Loved the location! It was just around the corner from the tube, which was perfect for getting around London. There is a coffee shop nearby as well as plenty of places to eat. Several nice pubs within walking distance as well. A lot of the older buildings in the area did not have air conditioning, but our room at the Hurdwick did so we were very comfortable. There was alway coffee or drinks in the common room as well as a large screen tv. Pia went out of her way to accommodate our early arrival, and we were able to store our suitcases, and explore London until our room was ready.

The Hurdwick is in an older building with no elevator and the stairs are very narrow, which is true for a lot of the hotels downtown, but we knew that when we booked the room so it did not bother us.

The location is ideal, right outside a tube station and only a short walk to Camden market, there are a lot of pubs and restaurants nearby. The room had everything we needed but bear in mind it is small with no where to store luggage, we only had small backpacks so this wasn’t too much of an issue. The host was good at communicating how to enter the property and felt they would be helpful if we did have any issues.

The room needs updating, the carpet has stains and walls could do with a lick of paint in areas. The shower wasn’t completely clean, it had a few hairs left from previous guests - everywhere else was clean including bedding, towels.

I feel that I need to leave a review as I have seen many negative reviews. I almost cancelled my stay the morning of travel due to some of the comments however I am so glad that I didn't as the Hurdwick was a brilliant place to stay. I stayed in room 11 which was clean, comfortable and well equipped with drinks making facilities. The room was clean and the bathroom was great with a good sized shower. There are a good amount of stairs to negotiate to get to rooms 11, 12 and 13 but that was ok with me so all good can't complain especially with the price and location.

Super comfy bed, well functioning AC, nice hot shower, amazing placement for access to the tube and buses. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, and a nice walk to Camden market. Staff was helpful, although a little slow in their communication replies.

The room wasn't cleaned properly when we checked in, found black hairs on the tiles in the bathroom, and a used contact lens on the floor.. The fridge in the common area could really use an upgrade to a bigger one.

The location was brilliant and the staff member on shift was very helpful. The room was nice enough. Great communication before I got to the property. Excellent value for money.

I stayed in room 4 which was the first room when you entered the property. I'm not bothered by noise but it was quite loud with being by the front door and road. If noise bothers you I would ask to be kept away from this room. The only negative in terms of cleanliness was the vent in the bathroom. That could have done with being cleaned. Overall though very happy with it

Good location, a few mins walk to lots of eateries and some good pubs. Bus stop outside and Northern Line tube station next door. Everything worked in the room, plus shower was very good. Comfy bed. Tea and coffee facilities, towels and free toiletries. Very good aircon!

The only thing we didn't like was the size of the room. It was fine for a few nights but a bit small for a longer stay. One of our pillows was very lumpy (Room 9) so that needs replacing!

The room we were given was so nice, clean and bright with direct sun light. Location was incredible, literally right next to Mornington Cresent Station, Koko the club, and many amazing restaurants.

The stairs up to our room were quite messy and looked old and needed redoing, there were rubber gloves and sponges randomly placed on the stairs and weren't moved for 2 entire days, makes me wonder how often cleaning staff are/how thorough they are? Our room itself was so nice this was very strange. There is also no lift.

Good location right next to Mornington Crescent Tube Station (one stop from Camden Town). Easy 10 minutes walk from Camden Town. Large room, very spacious. Clean and tidy room, spotless bathrooms. The lounge area was well stocked for tea drinkers and there was an outside area useful for smokers. Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly. Very quiet hotel inside, the usual Town noise you would expect from outside.

Although clean, the room was a bit tired looking. The chair is very stained (we also used the chair bed). The lights flickered every time a tube train went through, we ended up turning the main lights off and just used the small table lamp but this also flickered. Instructions would be useful for the safe.

Location was excellent. Right next to Mornington Creacent Tube Station. Plenty of local facilities, shops, restaurants and bars. Just ten minute walk from Camden Market. Having read earlier reviews we expected street noise so took ear plugs with us. However, as we were on the third floor we barely heard any noise and didn’t need them. Towels were changed during our stay. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There is a room on the ground floor where hot drinks could be made to be taken to the room. This wouldn’t have been an issue for us, having no kettle in the actual room, but the fact that there was no coffee whatsoever in the drinks room downstairs seemed very strange! About half a dozen different teas to choose from but no coffee at all? Twice I made a tea for myself but my husband had to go out to the nearby costa to buy coffee which was £4 a cup.

The location is spot on, right next to Mornington Crescent tube station, so very easy to get about. It’s really close to all the activity of Camden which is great. Easy check in and out and friendly cleaning staff who helped us find our room as it had changed. The room was a good size for London and we had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and we slept well. They even rang me to ask our check in time and if we might prefer a quieter room. Would definitely stay here again.

We knew from other reviews that there would be noise from the street as it’s in a busy area. This wasn’t a problem for us as we planned ahead and brought ear plugs. With the convenience of the location, some noise is to be expected and overall we had a lovely stay.
