Attractive Property in a convenient location. Cats were very sweet welcoming us when we arrived.

We stayed in the basement room with the separate bathroom. Whilst it was a nice room, parts of it were a bit tired and dirty, it could benefit from freshening up paint wise. We did not get any sleep as there was constant noise until the early hours of the morning from above. So if you need a good sleep it’s probably not the best place to stay, given it was around £180 for one night mid week.

I love staying here when I'm in London. It's got a lovely 'home away from home' vibe, it's super-safe (which is especially good for solo travel), has a tranquil front garden and lots of thoughtful extras in the rooms and bathrooms.

What an amazing stay! The house perfectly located, next to a bus stop that gets you to the very center of the city in 20 minutes or so. The neighbourhood felt very safe and quiet, while being close enough to busy streets to get anything you need during the stay. The garden was also lovely, and perfect for a quiet time in the evening. Everything was incredibly clean, with many touches like coffee, slippers or toothbrushes being available. The shared bathroom was also kept clean, and very close to the bedroom. Bed was super comfortable, with loads of pillows and additional blankets. Oli was a great host, and Alexis even upgraded my room for part of my stay. Don't hesitate to come here any time you're in London! (Also, the cats are lovely. Saw them every single day during my stay!)

Nothing. One of the best stays I've had.

Have stayed in Room 8 before and it's great - right beside the bathroom and with the wee patio out the back. The house was even quieter than it normally is - for a property beside a busy road near the centre of Camden, it's as quiet as a country cottage! Loved the fresh flowers and carafe of water in the room - it's homely touches like that that make CVH such a great place to stay. The pricing remains exceptional. Already looking forward to my next visit in March!

Couldn't get the WiFi to work for me - this wasn't an issue, was only in the room to sleep! Didn't see any of the resident cats this time, either - again, not an issue!

*review from Sue & Jim* The room was large, airy and very clean with a comfortable bed & 2 pillows each (oh the simple things!) Plenty of toiletries in the bathroom (both a bath and a shower) and enough towels which were also soft and clean. Selection of teas and coffee provided also, and a corkscrew so bring your bottle 😁 Loved the little private courtyard area which were accessed through sliding double doors, ideal in the summer. Although the house is on a main road, it's surprising very quite. Helped no doubt by the tall walled garden at the front. Our room was at the back of the house and behind our courtyard was a very well established private green area which, as well as keeping noise out at the back, meant we weren't overlooked at all. We slept with the double doors open and it was so peaceful. We used the tube (10min walk) and overground (5 min walk) and there is a bus stop right outside the property. Within walking distance of Camden Market, the vibrant town and lockside & with easy access to other areas of London this place is ideal. For those getting ready for an evening out... there are lights everywhere along with a full mirror. We loved the visits from the resident cats, but for those worried, they kept their distance. Communication with the team about arrival was clear and concise which we received as advised a couple if days before our arrival.

Personally we would have liked more breakfast tea (only 3 bags provided) but there were other tea and coffee options available.

Very characterful. 'James' was excellent about communicating relevant information about keys and so on. It could have been very disconcerting otherwise with it not being a hotel..which is what I was actually looking for on Booking.com! The price was brilliant. The place itself was absolutely wonderful. So comfortable and thoughtful gestures, especially lovely bottled water. We had a large en-suite and it was really lovely. Single downside was distance from tube station (I had heavy bags to carry and am not au fait with buses BUT there IS a bus stop right outside the property and the tube is walking distance without heavy lifting involved...so these aren't complaints, just slightly inconvenient for us BUT everything else made it worthwhile.)

The place is beautiful and idyllic, and was very clean, cosy, lovely decor. Felt a very peaceful space. We were there for a conference and my husband was managing chemotherapy - the hosts were extremely understanding and supportive of our needs and went above and beyond. The room was such a much needed relaxing little haven, the bed very comfy. The value for money was also great, I couldn't believe how good it was. Lovely bathroom and good shower. The garden around the building is also really pretty and means the room is tucked away from the main road. Very easy and secure access and the host was available and responsive via phone or What's App. We will definitely stay there again.

Oli the host was very friendly and helpful. He povided access to an iron and ironing board when I needed one and gave me very helpful advice. Both room and facilities were very clean and comfortable. Camden Town is walking distance to the accommodation with a regular market and London Underground station. A bus service is also directly outside the property. Highly recommended, especially for single travellers. The hosts two cats were also very friendly and came to check up on me or probably to just get a scratch behind the ears.

Gorgeous room - there were loads of lovely little touches like hot water bottles and tasty biscuits! I loved the cat who welcomed me on the top landing! Very sweet and friendly. The room was cosy and I l enjoyed setting up the table and chairs in the window so I could look out over the view in the evenings. Wifi was fast and very reliable, and it made for a cosy couple of nights - a real retreat from the busy city below. I had the largest room with the en suite that covered the top floor and I fully recommend this option for ease and comfort.

I would have loved a cosy chair to sit in to read in the evening as the wooden folding seats aren't great after a while. I think there's certainly room for a little futon or couple of chairs in the living space.

The location is excellent, and easy to commute to and from. The house is super nice, with cats being an excellent addition that makes you feel at home :) Lovely lightning! I loved the ease of checking in, simple instructions, and no fuss. I like that the furnishing is modest yet functional, I also like that the old elements of the house are there, kept in good shape: windows, staircase etc. The outside of the house - a garden in front and back - is a charming touch and makes a great first impression. The heaters work :) - you can keep the room as warm as you feel like :) The shared bathroom is lovely, with a back garden view. It was just vis-à-vis my room, so did not even feel "shared". All facilities are there, including a brand-new, functional shower.

I felt ok, and it did not bother me much, but the noise from the street prevented me from sleeping with a window open. That is not something to complain about - the house is located in the city - Camden district :)
