meals we4re excellent without exception. Clearly a well organised kitchen with excellent chef and good system of staff training, Service was exceptional.

Despite notice about economising on laundry in my bathroom and hoping to be my three days without need for a change of bedding or towels, my room was serviced on third day without my request which I thought rather inconsistent and wasteful of hotel time and resources. I hope this will be taken seriously. The car parking gets a little dodgy when full but one can easily go down the street some 30 metres to a free car park.

The food was excellent. As was the breakfast. The Staff at all times were more than helpful. All in all it was a most pleasant stay for us both. I would recommend it to anyone seeking accomodation in the area.

For the age of the property it was kept in reasonable condition. However there were two issues which vexed me considerably, the first being there were no suitcase stands, this meant that two 80 year olds had to grovel around on the floor to access our our respective suitcases, not a good start to our break. The other is there were no shelves in the Bathroom on which to store our toiletries, it was the same in the shower resulting in having to place them on the shower tray, much to our annoyance.

Arrived early evening and although the hotel was busy parking was readily available, check in was easy and the room clean and well presented. A bed and stainless steel bowl along with a small bag of treats had been provided for my dog. Dinner was good and bar prices reasonable. Breakfast in the morning was also very good with great range to choose from.

Not a fan of the dining room set up with all the smaller tables for one or two guests lined up in the centre of the room gives you that "goldfish in a bowl" feeling however I appreciate that they will have to maximise the space available.

A very welcoming hotel with lovely traditional decor, in a wonderful location and very friendly, helpful staff. Dinner and breakfast were excellent with generous portions and a very good range of options. We had an annex room (twin) which was a bit small, but it was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. My father stayed in the hotel main building in a very nice, spacious ensuite room. As a base for exploring the lovely village of Killin and the area around Loch Tay, it was excellent and we would stay again.

The people staying in the cottage next door (not part of the hotel) sat and smoked right outside our window, which wasn't great but we were probably unlucky that that particular group were smokers. Not Killin Hotel's fault!

The room was comfortable and the shower was hot, which ticked the main boxes after a day on the bike. The bike storage was well set up, and reception was quick to meet us outside and show us to the store. Food was good quality, and served in reasonable time.

We had a dinner booking for a party of 8, we were asked to be in the bar waiting area 15 mins before the time. We arrived an hour before and asked if we could bring our reservation forward, the wait staff said they needed to check, and then never reappeared until our scheduled time. While they were around in nearby rooms, they seemed to be re-routing to avoid us. Just telling us we needed to wait would have been much less annoying.

Rooms felt clean, views were good through all windows on the third floor, and they have some delicious scotch whiskeys at the bar. Didn't eat at the hotel this time but I know from the previous experiences that the hotel food is also one of the better options in Killin.

I booked 3 double rooms and one of the rooms I got was definitely single (not matching the photos on Booking.com, single betside table), but we got it changed for the second night so all good. The heating didn't really work in one room so it was quite cold. The beds are on the small side (not bigger than a standard double) but comfy.

The Hotel is beautifully old and sits on the bank of the river Lockay with wonderful views. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful with lots of smiles. Inside there are amazing old photos of visitors, there has been a much loved Royal visitor, staff and scenery. My Daughter, dogs and myself stayed in an annexe room, it was very well fitted out and had everything we needed, there were doggy treats and beds left in the room too, very nice touch. We didn't see the Hotel bedrooms so can't comment but all the downstairs rooms are lovely and old also very cosy. Had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again.

We didn't find anything to dislike.

Set in a nice location. There are rooms situated inside the hotel and also rooms in an adjoining annex. The annex is nearby and the room is of a good size, with s large shower area. I like the fact the hotel has a shelter area for pedal cycles. I noticed several bikes were stored in a locked area at the hotel entrance , which would give reassurance to the cyclists that their bikes were stored safely.

They provide a continental breakfast which is lovely. A cooked breakfast is optional at an additional £15. I feel that is too much. A compromise would be an option for bacon rolls or poached egg and toast etc at alternative prices. It’s just a suggestion.

Hotel location in beautiful location. Bar Staff and Dinber/Breakfast staff all very good and friendly.

First impressions are always made at reception. On arrival no receptionist and no friendly staff at bar are either as advised by the note at reception. 15 minutes before anyone appeared. Receptionist who booked us in simply one of the most unwelcoming and disinterested employees I’ve ever had the displeasure to encounter. Room 12 quite small , 3/4 divan bed to make room look bigger with uncomfortable mattress. Check out and reception again .. didn’t give me a printout if my bill and proceeded to read it out loud item by item … just shocking and unprofessional

The staff were excellent, friendly and proffesional. The front of staff lady whe dealt with us was brilliant from start to finish very helpful and with a happy personalty. Food was of a high standard and the room was very good for the price. Overall an outstanding visit will always use when in the area.

We booked a twin but got a double which is hard as one of us gets very irritable juring the night would have been nice if at booking we were listened to. The hotel was cold especially in the restraunt and breakfast room. The heating in the room was not working but front of staff provided us with 2 heaters. So no problem during a very cold night. The food was very good except the cheese board the cheese did not have much of a taste but as stated would very much book again.
