I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Courthouse Hotel for the second time after six years, and while my experience was mostly enjoyable, it was Vishal, a remarkable staff member, who truly made my stay unforgettable. Upon arrival, I encountered a minor issue with the shower drainage in my room. I attempted to get it sorted the previous night, but it remained unresolved. However, when I reached out to Vishal, he sprang into action without hesitation. Not only did he address the issue promptly, but he also went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and satisfied. His willingness to step out of his comfort zone and lend a helping hand was genuinely commendable. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated to their guests, and Vishal is indeed a gem in the Courthouse Hotel’s team. While my overall experience was positive, I must mention that the food was somewhat disappointing compared to the delightful menu I remembered from my last visit. I hope the hotel considers revamping the dining options to match the high standards set by their exceptional staff. Nonetheless, it was Vishal’s outstanding service that will bring me back to the Courthouse Hotel. His attentiveness and genuine care for guests are qualities that should be celebrated. Thank you, Vishal, for making my stay memorable! I look forward to returning, hoping to see some improvements in the menu alongside the excellent service.

Unique and relaxing stay – highly recommend! I stayed at the Courthouse Hotel in Hackney over the weekend and was thoroughly impressed. The staff were friendly and professional, especially Delvin at the reception, who helped us check in and greeted us with a smile. the facilities were excellent, and our room was spotless. The hotel is modern but still retains original features from the old courthouse, which gave it so much character. The Jailhouse Bar downstairs was a real highlight – stylish, full of quirky artwork, and you can even enjoy a drink inside the old cells! I loved the spa and pool, and we were amazed by how big the place was, with a cinema and bowling alley too. The gym was ideal, with new TechnoGym equipment. The location is fantastic, and the combination of history, luxury, and smart design makes it a place I’ll definitely stay again! 9/10

Very easy to find lovely location love all the detail inside the hotel beautifully done feature as you walk in with the soldier is absolutely amazing Staff absolutely lovely very smiley polite it was my first day had a free upgrade, which was beautiful. The room was amazing as well. Could use the swimming pool spa area beautiful restaurant downstairs definitely amazing.

Only things I didn’t like was as a five star hotel there was a few things in the room which need to be addressed and fixed. I would say that the bed base was a bit worn on the edges and the toilet roll holder. You could see what they tried to fix it back on the wall, but it look really nice for a five star and also the little ledge that you can put things on in the bathroom under the mirror was like bending it could come off at any point. And a big stain on the seating area of either window on the wall I would still say its a five star hotel all the way just a few little things need to be adjusted detail is everything I think personally.

The location is great, the staff are really polite and efficient. The art on the hotel walls is funky and the building is beautifully decorated throughout, really modern.

The room service after 10.30pm is pretty poor, I looked online and it said 24 hr room service, this is pasted from online, Convenience Facilities at Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch With 24-hour room service, you can indulge in delicious meals and refreshing beverages at any time of the day or night, ensuring that your cravings are always satisfied. When I phoned room service all they could offer was a cold chicken wrap, it did come with popcorn and crisps which was different. The rooms looked clean and well presented but the partner run her fingers over the bits out of eye view and it wasn’t great, such a historical and beautiful hotel deserves better with attention to detail.

The team onsite went over & above. Very clean hotel & rooms exceptional, comfy bed, lush shower. Speed at check out fast. Rooftop bar was perfect , staff went over & above . Gorgeous view & comfy seating

Delays in check in , however the team did support us by offering complimentary drink & upgrade. Breakfast a little lacked lustre, very dried on Monday morning. Poor taking pf credit info £100 deposit not being paid back for 3to5 days, not made clear at arrival.

I want to thank the staff at Courthouse for their kindness. We were at the hotel celebrating our 3 year anniversary, a note I added when booking the hotel and was not expecting anything, not only did they upgrade our room but they left us a slice of lovely chocolate orange cake which went down a treat. We had a drink on the rooftop terrace and I got a mango frozen daiquiri and it was delicious! Really smooth and tasty. We had a swim in the indoor pool and used the sauna and steam room which was small but nice. The staff were very friendly, helping us find our way

The pool was a little dirty, needed a good scrub and the breakfast was a little cold and limited. And I got some red leister cheese that was 3 days past it’s best before date

This property was in the perfect location, surrounded by great bars, restaurants, and popular hotspots. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and positive energy. Check-in was quick and seamless, with no time wasted—and to our surprise, we were even treated to a complimentary room upgrade, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I would absolutely recommend this hotel time and time again. A huge thank you to the staff—you play a big role in making every guest’s experience exceptional!

It’s absolutely beautiful. I’ve been here before. Very comfortable. Staff are excellent very kind friendly help as much as they can put themselves are absolutely lovely done extras in the bedroom little balloons up and cake because it was for a special occasion. Thank you so much much appreciated.

What did I like being stuck on the fifth floor with broken lifts? One of them was managed to be fixed, but still an inconvenience when you’re on the fifth floor.

I needed a bath in my room due to health conditions, one of the ladies in reception made sure that one of the rooms with a bath was reserved for me so this was great, thank you The room was Beautiful and spacious and the facilities were lovely.

It was my sisters birthday I was celebrating and asked if something could be put in the room , I was told I would have a cake platter and balloons in the room but unfortunately this was not the case.

I stay here often when working in London. It’s a great location, always clean and the reception staff are brilliant. Plus the building has so much history in it- a unique place to stay!

Minor gripe, but the lift off reception is unpredictable. But a good excuse to use the stairs!
