The location is absolutely stunning, so quiet and peaceful! The staff were so friendly, welcoming helpful and always with a smile. My husband is allergic to feathers and the accommodated us and changed the linens within 5 minutes of raising the issue. The bed was the best bed we have slept in in a long time, so comfortable! We stayed 3 nights and those were some of the best nights of sleep we have had in a very long time! The hotel communal areas of the hotel were also great, granted if you really look close in so areas it may need some touching up but nothing major at all, it is clean, tidy, well decorated and maintained. I am allergic to dust and a lot of other crap and did not have any reactions. The food was excellent but a bit on the high end, although the portions were generous. The spa facilities were also good. Brandon was very welcoming and helpful. We got a massage, mine by Caroline who was excellent, so relaxing.

Honestly, I have nothing negative to say. We are going to return.

The road leading to the hotel is like driving through a disney movie or another world, I was literally speechless looking at the view. I got to the hotel and that too was beautiful, the rooms are very nice for the price point, the evening meal was lovely and great value for money, but the view out of the dining room over the lock was priceless, I would of happily paid double or triple the price. they have a spa and leisure facilities including a pool and gym which is free to access. Book there just for the view.

My only dissapointment is that it was listed that it had EV charging on booking.com a main reason for booking there, however there wasnt any, I was told by reception that there was a charger in town, luckily I didnt need it.

The scenery is amazing. If you would like to have a quiet time in couple or in family, I definitely recommend. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean.

Sauna not really hot but the steam room is a most. It would be better if room slippers and bathrobes could already be in the room because to go to the swimming pool my husband had to give me his slippers as I didn’t bring mine and was walking barefoot from room to spa which was not great but we ask for them after finishing at the spa and were given them (slippers not bathrobes). The last thing is the food really too expensive for what you get.

Reception personnel were attentive, helpful and welcoming thank you. Amazing view from morning to night. Clean, comfortable bed, room was very spacious. Loved the pool and Spa facilities. Loved Loch Ard... delicious cooked breakfasts...the beautifully cured lawn and garden...so refreshing and soothing.

Would have liked one or two of the restaurant staff to be more gentle and service minded... especially in such beautiful gentle majestic surroundings. Would have liked direct access from the hotel to the Loch...for a swim.

Nice spacious room, plenty big enough for a couple, let alone a solo traveller. Location was nice and peaceful. Gym was ok, little basic but could get a decent enough workout to substitute. Would probably return to the hotel if / when I come back to this area.

Whilst the breakfast was nice, the cooked portions were a little small particularly for the price per night. One of the waiters at breakfast seemed a little...shy....choosing to walk away and hide somewhere, rather than acknowledge me, when he saw me approach the dining area.

Beautiful location beside Loch Ard. Lots of parking spaces. Very well maintained gardens surrounding the hotel. Some people complain about the old decoration. I liked the classic charm of wood panels, big armchairs etc.. makes a change from plastic and harsh lights. Staff were very helpful and polite. Any questions were replied to efficiently with a smile. Our room had a view looking over the gardens to the loch. Bottled water, coffee capsules and shortbread replaced every morning.

Not that I didn't like it but observed that some of the bar/restaurant staff were a little inexperienced. For us, it wasn't a problem, but I heard others complaining about the time it took to be served.

beautiful estate in an amazing setting!

breakfast was a little overpriced, we paid extra for breakfast to be included but a lot of the many had an extra surcharge on it. waiters also got our order wrong and forgot items. we ordered 2 sausage and bacon rolls, but we only got one (which was incorrect). we mentioned the missing roll to the waiter, also adding that it had been the wrong and the waiter returned with the same mistaken roll again.

The hotel was clean and well located for exploring Aberfoyle. There was a nice lounge to sit in and the grounds were lovely to walk around. Our room was a good size with chairs as well as a bed. The pool and sauna facilities were clean.

We were stayed during the school holidays which may have meant the pool was busier than usual. However, there were only 2 hours of adult-only swimming and no lanes out with those times so during the day, we couldn't actually swim. It would be good if adult-only swimming times were longer, such as 8am - 10am and 6pm - 8pm to allow people to swim in the pool.
