast in main hotel (literally next door) was amazing- lots of options (AND COURSES!!) I didn’t catch our breakfast hosts name but his service was outstanding- serious attention to detail, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone we met in the hotel was friendly and professional, a relaxed but efficient vibe to the place. Will absolutely return here!!

The Annex was well appointed and we appreciated the washing machine and dishwasher which we required to use during our stay. The bathroom was nice and we really liked the shower. Lovely furnishings. Breakfasts in the hotel were generous and the daily special was always imaginative and tasty. The location is in the centre of Aberfeldy and a number of restaurants, cafes, shops and services were within a short walking distance.

With the Annex windows facing a main road, it could get pretty noisy. Most mornings truck noises woke us up before our alarms did. Two mornings we heard a lot of noise from the unit behind ours - both voices, and what sounded like drawers being slammed shut. There is no blind on the entrance door and street lights shone through the frosted glass all night.

On arrival very welcoming. I had mobility issues which they accommodated to the request. Staff especially bar staff Jordan was exceptional nothing was a problem. Housekeeping and catering staff were second to none. Would have no hesitation on recommending this establishment

With complete reluctance having mobility issues there is no ramp access if I was to use my mobility uses I.e scooter or wheelchair. And there are no hand rails available to access stairs to hotel. But I truly don't want that to detract that from the service and experience of the hotel .

EVERYTHING. The location is wonderful- walking distance to the local shops & restaurants in the charming town of Aberfeldy, the property is a seamless blend of modern amenities with the historic charm of the building. The stairs are beautiful but the lift came in very handy for my parents. Our party of 4 had 2 rooms; the Junior Suite and another large king bedroom, both were immaculate, spacious, well-appointed with teas, coffee, cocoas, cookies, complimentary bottled water in the fridge as well as the bathroom essentials. The breakfast was generous, hearty and delicious. Every person on staff that we encountered was so kind, but Blair and Craig just went above and beyond to make us feel right at home.

Our only disappointment was that we had to leave so soon. Hope to return someday!

We have visited Aberfeldy numerous times over the years. This was our first stay at the Townhouse. The hotel itself is spotless. The rooms are beautifully presented. We had a great sleep, the bed and linen were so comfortable. A nice size shower. Breakfast was amazing. The porridge is quite honestly the best I have ever tasted as was the cooked breakfast. All the ingredients were high quality. The staff at breakfast and the bar were welcoming and very attentive. Everyone was so helpful. We booked way in advance as we were attending a Wedding in the surrounding area. I contacted the hotel and they advised me on taxi numbers. Lovely sized car park is a bonus. When we visit again this is the property we will choose and I will go as far as to say I would change my dates to stay here than anywhere else. 100% The Townhouse

Not only was The Townhouse Aberfeldy a fabulous find the whole village of Aberfeldy is just so charming and beautiful albeit small, there were no shortage of coffee shops, book stores and galleried as well as being centrally located for day trips.. From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly, attentive and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was delicious and generous and again the staff were excellent and happy to share ideas of places to visit in the area. Overall a fantastic stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Townhouse Aberfeldy.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. For the start - very welcoming staff! Very helpful and informative all the time. It was a pleasure to meet all these people. Beautiful building, very nice room, comfortable bed, spotless clean, convenient parking and great communication. Tea & coffee provided with a few snacks, toiletries in the bathroom - everything that you can ask for. Breakfast was exceptional - very tasty, fresh, homemade. Located in the charming town of Aberfeldy, 10 min walk from the distillery and, even closer to the Watermill bookshop. Definitely on our top list, saved for any future travel plans. My husband and I stayed in the economy double room. The room was spotlessly clean with Freeview TV and tea and coffee making facilities with packets of biscuits (always a bonus!), shower was very powerful and the bed was really comfy. Staff were lovely, so helpful, friendly and chatty. My husband and I had a few drinks in the bar before having a meal at a lovely wee Italian restaurant which was a two minute walk away. Breakfast was 10/10. Excellent breakfast to be included in the overall cost. Lots of choice and unlimited tea or coffee. Overall a brilliant choice for a wee overnight stay.
