Amazing location, I was lucky to get great weather the 2 days I was there. The staff were professional and friendly. The receptionist (apologies I can not remember her name - but she is from my home town of Glenrothes) was amazing, nothing was too much trouble for her. I enjoyed 2 spa treatments during my stay, and they were bliss. All my meals were delicious.

Did not feel that the afternoon tea was value for money. Scones appeared to be shop bought, and mini cakes were bland. The sandwiches were delicious with good fillings.

Room was comfortable, coffee, tea, biscuits, still and carbonated water were complimentary. Some staff were amazing, went the extra mile to be welcoming; the blonde lady morning reception staff, the very tall waiting staff at breakfast was very helpful even during busy times, also Madga was very friendly and helpful, the waiter on Monday evening and the waitress on Tuesday evening certainly made a solo traveller feel welcome. Ally at the Spa, and the treatment I had was fabulous. The food was delicious.

Some waiting staff were unwelcoming, I understand people are busy, but a smile and eye contact goes along way. Some of your staff are an absolute asset to your hotel, and other staff may learn from their great example. On occasion the music in the lounge area was a bit loud and not conducive to relaxing, especially one particular morning. However, most of the time the music was non offensive and relaxing, making it a pleasure to sit in the lovely area and watch the world go by.

The small window in bedroom restriction of view. Duvet was too small for the bed and cover it was in felt like a summer duvet for end of sept which left me feeling a little cold on the 3rd night. First morning no decaf coffee available at breakfast and none in the rooms. Breakfast was ok the bacon folded over during the cooking process and was under cooked in places. There were no fried eggs over 3 night stay just scrambled. The extra breakfast menu was expensive. Fan needed cleaned in bathroom.

Arriving at the hotel felt very welcoming. The room was very comfortable with a warm interior design, and beautiful - as well as funny - art. The view was of course stunning. The bar was great with nice and fresh food, as well was the breakfast. Very great atmosphere, with nice surroundings... Besides the beautiful Loch there's a nice path which runs up the hill.

Probably coincidental, but someone was able to burn her toast in the breakfast room. 🙃 The bathroom door had an old-fashioned lock which seemed to stay locked, and which would only unlock with a trick. The repetition of the same paintings in the hallway.

The location is beautiful. Stunning views of the Loch and mountains. We loved the room. The decor and artwork felt contemporary but still in a traditional Scottish sense. Very clean, powerful shower. Bottled water in the room. The bed was very comfortable too.

If I'm being picky, the fact the bar restaurant was fully booked (well until 9 pm) when we arrived at 2pm. There were only 2 of us and a toddler. I feel more effort should have been made to accommodate us for dinner. We were offered a table in the A La Carte restaurant, but with a young toddler, we only wanted a straight forward bar meal and we were told the children's food couldn't be ordered from the bar and brought to us in the other restaurant. We ended up going to another local hotel along the road for dinner. On the second night, we did get our dinner in the restaurant, and we both loved the food. The staff, although they all aways seemed busy, were helpful and attentive.

The staff were all really friendly and helpful. I would particularly like to highlight Hannah on the front desk who was absolutely brilliant at her job and really lovely to talk with about what there is to do is in the nearby area. The room was fantastic, comfortable, large and with everything we needed including towels for the swimming pool and biscuits for with our coffee! Really glad we opted for a loch view room.

We found it a bit strange that all the pictures in the corridor on our floor were either one picture or another - mass purchasing - it isn't a dislike exactly but it felt a bit strange!

No complaints! The hotel is beautifully located on the loch, with amazing views. The interior was well designed with a traditional scottish feel mixed with tasteful contemporary hints. The hotel has everything you could want, with 2 restaurants serving a variety of high quality food, comfortable common areas and a relaxing leisure centre. There is also bike and water sports equipment rental available to explore the surrounding area. The staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming and very accommodating to guests wants and needs. Can’t recommend this hotel enough for an escape from reality, we will definitely be back!

Breakfast was fine lovely bright room and good range of times . Lovely restaurant room for Christmas lunch and cosy and lovely decorations in the hotel. Great pool and sauna . Lovely double bedroom overlooking the loch - spacious and very comfortable.

Christmas Turkey lunch and trifle good but the canopes were awful and arrived the same time as the starter . Brownie bar evening meal just ok - scallops and black pudding a bit greasy . I asked reception what time the breakfast was for my last day twice - 8 - 11 first answer I checked again in the morning on my way to the spa pool as check out was at 11 - should be 8-11 second answer but very vague not definite . I arrived at 10.15 but then a waiter rushed me saying breakfast finished at 10.30 - not great!

The room was lovely! The staff particularly on reception were brilliant and couldn’t be more helpful. The hotel grounds were beautiful and I had a great experience in the spa with treatments. It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and the staff put petals on our bed and a congratulations chocolate plate which was such a lovely surprise and a lovely thought. We really appreciated this.

The food in the wild brownie bar was not great for the price. And they charged for tap water! My husband ordered steak which they got wrong twice but they did comp a dessert for the hassle. I feel they should have compensated us for the steak meal itself as it was £30.00 and the staff agreed the steak was raw/blue in the middle and my husband couldn’t eat it. It was only because he was so hungry (because at this point two dinners have now came out wrong) that he ate some of the chips and the surrounding tiny cooked bits of the steak. But we did show the staff and they comped a dessert instead of the meal. I felt a little let down by this as he paid for a meal he basically never received.

The setting is beautiful and remote but we knew that. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The rooms were really comfortable and very clean. The breakfast and dinner were very good. The pool facilities are lovely and the spa area looked very nice.

The hotel on the whole was not very warm but it was freezing outside. Our 5 year old granddaughter was frightened by a dog in the lounge area that barked aggressively and jumped up as she and her mum passed their table and it continued to do this when anyone passed their table. The dog owners seemed oblivious to their dog’s behaviour.
