I was surprised on the size of the hotel and it's good location to the town which had more on offer than expected. Check in was straight forward- even though checked in on line I still had to enter more details at reception. Room was adequate for me even though definitely dated- ancient air conditioning (it did work though- I needed heat), small TV, decent over bath shower, plentiful supply of coffee and tea with kettle and coffee pod machine. Breakfast was buffet style, decent choice and of good quality. I didn't get to use the Spa facilities- I'm not keen on having to pre-book usage. Definitely would return as a group to play the fabulous Blairegowrie golf courses situated only a few minutes away

Pre booking the Spa was my main gripe but not visiting for the spa reason wasn't such an issue. Dated and need of a makeover to bring up to 2025 expectations- however the price was good

The hotel was in a good position with extra parking just off site.the facilities were very good. Restaurant was very reasonably priced the staff were very friendly .a bit disappointing having to put your number plate in every time you move the car especially when you’re not told this at the beginning of your stay. Only told to put how many days your staying so it was only on the 3rd night after moving the car several times we were informed so now waiting for the fines to come for us to send them back to the hotel to deal with.just aggro you don’t need.

Lovely place, lovely old hotel. It was a last minute booking so I didn't bring spa wear , but comments from other guests were really positive. Next time I will book for longer and enjoy the pool and spa facilities. The meal in the restaurant was absolutely amazing, really good portions and I loved my evening meal and the breakfast 😋. Excellent value for money too 👏

Only negative thing I can say is it was really hot ( not the hotels fault at all) and a fan would have made the stay much more pleasurable. Not a criticism at all , but on hot days the offer of a fan would be very much appreciated 😊

Nice enough, a little tired.

We had booked 10 people for party night 6th Dec. Quoted £89 per room and £39. 95 for party night. A total of £168. All done and confirmed via whats app. When we were up there anyway, we thought we would check. Surprise, Surprise. They didn't have our booking. Reception confirmed she would book it and yes we got confirmation that afternoon but confirmed at nearly double the price and would not honour our quote. So you have lost 10 customer, alot of money. And to be told it wasn't a person behind the what's app it was AI is a joke.

The room was very decent with loads of space. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast had all you could want and was very tasty. The restaurant and bar were spacious. The food was really good. Good beers too. The spa was good. Really nice swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was playing up. Tessa the therapist was great. Go for a massage. Staff were all great. Very helpful and smiley.

Would have liked the jacuzzi if it was working. Every time you move your car you had to register for parking. The fire alarm going off.....but that can't be helped.

The room was great it took us a few minutes to work out how to work the lights haha the bed was massive and so comfy. WiFi wasnt greet so we just used our mobile hotspot. Really thebbed is the comfiest bed we have ever slept in.

We didnt like that the lockers didnt really work in the leisure facilities also that the steam room wasnt working and that the jacuzzi wasnt working but these things happen.

The spa was amazing, 4 adults and 1 child, and we all had a great time. It's really clean and well equipped. We went for food after our session down at the spa, and the food was amazing as well. Great menu. The staff were also really friendly and very helpful. Very child friendly aswell. Our room was a great size for us and our son. He had a bunk bed all to himself and found climbing the ladder amusing. Plenty extra pillows and blankets if needed. We do love a pillow.

The only thing that let the room down was that the wall paper had been obviously hanging off near the bunk beds right in the middle of the wall and had been wripped off so the room could do with redecorating, but apart from that can't fault it.

Lovely location, room was spotless, comfortable stay, enjoyable breakfast.

There was no parking available when we arrived - after an 8 hour journey. Also wasn’t aware of the self check in at reception (after doing on line check in), so staff didn’t engage initially despite being visible, which felt a bit unwelcoming.

The spa facilities are amazing; sauna, steam room, spa, pool, showers and adjacent change rooms are all very clean and modern. Excellent vibes, perfect for decompressing. The food was sublime - far beyond our expectations. The room was very cosy and clean, and the parking (including the overflow carpark) was safe and close to site. The surrounding area; river, and township; was gorgeous and perfect for a leisurely stroll. This place is amazing and we're looking forward to revisiting it in the future.

The water pressure scared us when first using the shower - it got very powerful on the middle setting, so when turning off it became momentarily violent and the showerhead bolted up, causing the aforementioned fright. Other than that, we didn't like that we had to leave.

The location

Our bedroom 250 was a far far too warm . Unhealthy feeling to the point if it was a longer stay I would have asked to be moved . It was right above the spa area ie the sauna and steam room . We did have the windows open constantly and the air con was on most of the time but could not sleep with it on (noise of it ) the room just got too warm again as soon as it was switched off . One of the pillows was also in a terrible state not fit for purpose should just be binned . Apart from the room everything else was perfect . Service , food , cleanliness and the staff were friendly . I would suggest an iron in the room would be an advantage .
