Apartment was well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. Bed was very comfortable. View was good. All very comfortable. Pic nic breakfast was excellent. Welcoming package was great including eggs, sourdough loaf, milk, butter and orange juice. Very comfortable.

The problem for me was access to the apartment. From the hotel it was difficult to manage the incline and the steps without a handrail. Staff were extremely helpful and carried my bags. I was also made aware of an alternative route which made things so much easier. Not a deal breaker just something to be aware of.

Very comfortable bed Good food in restaurant for dinner Excellent breakfast Very pleasant, helpful waitress in the restaurant Art on walls fabulous Decor pleasing Great location by river

The absence of any staff to greet us on arrival felt disconcerting and a bit worrying. Response to our ringing bell was very slow. A pre-arrival email said to 'go on through and find someone' if noone there but through where? The bar door was locked and very loud music was playing inside the bar; the kitchen didn't look suitable for guests to venture into so we were stuck. Not a good start. Finally someone came but wasn't very friendly so our hearts sank further. Luckily things then improved and we had a good time. Just get a member of staff for reception!

Breakfast is pretty basic but the quality of the ingredients is excellent. The decor is so lovely and thoughtfully down! The location of this inn is spactacular and the little riverside pub across the street is heaven.

its a definite type of property so I don't want to diss it for things that are part of its identity - like a gorgeous bathtub that is is from an Architectural Digest photoshoot but could not possibly be entered by anyone over the age of 50! ha! It's OK - I don't take baths anyhow. The food was excellent but the minimal number of servers seemed overwhelmed on the night we were there. All that said, Id love to go back -

Super romantic getaway, they think of everything. The room was fantastic, the bed so cosy and comfortable. The bed came with fluffy sheepskin blankets and hot watrbottles. The shower was amazing. The room decor was beautiful and the coffee in the room was amazing. The restaurant was expensive, but nicely done food. The sauna was the highlight of our trip though, with views over the tay.

I unfortunately had a canister of milk in my room for coffee in the morning, and when I opened it it was very very sour and off. It was a really upsetting moment, it was at least 2 weeks out of date.

Cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff, made us feel like staying with friends. Beautiful location right by the river in a lovely historic town. We only stayed one night, while passing through on the way to Inverness, but we had an excellent dinner and a traditional live music session at the bar to round out a perfect evening. The breakfast in the sun the next morning convinced us that we will need to come back one day.

Loved everything about The Taybank! The gorgeous breakfast hamper, live music in the downstairs bar, lovely restaurant, lazy walks along the riverbank, super friendly staff, simple but cozy rooms.

Although the property has free parking for hotel guests, you couldn't guarantee getting a spot (if another guest parked awkwardly). Perhaps the parking bays could be marked?

We had a spacious room with an amazing shower and tub. It's right across from the River Tay with a beautiful view!

We weren't aware that we would need to climb multiple flights of stairs to access our room. Since we both have some knee problems, this was not easy for us. Additionally, there was no television, no hair dryer, and the bed was not very comfortable.

Breakfast Picnic basket is a lovely idea and the fact it was left at the door allowed you to choose when you wanted to eat. Being able to eat breakfast by the river was an added bonus. A very full basket with a lovely variety of foods. Croissants were superb! The Taybank is situated in a beautiful location with a great atmosphere where we enjoyed listening to live music outdoors.

I can't say I was unhappy with anything. The only comment I would make was we didn't know where to leave our keys when we left.

Rooms and interior throughout the hotel were lovely and had a warm personal feel to them

Only thing we could say was the bar closing time. We were advised the bar would shut at 12 however at 11pm we were then told the bar was shut so unfortunately had to go back to our rooms as there were no bars or anything near by.
