Location. Very comfy beds. Very clean and very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of attentive staff at dinner and breakfast.

12.5% service charge on drinks and dinner. We checked the menu last week and it stated online that three courses cost £85 but by the time we stayed on the Saturday the cost had increased to £95 then a further 12.5% on top! We were disappointed at that. We paid £109 for the wine safari on the Sunday where we had copious amounts of very nice champagnes and wine not to mention delicious pies, scallops and then a three course meal and that was much better value than dinner Im afraid.

Stunning location, highly individual style both homely and luxurious. Staff were very professional and friendly, food was excellent. Much like visiting a comfortable friends farmhouse with superb food and all your needs catered for. The restaurant experience was especially memorable with any whim or diet catered for and a fantastic tasting menu, many dishes from the farm itself or very local. Probably the best stay we’ve ever experienced.

Can’t think of a thing, but those reading ‘hotel’ and expecting a smart luxurious palace of glass and steel are going to be disappointed!

A working farm, in a spectacular settting. The old farm house and outbuildings have been renovated superbly without losing their rustic charm. The restaurant was superb, the staff obliging and friendly. It deserves the all the accolades it has received. Breakfast was excellent. Fresh baked bread, seasonal fruit as well as the usual eggs, bacon, smoked salmon, etc. A walk in the surrounding countryside was recommended by the staff and is well worth the time. The loch-side sauna and the mirror box are a fun experience.

There was nothing not to like.

Wine safari was a great activity and the owner Tom is a true host! Restaurant and service were top-notch. Great focus on top quality food and drink. Huge variety of rooms. Lots of added value like donkeys, highland cows, dogs, horses, morning bread for sale, sauna and the loch in the area. Steam showers in the rooms were an unexpected luxury.

Drinks were on the expensive side, coffee machines in the room seemed to focus on espresso sizes with no option for long coffee.

This is a beautiful property, set in an amazing location. All of the staff were excellent, very attentive, helpful and friendly. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent, this really made the stay for us.

The room was actually very small and not particularly comfortable for spending any time in. There was quite a lot of noise from the hall, this actually woke me up when a fire door slammed in the hall at about 5:00am. This was a suprise given the room rate. The bar area is very small but cosy but if the place is at full capacity this could be over crowded.

This lovely hotel is located in a wonderful place, in the middle of nowhere, on the Loch Voil shore. The road that leads to Monachyle is stunning itself! We liked the most the salon on the ground floor perfect for relax just listening to music, reading or drinking something before dinner, and its excellent restaurant with views to the gardens and the mountains. The breakfast served at the restaurant was the best for us, it was delicious!

We stayed at a room in the main building of the farm, and it was a little bit dissapointed: smaller and different than it appears on the photographs, the bathroom was too narrow and uncomfortable for us. There were no phone signal, only internet connection and wifi. The restaurant only offers two menus for dinner, there's no option to order a la carte, and it is more expensive.

Beautiful location - stunning views and walks. Hotel is a mix of quaint old stone buildings combined with some modern standalone buildings. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly.

Our room was small - some might call it cosy, I expected more for the price. The hotel has a shabby chic style, however there were a few areas that were too shabby and could do with some love. Food was a little overpriced.

Nice rooms and facilities, very friendly and helpful staffs. Enjoy the time spent on the outside sofas with beautiful view and comfortable environment. Views are great from the bedroom window, day and night.Michelin style breakfast and they are free! My daughter also loves the dog, cat and donkeys on site. Btw, We were told there was an accident with the room we booked, upgrades were offered straightaway, satisfied with their considerate service.

We didn’t find a nice hiking trail close to the hotel, except the lakeside walk.Maybe we didn’t try harder since we only stay for a night.

This place is amazing. Elegant, design-y, delish, a little cheeky, it's everything we wanted - in the most stunning setting!

If I had to pick a bone, I'd say they under-sold their breakfast - it was spectacular!!

Wonderful hotel in idyllic location. Very comfortable, well-furnished room situated above original stables. Lots of activities and wildlife onsite, with plenty of nature just on the doorstep. Tasting menu dinner was first class and breakfast was very good too, with a view to die for.

The heavy rain :-)
