The staff are extremely friendly and professional, especially Olivia, Sarah and a young lady serving in the lounge who was extremely knowledgeable about the malt whiskies on offer. I'm sorry I can't recall your name but you had some striking tattoos on your arm! The food was excellent in the fine dining restaurant, bar area and breakfast room.

Room 27 has a stunning view over the 18th green and the beautiful countryside beyond but unfortunately it is right above the bottle collection point so we were woken at 6.30 when the lorry arrived to take our empties! Perhaps a later collection time can be arranged?

We eloped to Perth and had our wedding breakfast & night at Murrayshall. From start to finish the whole staff were amazing. So attentive, professional and made our day special with lots of personal touches. The food was amazing, the drink is reasonably priced and the rooms completely exceeded our expectations. The hotel and grounds are stunning, like something out of a romantic period film, it’s very clean and location wise it’s only 10 mins from the centre of perth. Would 100% recommend, and we will most definitely be back. Can’t wait to see the future developments taking place soon around the hotel.

I booked a superior room at Murrayshall dog friendly hotel, no problem. Paid and got confirmation that then said only the suites were dog friendly. I called the hotel and was told I had to pay £40 extra plus £25 for our dog for one night! They did say that it said on booking.com about the dog friendly rooms, but only after scrolling past all the reviews and very difficult to find. They did bring the room down to £20 plus dog fee. Was initially annoyed as there was nothing to stop me booking any room, even when asking for dog friendly. It was also expensive for dogs £25 for the first night, which is fine as you get a goodie bag for your dog, but then £15 for every day after that. I'm not too sure why? But I have to say the hotel is superb, with wonderful views and walks and a great breakfast. They just need to be more clear about DF rooms.

Staff were so accommodating and lovely. We were upgraded and our suite was warm and comfortable with some nice touches (coffee machine, dressing gown and slippers). The bathroom decor in particular was stunning. The hotel itself is beautiful inside.

Breakfast was good. However, we did ask for certain things to be changed/swapped in our full Scottish breakfast and this did not happen. Poached egg tasted quite strongly of vinegar and was placed on top of the potato scone leaving it a bit soggy. A few tweaks and it would have been perfect. However, once again, the staff in the restaurant serving breakfast were lovely.

The hotel was in an attractive, characterful building with beautiful views of the countryside in one direction looking over the golf course. There was plentiful free parking. The hotel was well run. The bedroom was spacious with a good bathroom and walk-in shower. The evening meal was well-cooked with generous portions. The service was good (except a small bill was wrongly credited to us, but we noticed the error in time).

There was nothing to dislike except that it all seemed rather expensive.

We very much enjoyed our stay here, the staff were exceptional. We received massages which were amazing, the masseuse was very helpful and made the experience very comfortable and relaxing. Staff paid attention to detail, were very attentive, professional and helpful. The only downside would be attention to detail from the housekeeping staff. Some points of the room could be doing with more attention, extra cleaning and finishing. The location was beautiful and peaceful. When we come back it will definitely be more than one night.

Murryshall House Hotel, situated in Scone, Perthshire, is a charming country hotel offering a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel serves both lunch and dinner, and is open to non-residents as well. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, providing a pleasant stay. Breakfast is made to order, with options ranging from a full Scottish breakfast to eggs Benedict, all of which were delicious and fulfilling. The staff are attentive, ensuring a great experience throughout. If you enjoy hotels like Ballathie House, Murryshall will not disappoint.

All was good

The staff were generally friendly and helpful. The room was in a quiet area and the top floor which we requested so this is appreciated. Breakfast was good but not not outstanding.

Once again, air con is an issue. We understand, this is difficult in an older building but an electric fan does not cut it these days. Also, the hotel is embarking on the first phase of £30 million expansion so air con needs to be made available in the existing rooms.

The surroundings are beautiful. The Staff were great/helpful and smart at the reception. The room was fine - bathroom was exceptional. Evening meal was great.

The flower boxes at the entrance need to be tidied. The breakfast buffet needs to be more efficient - I never got scrambled eggs - waited and waited and had eaten the rest of my breakfast - staff coming out with only a little top up food at a time and there were loads of people to feed. Tea/Coffee machine also a long wait.

Beautiful quiet location, with a view to die for from both the restaurant and our room! We had our evening meal in the Cairns bar area and it was lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was buffet style. We had an excellent choice of delicious food, but unfortunately the cooked breakfast wasn't hot, which was disappointing. Upon reading the menu, we noted that a hot breakfast could be ordered from the waiter, but not from our waiter who directed us to the buffet!

Our room had an amazing view, but sadly it was disappointing. Chipped paint and marks on the wall was not what we expected. Our room was exceptionally warm and there was no fan available. Despite the windows being open, the room remained like a sauna most of the night, proving very difficult to sleep. When mentioned to the staff on our checkout, they were aware of this from other guests! A fan would've made such a difference. Cold breakfast buffet.
