The location was excellent for the hospital. The room was very clean The staff were very polite & nothing was trouble for them The room was light & airy even though there was no window

The TV was in a awkward position, as when you came out of the bathroom you knocked it as it over hang into the doorway. Could have done with some more milk for drinks The mattress could have done with turning Being blind the touch control pad for the temperature & lights, were a little tricky. It could have done with some tactile buttons.

The hotel is located close to Old Street Station, just a couple of minutes' walk away. There are many bars, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby. The staff are nice and professional. I arrived earlier than the check-in time, and the staff securely stored my luggage so I could explore the city as planned. The staff also informed me about a special event at the hotel that all guests could join, though I didn’t have time to attend. I stayed there for six days, and on some nights, I returned after 11:00 PM due to attending concerts and shows. The streets were still lively, and I felt quite safe.

I expected something less satisfying based on the online reviews, but remember, you get what you pay for. Also, the staff informed me in advance about some aspects, such as the room being cleaned every other day. It would be great if the hotel listed what each room type offers so guests can prepare accordingly.

The policy of only making up rooms every second day is a real deterrent against future visits to the Z chain. Rooms as tiny as these need to be tidied and refreshed daily

The location is fantastic! I enjoyed my stay. The room was teeny tiny, but it was clean and had everything I could want in a basic hotel room. Bed was comfy, TV was big and lots of local channels (but no smart TV/streamer access). Shower was great. Not a lot of storage room and basically no room to move or sit except while on the bed but if you plan to be out and about most of the time, this is a great option. The happy hour with wine and cheese was also a really nice touch!!! Didn’t have the breakfast or otherwise eat at the cafe downstairs or use any other amenities so can’t comment on that.

Not many negatives. The only main one is the size of the room but I knew that going in. Not enough to classify as a big downside in my opinion.

The bed was the best one I slept in my entire hotel life! It was sooo nice. The location was great, close to Aldi, M&S, shops and underground station Old Street. The room had all I needed. The windows were huge and stunning. I was on my own and never felt alone. I asked specifically for a room with windows, because there are rooms w/o and I like my room a lot. I can totally recommend this hotel. I didn't book breakfast for logistical reasons so don't know about that

The check-in was a little awkward but I guess that's because I asked if I could get into the room earlier and that would have been a bonus so all good. The double windows were a little run down and moist in between but I feel that everything was still taken care of and they make sure the customer doesn't have any disadvantages. Funnily enough there wasn't a closable wardrobe but plenty of hanger to hang on the wall and it worked for me

This hotel was beyond my expectation, the receptionist that greeted us was friendly and efficient. We were given room keys and had a mini explanation of the premises and how to access the WiFi. We were treated to complimentary cheese and wine as part of our stay. We had this in the restaurant in the evening, a lovely value add. Good quality coffee in the rooms and a selection of teas. The hotel itself is positioned close to the train station and bus links. There were ample restaurants a couple of minutes away and even a grocery store. I would stay again and I think it is quite important to say that although the bunk bed situation was new to me, it was not unpleasant. There were plenty of towels provided for our room and no shortage of complimentary shower gel and soap. The Aircon and heating were very easy to use. We thank you for a lovely stay. Staff that we encountered were all friendly, pleasant and well spoken. A winning team all round.

I would not select a bunk bed type room scenario again. I think for adults and child sharing; a space to sit in the room that is not on the bed in the pod whilst having tea would have been amazing.

Genuinely - Great location for the Barbican. Staff were very nice and helpful - believe me, that is not a common thing. Price for Central London absolutely marvelous. I loved the history of the building, seriously, I love that kind of thing. Really quiet at night. Clean - ample hot drink sachets - these things are important. I just wished the Barbican Center was as accommodating to paying guests, because my evening out there was a disaster, and they seem like they do not wish to engage me with my issue.

Hotel was Tip Top. Barbican turned out to be terrible. I saw Spiritualized. At least I think it was them? I'm not 100% sure, as the lead singer had his back to me for the entire performance.

amazing location, bed was very comfortable, room was really clean and the shower pressure was lovely! staff were very welcoming and really professional. toiletries were really nice and lovely options for hot drinks in the morning.

the bathroom is right next to the bed and separated by a frosted glass cubicle/wall, so just ensure you’re super comfortable with the person you’re staying with, or pay for a bigger room. the toilet had quite a weak flush, and actually ended up flooding in the morning. the staff were very professional and said the maintenance man would sort it out when they got in at 10am. the staff were very apologetic of the issue, and super professional about it. it was just unfortunate it happened in our room—if you stay, just check the toilet flushes okay as soon as you check in, and if not report it as soon as possible so it can get sorted. not the staff fault at all, just a flag for future guests.

The room was clean and had all the basic amenities you'd expect. Great location - the City and Farringdon not far away. Good room and modern looking. Nothing overly fancy, but good value for money. Would stay again.

I am obsessively clean and hate any blemishes or tiny hairs that manage to get into new hotel bedding. I did find a bit of was fluff and tiny hairs which I did not like, though the bedding, room and shower were otherwise clean. I stayed on the lower ground floor - room 005. I didn't realise until I got into the room that you can hear the tube rumbling above. It wasn't terribly loud or loud enough to disturb my sleep (I'm a light sleeper), but it may bother others. I'd recommend bringing ear plugs for light sleepers.
