Very well presented Great location for exploring the highlands

Be aware that a “good breakfast included” as stated on booking.com is only a continental breakfast and not a cooked breakfast which costs an additional £20 per person! Which they try to upsell you at check in It leaves a slightly dishonest feeling with you from the very start of your stay Would be much better if they clearly advised this at time of booking

Beautiful hotel in a great location . The Schiehallion suite was comfortable, clean ,quiet and very nicely decorated.Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. The staff was polite, extremely professional and very friendly. They all had gone the extra mile to make us feel welcomed. We would like to mention Shannon and Aftab at reception/bar.Thomas,Gordon,Eugene and Richard from the bar/breakfast/restaurant and Rahul (housekeeping) Also the chef Parvin is exceptionally good making our dining experience truly enjoyable. And last but not least we would like to mention the manager very considerate, making sure all the guests are well and happy. Dan and Christina Norfolk,UK

We don’t have any negative feedback

Beautifully decorated reception. Contemporary but still retaining original features. Good sized bedroom with extremely comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and happy to deal with any requests.

Restaurant was closed except for breakfast due to the chef having left without notice. There were limited alternatives without driving for 30 to 40 minutes to Pitlochry and it proved difficult to obtain a booking although the extremely helpful Shannon on reception came to our rescue and secured us a table at the other local hotel. A few maintenance issues need to be addressed eg loose tap in kitchen area, scuffed paintwork etc

Beautiful hotel, with lots of character and a calm and cosy environment to relax in. The staff were mostly attentive and very polite. Food was enjoyable. The beds are very comfortable and had a fantastic sleep. There was only two sets of cups/glasses but had three guests in the room, however when requested extra were brought to the room. The room itself was spotless, relaxing and modern.

When greeted, the communication was a little unclear (understandably it could have been due to a slight language barrier but a lovely member of staff) and told it was extra for a cooked breakfast which was not stated when booking. Service was a slow and asked for more water for the table but never received this. Food was good but very overpriced for what it was. Sticky toffee pudding did not have sticky toffee sauce which was disappointing.

I liked the location and the hotel was beautifully decorated. Staff were friendly.

Very poor dining for vegans. Nothing marked and staff had no idea what vegan even meant. This was disappointing as I'd booked specifically as they said catering for dietary needs was no problem. There was nothing marked as vegan and on enquiring the staff did not know what was suitable. Turns out through reading the descriptions of the dishes there was no starter, one main and no dessert option. Confirmed by the kitchen - surprising a chef wouldn't offer to knock out even a salad for a starter! For breakfast nothing was marked and again the staff could not help. Considering the plant based market they're missing a trick. Staff should also be trained on dietary issues as they had no idea what dishes contained dairy. Mine is a personal choice but for many dairy free is not.

From the moment we stepped out of our vehicle there was a sense of peace and calm. The room was amazing larger than normal and very quiet, we had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, a full Scottish Breakfast with lots of coffee, by far the best breakfast we had in Scotland.

On our was to Loch Rannoch we listened to our navigation and the road we took was very narrow and a little tense to say the least. when we left we took a different road which was much easier and quicker, we both laughed and said that would have been a much easier drive in.

This was a fantastic hotel with exceptional staff. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean with a super comfortable bed and wonderful bathroom. The food was beautiful and breakfasts were varied and plentiful a mix of continental and cooked, great start to the day. We stayed for a special occasion and I would especially like to thank Malik, Eugene, Gordon and the rest of the staff who were all softly spoken ,professional gentlemen and made our stay all the more special.

Nothing at all, it was a truly wonderful experience.

Freshly decorated & spotlessly clean room & bed very comfortable friendly & very helpful staff.

Our room was not available at 4pm as advertised due to staff issues and we were told to wait in the lounge/bar area but were not offered a complimentary tea/coffee which would have been welcome, we found the breakfast buffet for a 5 star hotel to be pretty poor & very limited and do not understand why a full Scottish breakfast is not offered as standard, the outdoor seating areas were in need of weeding and looked pretty unkept for a hotel claiming a 5 star rating

Cooked breakfasts cost extra but were generous and beautifully prepared. Dinners were amazing quality and flavour. The Deluxe Suite was so comfortable - we loved having a separate dining/lounge area. TV was a reasonable size for a hotel. The kettle and coffee maker was used every day. Pods, bottled water, and shortbread were refreshed daily. Bathroom was massive with a lovely shower and luxurious bath products. The bedroom area was lovely with quality bedding and linens, which were made up daily. The mattress was so comfortable, and combined with the quiet location we slept soundly every night. Staff were always available when needed, reception always staffed and lots of smiles. Also, the hotel was nice and warm which meant a lot as the weather got frostier. Don't know what home fragrance they used, but the whole place smelled gorgeous. Electric car chargers on site which was ideal for us.

The carpet in our suite had many stains, it was clean but just needed a serious refresh. The wifi could take a while to access. We had to input the code several times over the course of an hour to initially connect, but subsequently had no issues connecting after days out and about. There was a mix up with our meals at our final dinner, but staff did their best to get things sorted.

The deluxe suite was very nice, comfortable bed and nice coffee machine. Lounge area of hotel was comfortable.

Dinner was ok, obviously not alot of eating options in Loch Rannoch so priced on high side for what we got. Felt like staff were all quite new and there were a few spills, tray drops going on. Service at meal time was a bit slow and plates not cleared before next course etc and we had to keep asking for water to be refilled. For the price we would have liked a full hot breakfast, the continental was mediocre.
