I’m Gluten intolerant and often I struggle to find something I can eat without having to find someone to have a conversation and often with multiple people. Your breakfast set up was outstanding. Plenty of options and very clearly marked. The dinner options were outstanding too. The staff were also really friendly. The guy in the restaurant was not only outstanding at his job but was fun too. (He was from Bulgaria- didn’t catch his name). The room was really nice and very clean. The grounds are stunning but unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy as much because of some series rain.

Be clear. These are comments. Not complaints. Prices are on the high side. I could easily find a city break and not be paying these drinks prices. As you approach the hotel car park and look at the side of the building the white external finish of the building is badly damaged and makes the hotel look scruffy. It doesn’t send the right message to customers who haven’t stepped inside yet.

Breakfast choice was v good and of high quality.

We had booked DBB and you get £50 to spend in the restaurant at night. However , it is v difficult to get 3 courses for that as the prices are extortionate. Having stayed there in May last year we found a big increase in the prices . Also although i had paid up front we had a 10% service charge slapped on the bill which i think was a cheek. I think £5 for a “ bread basket “ which had about 5 tiny slices of bread and £12.50 for a tiny pudding is just a rip off. The food was good but not good value for money. Probably better to go B&B and eat in the bar .

Lovely friendly staff who all acknowledged us. Asked for a quiet room which we got on top floor. Fabulous dinner which we got in the rate and could spend £50 each . Breakfast had a great choice. Lovely situation right by the river.

Staff very professional and helpful Immaculate absolutely everywhere Excellent seating areas inside and out Food very good Breakfast excellent Swimming pool clean and roomy Grounds outstanding Pianist just outstanding Definitely high on my priority to return

Booked rooms for family party of 9 Months in advance Surprisingly every room far away from each other . Not a deal breaker just possibly better as near together as room style would allow Breakfast booking times seemed to stress staff as a party of 9 appeared difficult to seat . My room 217 was pretty dull with a rather uncomfortable bed No other negatives . Far more perfect features about hotel than these slight concerns .

The location - dunkeld village lovely, the surroundings of the hotel - the trees, the river are all beautiful. Food was very very good at dinner. Drinks good choice - but no Edradour whisky! Really nice and friendly, helpful, efficient staff. Clean and tidy throughout the hotel. Nicely aired hotel and not too hot and stuffy throughout like a lot of others. Views of gardens / river from front rooms and restaurant lovely. Outdoor drinks with view of river on a sunny day really nice!

Bar area a bit lacking in comfort, and cosiness we felt - could do with some cheering up - fresh flowers( not plastic!) / and perhaps some candles/ cushions - just to make it more inviting and pleasant to linger in. Main dining room was nice - but very bright lights in the evening - could be dimmed a little. Some extra touches like candles and fresh flowers on the tables would have been nice/ made it more atmospheric. Also the tables were cheap and peeling in places - perhaps new tables or put cloths on in the nice dining areas? Wine by glass expensive we felt - but nice choice - happy to pay for a better wine.

We enjoyed everything that this hotel had to offer. The room was beautiful as were the grounds. We had dinner for both nights we stayed our waiter was Matt who was very attentive showing great customer service. Every staff member that we interacted with was amazing showing great pride in their job. We booked two long spa treatments and therapist was outstanding (I can’t remember her name but she was small, dark hair and very bubbly) she made sure we were well taken care of and made us feel very relaxed. Overall we have had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

There wasn’t much that I did not like and I’m really nitpicking. Having been to quite a few spa retreats quite often the products used by the spa are found in the changing room and in the bedroom. This was not the case in dunkeld house hotel which let it down. I also did not enjoy having the urinal next to the shower it felt unhygienic.

Location stunning! Hotel staff were amazing with our grandchildren, patient and fun! The pool was great fun for all our family. Great that we could bring the dog!

Dinner was mediocre quality, especially for the price…. Not great value and to be frank, dinner service was terrible, one guest food order forgotten and he had to eat once everyone had finished, also children had to wait for their food. I could go on! However the hotel staff were lovely and tried to make amends in a professional way, and a food discount was applied to our bill. We would rather have had a relaxing meal and pay full price, but the fact they acknowledged the problem helped.

Fantastic setting, lovely layout and decor, attentive staff and comfortable, spacious room. Breakfast was good albeit quite busy and the layout could be made better to avoid congestion

Menu is quite limited and was largely the same at dinner as it was at lunch with minimal veggie / vegan options. We also had a shower head which must have been to replace the original one and it didn’t fit the holder so you had to hold it throughout showering - not great! Also, the beds aren’t too comfy and could definitely do with some firmer, updated mattresses. Leisure facilities are good but minimal changing /showering facilities which are very cramped somewhat spoils it.

The staff were excellent; so friendly and helpful. The setting is stunning and the hotel is so warm and welcoming with the roaring fire. We were upgraded to a river view suite and it was exquisite; the bath and shower were huge and so luxurious. The Highland Soap Co. toiletries were beautiful. The super king bed was possibly the comfiest we've ever stayed in. The pool was lovely and we appreciated the dedicated adult only swim times. We had a delicious evening meal and thoroughly enjoyed breakfast too. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful stay.

Everything was lovely throughout our stay. If I was being particularly picky the pool changing rooms could have done with mopping as the floor was a bit mucky.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was lovely . We upgraded and had a great view. Dinner was venison which was cooked beautifully. Breakfast was great. Loads of choice. Buffet and cook to order eggs, haddock etc. All kept lovely and warm. Spa pool, sauna and steam room very relaxing and the choice of soaps and hand creams in the facilities throughout the hotel are lovely especially in the spa. Would love to go back there and wish my stay had been longer.

I'm glad we upgraded to superior room. Seemed like more space and better view to front of hotel. Liked everything about my stay. The grounds are also amazing for walks.
