The Boundary struck that rare balance of luxury and intimacy. I’ve stayed at places like the Sofitel, but this felt different, just as refined, yet with a more personal, boutique feel. From the thoughtful amenities to the beautifully done breakfast and those Aesop soaps, everything felt intentional. You can tell the team really understands their guests and takes pride in the details. It all left a genuinely good impression.

The only challenges we faced were the noise from the rooftop bar and some confusion around the breakfast policy. The music was quite loud in the evenings, but it stopped just before midnight each night, which meant we could get some proper sleep, toddler included. That timing stayed consistent throughout our stay. As for breakfast, it would’ve helped if the staff had been clearer about what was included with our booking. We were given mixed information about the daily allowance, which led to some unnecessary confusion and a bit of awkwardness at checkout. A small fix, but one that would have made things feel a lot smoother.

Everything was nice , room big , would benefit from dobule glazing.

I left a Google review about the downstairs bar, as it didn’t meet my expectations. Shortly after, I was contacted directly on my personal phone number by the Operations Director. I found this quite inappropriate and concerning, as I had not given permission for my personal details to be used in this way. I'm unsure how my number was obtained, but being chased like that after leaving a review feels unprofessional and intrusive.

The room was large, the shower was hot, the bed comfortable, wifi was strong, good television with streaming options, breakfast was ok.

The lights were tricky to work and there was not a compendium that provided information about the property or the surrounds. When trying to get in the lift to our room on Sunday evening the male reception staff member shouted “are you a guest in the hotel”. He was trying to manage the visitors going up to the rooftop bar (we understood that) but there has to be a better way of managing that rather than raise your voice to in-house guests.

We very much enjoyed the location, the neighborhood, and the personal style of the rooms. It felt like coming home after a day in London. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great restaurants close by as well.

We had a room at the front, which didn't block the sound from the streets of people having fun in the weekend. The hotel provides earplugs, which worked well. The beds were a bit to hard to my liking, but that's a personal thing.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect - all the best restaurants nearby, plus a one-minute walk to the Overground, buses right on the main road and Liverpool Street Station quite nearby as well. The rooms are impeccable, I loved the bed, the design, the shower and the products. The staff were really accommodating with a couple of things I needed. The hotel bar was quite nice to come home to for a night cap as well.

WiFi was really poor and I had trouble for both work calls and FaceTiming home with my family. Because I am international, I didn't have cell out and about so I really needed to be able to load my maps before leaving, etc, but the wifi was too spotty and I just couldn't load almost anything. The TV relies on WiFi as well and it cut out in the middle of a show I was getting really into one night. If there is a paid WiFI option, I think it would be totally worth it.

Location of the hotel is fantastic, both bars…rooftop and main bar were both great, attentive staff and good food and drink. Our Boundary room was spacious, bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was huge and all really clean.

The only thing I could criticise about the room was it was a little scruffy around the edges, chips out of furniture…pulls on the sofa etc…but everything else was fantastic.

The furniture in the bedroom13 needs re covering shabby with some stains Carpet too .We told the reception and they agreed it was due refurbishment The bathroom was splendid with huge walking shower not slip pale gray tited floor with rain head shower and separate hand spry Lovely hot water and masses of fluffy white towels.Lots of Aesop gels shampoos and body cream .Masks and earplugs. The brasserie is a busy fun place with open terrace for sunny days. Staff were so kind to us the only old couple in East London as far as I could see.We had a great time We shall go back I'm sure

Hidden Gem! This place is fantastic - the rooms are fabulous from design, comfortable, books to read, toiletries, room service - EVERYTHING! The staff were wonderful. I had to extend my stay and due to the lateness had to move to another room (totally fine) and equally the other room was great also - and the staff were so accommodating and helpful. Restaurant downstairs and rooftop bar/restaurant - both great food and service. Location 10/10!

Nothing I could really fault during my time there.

Loved the shared spaces (restaurants), accessibility to the Tube, and location (prime Shoreditch). Given the location, sound was not an issue for me but it can get louder in the evenings so I appreciated the ear plugs - very thoughtful/considerate

Carpets had a few stains and grout in shower looked like it needed some work. The doors were also hard to slide so I think a few touches needed updates.

We had a lovely time at the Boundary. The hotel has a lively atmosphere in a nice spot in Shoreditch. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff was amiable, including those at the brasserie, reception and rooftop. A special shout out to Myriam, who was wonderful to us.

A minor issue is the curtains, which let some light permeate in the mornings (the hotel offers efficient sleep masks to sort this problem).
