Breakfast was fine but in a hotel like this I would expect to be served a breakfast rather than have to help myself from a buffet. The location couldn't be better, right in the centre of town and a 3 minute walk from the River Tay and North Inch. Room was small but I knew what I was booking and the room overlooked the car park which wasn't great but I have stayed here before and it was more than enough for my needs.

Logging on to the wifi was extremely difficult, so much so that I didn't use it in the end. I have three apple devices and couldn't get any of them to log on. Not really a problem because I wasn't there to work but I am certain I am not the only to have experienced this. I spent best part of an hour trying to do it and then ended up tethering from my phone

Great location, nice big room and bathroom. Great breakfast, lots of choice. Good options for dinner too if you wish in the bar/restaurant at the hotel, very reasonable prices and good quality. Staff all very friendly and helpful, especially the lady who oversaw the breakfast area. Would definitely recommend this hotel as very good value for money and perfect location. Only issue was the noise of the traffic, but after the first night we were moved to a quieter room away from the front of the hotel. The staff were very accommodating.

Just the noise from the traffic as we had a room at the front of the hotel, but it was much better once we moved to a different room further back. Great breakfast options...but perhaps some little pastries would be a nice addition!

Loveley old hotel. Single room rather small but bathroom was well appointed. Breakfast was very nice and good value.

As I had a long day I wanted to have an early night. There was a loud fan or air conditioning noise coming from outside and below the room. It may have been the kitchen? With the window open I could not get to sleep due to the noise. Shutting the window helped to reduce the noise but being a small room and in early summer I could have done with the ventilation. However, I woke up during the night as I had to ventilate the room and the noise had stopped. Take ear plugs if fan type noises bother you or go to bed late when the noise stops!

Perfect location in Perth. Lovely welcome and quick check in. Great to find a room at this price where there is great attention to detail e.g, appreciated a bin in the bedroom and another in the bathroom. Plenty of milk portions. Hooks on the doors. Full length mirror. Extractor fan in bathroom. Fan in wardrobe. The breakfast and lovely hardworking staff fantastic, couldn't fault it. We had a drink in the bar after the event we attended and it was a lovely bar with quite a few people in. Nice atmosphere, great barman and very enjoyable for our nightcap. Would go in for a drink even when not staying in hotel

The room was too hot for us, even with the small window open, though it was great to see a fan provided, rather than have to ask. We usually find hotel rooms too hot in Britain, so the fan was a nice touch. We appreciate, that had we paid more for a better room, we may have had a bigger window and more air.

The bed was large (bigger than king size) and comfortable. Extra pillows were provided. Coffee, tea and biscuits were available in the room. The bathroom had a good shower and bath. Everything we needed really. Staff were helpful and relaxed. The hotel pub and restaurant looked good so we would consider eating and having a drink there next time. If you like old tranditional hotels with creaky floors, then you'll like "the Sally".

The room didn't have a view, but we were staying for the convenience of the location, not the scenery. The room was a bit stuffy when we arrived but we could open a window so not a problem.

Great location, parking nearby (payment is extra at the car park), staff were lovely, dog friendly, comfy bed, hairdryer and toiletries included, kettle and loads of coffee/milk etc provided. Room was very clean, nice white sheets and towels etc. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is a bit dated, old fashioned furniture etc, but that's part of its charm. Great value for money so cannot complain that the decor is not to my taste....if you want bland, go to the Premier Inn I guess. Shower was a bit lacking in power but was perfectly functional, hot, and did the job!

The hotel is clean and has decent facilities. There is a lift, but even so, the hotel is a little like a warren. The downside is our conference room was on the first floor where the ladies' toilet was. The toilets for the gents on the ground. When we moved to the bar after dinner, the problem had reversed. Ground floor bar and the gents along the corridor, the ladies had to go upstairs.

The checkout process was a little chaotic. One of our members was trying to settle our dinner bill, and two ladies were looking to pay a deposit for a future event. One staff member was struggling, and the other had to help out. This meant I'd a long wait to just return my key, as I'd no charges on my room.

Really liked how clean it felt and the quality of the bathroom. Stayed in room 201. Have a look at the shower screen as there is no rubber to stop the water from leaking onto the floor and that will eventually cause damage to the beautiful bathroom you’ve obviously taken a lot of care over.

I have no complaint. It exceeded my expectation and there was a really nice Christmas buzz in the hotel with coach parties of holiday makers etc. it was really nice. Thank you!

Staff are really friendly. Good, basic hotel that is value for money and has decent food. Also they make the toast for you at breakfast. You don’t have to stand for ages over a slow moving machine that burns it.

The decor is the same as it has been on every occasion in the past 25 years I have been there. While strangely comforting, it could do with some modernisation. Having said that the en suite in my room had clearly been done fairly recently.

Great location - really central and easy to get to and from. The staff are really helpful.and friendly and we had contacted in advance and they sorted out our query for us arriving. Breakfast is buffet style and lots of healthy options, vegetarian too and many for the usual.suspects! Facilities are good and the receptipn is manned 24/7 which is great. Room was spacious enough for our needs, bed was super comfy. Extra pillows in the room if needed too. Shower is good - just remember the 'on' switch is outside! All in all, an excellent stay - and we've already booked again for next year.

Can't say there was anything - my original pillow was flat and hard but the alternates were fine.
