Everything - receptionist was lovely, a really warm welcome so first impressions do count! The room was lovely, decorated very nicely. Tea/coffee making facilities and toiletries provided.

Our room was facing the road and as it was hot we had to open the window, even with the fan. The road traffic noise and lights through the night/early hours did disrupt our sleep which is not ideal when walking the West Highland Way. Would not put us off staying again as everything else very good but would certainly ask for a room not facing the road.

We stayed at this lovely hotel during our West Highland Way hike. The location was really convenient. Check-in was really easy. The receptionist was warm and helpful. The room was spotless clean and really modern. The bed was really comfortable. In addition, we had a great view of the river from our room, and the backdoor was just steps away from the river bank, which makes it really easy to hop out and take pictures of the beautiful bridge. We also really enjoyed our dinner at the hotel. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff who all seemed very well trained and working brilliantly as a team, great room and bathroom, excellent menu and restaurant, good location, super breakfast. We would definitely like to return.

A bit noisy under our front-facing room after the bar closed. Could there be a request to guests to keep the noise down after 11pm? There are no staff onsite during the night for quite a busy hotel in a remote location.

The location has such a lovely view of the bridge and the river and obviously it is perfect for walkers. The room was separate to the hotel but had a small patio looking across the river which was lovely. I wish we could have stayed more than one night. The staff were all really professional, welcoming and helpful. The kippers for breakfast were delicious. Beds were comfy and the toiletries were excellent. I loved the little bottle of milk in the fridge. So much better than cartons or sachets. We loved staying here.

The breakfast was excellent with a friendly and helpful wait staff. I only wish we had more time for breakfast as we were catching the bus at 8:30 and breakfast didn't open until 8 due to it being off season which I understand. We did not eat dinner here. The room was small but comfy and fully equipped. The bathroom was nice with a lovely tub and bath products.

We were hoping to unwind with some tv that evening, but after taking quite some time to figure out the tv we found 1-2 channels with terrible offerings so that didn't work. There was a DVD player but no visible dvd's anywhere? obviously we did not go to the hotel to watch tv, but after a long day it would have been a nice offering.

Public areas of the hotel are well kept and offer a pleasant surrounding in which to relax. Nice bar/restaurant area with a elevated deck with great views. I didn't stay in the main hotel but the newish annex buildings to the rear of the main hotel these have everything you need and are very comfortable.

During my visit the temperatures were an unusually high 32deg dropping to 28deg at night. When the annexes were designed and built an opportunity was missed when air-conditioning wasn't specified.

Excellent location, extremely comfortable and clean. The food was phenomenal and the staff was great. There's even a lounge for when you arrive before check in. The annex was beautiful.

On initial arrival, a sign said go to the bar where the staff stated there was nowhere for us to place our things, and we'd have to wait. After standing in the lobby (due to the heavy rains), another staff member went but showcased the kuggage storage and the lounge. A sign to that effect would be helpful.

spectacular location, the old part of the house was beautifully turned into a great bar and dining area, very good interior design, the new part of the hotel was also greatly designed, and the room had a stunning view, the staff in the bar and the restaurant was very attentive and respectful , the food was extraordinary good

the doorhandles of the room door fell off, the shower doors couldn’t be operated, the toilet paper holder nearly fell off the walls as did the shower bar. and on too of that for a five star hotel, the following was missing and bot been given to us: no complimentary bottled water in the rooms, no bathrobes, no accessories in the bathroom, no slippers, no pillow menue, no screen on the windows in an area infested by midgies, so we couldn’t open the windows during night, etc… also the receptionist preferred to first finish her 3 minute chit chat with her personal friends prior to catering to the waiting arrivals to check in (which she was clearly seeing waiting)

Everything was great for comfort and all the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room had a lovely patio outlook and the rooms were spotless.

Everything was great although as vegans the options are very limited. We would like to see vegan butter alternatives and where main menus offers lovely cream sauces for nonvegans, vegans have no as delicious alternatives although we were happy to have vegan mayo sachets. And vegan UHT soya milk in rooms. They did make us a lovely vegan sandwich for lunch though. Food was really important to us because we are both vegan and walking the west highland way - 20 miles a day average.

The complete hotel complex is a well managed place to be. The rooms are modern and well designed. We had a wonderful view from the adjoining building, which is a few meters away from the main building. The breakfast was included, an awesome mix out of buffet and dishes from the menu. I went for the porridge, fresh fruits, and some toasts. In the evening we had dinner in the restaurant, which was really special. The meat to the point (tomahawk pork), the bbq jam on top of the meat, a delicious topping, the veggies crisp, and slightly salted. An experience to be repeated. Awesome. All good so far. Because of the bad weather, all our cloths and shoe requested a drying room which was not available
