A slight issue with being served lunch one day but the staff member & manager on duty dealt with the matter very efficiently. I enjoyed the new restaurants.

I didn't like the smell of the new Arran Aromatics toiletries in the rooms. Apothecary appears to have a very manly, aftershave smell so not particularly suitable for females. The previous smell of Glenashdale was much preferred. My daughter & I were looking forward to playing badminton, like we had done the year before but we were disappointed that this is no longer available. There was still table tennis but I feel that the trench that runs around the outside of the area, for some reason, to be hazardous & unsafe.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and spacious. There is plenty going on so I can see the appeal for families. It’s a place to relax and enjoy facilities.

Check in is a time to welcome your guests. Staff were friendly but I had to ask which is the single and double room and even then the receptionist got it wrong. Told nothing about the hotel. Being the size it is I would appreciate a little info at least. Staff are friendly but we waited 30 minutes to get served and get a drink in the bar (it was even quiet)! Twice on going up to the bar it took a while for any of the many staff behind it to be aware I was waiting. Small thing but that is what I’d say, be aware when you have guests waiting. I don’t want to feel like I’m an inconvenience.

Beautiful Hotel in rural well kept surroundings Lovely place to relax with family kids show went down a treat. Lots of staff available in all areas and place is really kept very clean. Christmas decorations and trees are really lovely Room lovely comfortable and cosy Lots of toasty hot water which is a great for a building of this size and age Great winter Garden a young lad from New Zealand could not have helped more wish I got his name. The lady at leisure reception was fab too!

Restaurant and breakfast food . Visited Meikle before and standard seems to have slipped food served barely Luke warm was really disappointed 😞 front of house lady really needs to improve her customer demeanour a smile helps felt quite an unwelcome upon arrival for a booking made months in advance. The young Australian girl from brisbane who looked after our Table was really lovely though so that made up for first impressions Breakfast quality and range is good but everything not very warm Investment in new hot plates or similar would cure only issue we had with stay

Lovely ambiance throughout the Hydro staff were polite and helpful. The Victorian Spa was amazing and worth the money for 2hr session. Grounds were lovely and lots to see. First time visit but Would definitely return.

I enjoyed breakfast but it felt very chaotic, people moving in difference directions for different foods eg while waiting for cooked b/fast people moving in to get fruit/ yogurts etc. I think it would be more workable to have fruit etc at a separate counter.

The Duty Manager Karen is always such a darling. The Entertainment Team Roman and Nicole are incredibly kind. The food is exceptional. The waiting staff are lovely in the Meikle and beyond. How lovely to have mince pies available. Stockings hung on the doors at Christmas was wonderful. The hotel was beautifully decorated and cosy. The Winter Wonderland was just lovely, I would have liked more firepits though! Great to have the pool open so often.

The shower and bath could do with an extra good scrub round the edges. Some grout was visible.

The staff were superb. Facilities are great very family orientated .plenty of activities for kids food at hub was lovely..winter gardens for drinks was relaxing and good atmosphere..really enjoyed

The view from our room was obscured. You want to look out to the beautiful scenary instead all you can see is dome from reception. Room 143 if staying longer would have asked for a move .But only stayed one night. The room itself was lovely .but view spoiled it

Facilities were amazing and varied but my access was restricted by steps/stairs due to my mobility problems

I use a manual walking frame and was unable to access both interior and exterior parts of this beautiful hotel because of lots of steps and no ramps to allow both myself (and other guests with physical disabilities)to access certain areas of the hotel and the Brasserie restaurant because the stair lift was broken

Staff were so lovely and welcoming in every area of the hotel. From the maid service, reception, leisure and pool staff, restaurant staff, shop staff, activity staff, really great hospotality whereas the staff couldnt do enough for you. Facilities were amazing, catered for all ages of kids and adults alike. So many great activities, and beautiful location. We absolutley loved our stay and will 100% be back.

Meal for 2 was £108 in The Terrace, we only had two drinks each, a main course each and some bread. The food was okay, but had far better standard of meal for that cost in the past in the other resteraunts on site.

Lovely welcome at reception and particularly impressed that I was told I could use the hotel facilities for the rest of the following day - after check out at 11.00. Fantastic facilities - good dinner (the lamb was delicious!), superb breakfast. An excellent stay. I have a soft spot for the Hydro having stayed as a child, then a conference delegate, but it’s good to see that it continues to be an amazing family hotel

Disappointed when I rang the enquiries line (having not received a response to an e mail) about a dog friendly room to receive a very cold ‘Crieff Hydro is not dog friendly’ - end of story!

Was not told there was a charge to select from the breakfast Menu on table before we ordered. The Dinner in the Italian Restaurant was very disappointing, Very poor selection, better selection for Mains on the Kids Menu. When we told the lady on cash desk no one in the family enjoy their main, she just replied she will let the Chef know "He welcomes feed back" little consolation for our £380.00 bill...…will not be earing there again!!!
