The cottage was excellent value and spotlessly clean with everything we could need for our stay. The little homemade shortbreads were a kind touch and we really appreciated being able to wash some things after several days on the road. The breakfast was fantastic, with a variety of choices to suit all dietary requirements. I was travelling with two hungry norwegians and they were amazed at the high level of service and care that was taken. Thank you to the wonderful hosts who couldn't do more to accommodate us and made us feel so very welcome.
Nothing, everything was brilliant.

John is the perfect host. Whenever I think the Scottish people can’t surprise me more with their kindness. I am overwhelmed again. When we arrived our luggage was already in our room. There were amazing homemade cookies in the room to have with tea/hot chocolate /coffee. He offered me ice for my injured feet. The beds are very comfortable. The place is beautiful and feels warm and welcoming. Breakfast is freshly cooked by John that encourages you to try as many options as you want. There is a variety of vegan options and the jams are homemade as well. We loved it.

Another great find! A proper B&B in a handsome , this really is THE place to stay in Crianlarich - in John's family for generations, he has honed this welcoming stay seamlessly into somewhere we'll try and return to. From great advice in advance of arriving, to timely advice on where one can eat locally in evenings in the November twilight of the late tourist season, via walking tips with our dogs, his Pine Marten bird-table video (!) and a proper cooked breakfast, just don't bother looking elsewhere in Crianlarich!
There's nothing to not like! Crianlarich itself is quieter at this time of year (early November), so for supper, we drive 5 miles to Tyndrum to relish a fish & chips at superb The Real Food Café.

The place is run by John and his wife who live there. The atmosphere is very cosy and warm, John is an extremely helpful and polite host with a wonderful sense of humor (which can help a lot when you come back from the hills all wet, cold and tired :) And the breakfasts - they are a true feast - full Scottish with everything you like and most of it is homemade. John and his wife even make their own marmalade (my favorite was ginger and rhubarb - must try!) A wonderful place to stay, whether just passing through or walking in the neighbouring hills for a couple of days. Oh - and try homemade shortbread - they're in every room :)

This B&B is run by a lovely friendly couple. The room was clean, cozy and had everything we could wish for: three beds (one in a separate room), a kettle with snacks and tea. Home-made shortbreads were delicious! Wifi was working well. The parking is convenient — right next to the house. Special thanks for many USB charging ports everywhere from us with non-UK plugs and many gadgets. We also had a great view to the bird post out of our windows. Those who are not lucky to get this room can still see the birds from the entrance. The breakfast was delightful and plentiful.
The B&B itself is very good. I was sitting for a whole minute and could not remember anything to complain about. The only thing to mention is the local Rod & Reel pub. It's simplistic, the food was unpretentious and the bartender lady looked very tired and indifferent. One might be better off with a packaged supermarket food or driving somewhere else.

Thank you to John for a great stay! I had actually booked a camping pod in Tyndrum for the night but the campsite owner called me and was very upset that we might potentially arrive later than 8pm since we thought we would be driving from Edinburgh after work. I checked with John and he was world's apart, very helpful and friendly. For only £4 more than a camping pod (!) we got an ensuite bathroom and a fantastic full Scottish breakfast in the morning - best decision!

The accommodation is in a wonderful location. Unproblematic arrival, marked. The grounds of the house are perfectly landscaped, if you are lucky you will even see the local squirrels. The owner welcomed us very kindly, showed us around and explained everything. A room with a wonderful view, homemade cookies and working wifi. The property even has its own Instagram account, I recommend taking a look. The breakfast was absolutely perfect, you can choose in advance what you want to prepare for the morning and for how many hours. Homemade jams and lots of other goodies are also available in the breakfast room. This stay was really one of the best on Booking, I recommend it!

Very picturesque and lovely views all around. There was a hand built large bird table beside the window where you can watch many feathered visitors and red squirrels 🥰We were greeted by very welcoming host. It was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable short stay on our way to the outer Hebrides. It’s near to some great places to eat. Breakfast was outstanding and freshly prepared to perfection. I couldn’t decide which homemade jam to try so I bought a jar of each ☺️
There was nothing not to like.

If you’re looking for authentic warm Scottish hospitality, this is your place! John is the most welcoming and professional host with a keen eye for detail to ensure his guests are comfortable and cared for. Rooms are spic and span, cozy and comfortable beds, and a Scottish breakfast that is cooked to perfection. A picturesque location, it was well worth the short detour off the WHW to have a very restful night here!

The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! By far the best breakfast we've had at a B+B, very impressed. You placed a custom order (we were given many choices) the night before, chose a time and it was elegantly prepared for you in the morning. The room was small but clean, comfy and perfectly adequate with a Mountain View. The location was easy to access and charming.
it was a great place - room was teeny, but that was not a problem. Can't think of anything else!
