The hotel is great, very clean and the rooms are lovely. We were in room no 1 on the lower ground floor. The bed was so comfy and everything was very clean. The bathroom was clean and had a large walk in shower. We had patio doors with a seating area outside. The facilities were great we used the pool and spa area which includes a large Jacuzzi area, sauna and steam room, hot and cold showers and ice cubicle. There were only four loungers, which I thought for the size of the hotel was poor. There are 2 bars and eating areas, one for families and one for adults which I thought was a good idea. The restaurant is in the adults only area in a large conservatory which was comfy and very pleasant. The staff at the hotel were great and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

The restaurant food was not the best. We stayed 2 nights and on the first night we had our starter then had to wait over 50 minutes for our main and that was after asking how much longer it would be. I think they had forgotten us. I had a Bruschetta starter, which was just ciabatta with chopped tomatoes on top. Bruschetta should be toasted so the bread was soggy and tasteless. The second night we ordered Chicken wing starters only to be told 10 minutes later that they had none left, which my partner was disappointed about. The food is average and nothing spectacular, but the staff were lovely and very apologetic.

Excellent location, good leisure facilities (although couldn't use sauna as it was always full when I tried), staff were pleasant and helpful, particularly on reception and in pulse bar. We had dinner in the pulse bar and it was really nice. The staff were warm, friendly, attentive and pleasant. Deluxe room was beautiful. Really high quality place, would like to come back at a warmer time of year.

Breakfast was nice but wasn't hot enough temperature wise. Could do with more parent and child parking spaces, as we weren't able to use one on the day we arrived (all in use). There were colder nights when we visited. We used heating system in room, but it kept automatically turning itself down lower than what we needed, so room was too cold for us when we woke up in the morning.

Excellent location, close to multiple treks. Excellent facilities. Room was clean. Relaxing atmosphere. Free and easy parking.

Breakfast was sloppy; e.g. items missing on both days. Not enough staff to run the breakfast service and you do feel for them. Staff, especially at the bar were friendly. Some reception staff could do with some training as they seemed to be only interested in club members.

Smart and comfortable hotel with friendly staff and excellent facilities in relation to the gym, pool and spa. Comfortable beds and efficient temperature control, very nice and clean bathroom.

I had read bad reviews of the breakfast but found the food available was good and hot enough, however I still think breakfast is too expensive bearing in mind the high cost of the room already paid. The coffee machine was inefficient and caused long queues for coffee.

Location good. Breakfast fine. Pool nice. Bars are good.

Would like a safe in the room. And not to be asked to pay for a towel for the spa. I think they didn’t in the end charge me, but I was surprised to be told there was a fee for a hotel guest. I was told to use one from the room but the room was not exactly overflowing with spare towels. I realise there are in theory enviro reasons for this sort of policy but it always feels off if charged to use a facility in effect or for something you think should be included as part of that. If it is designed to prevent theft I don’t see that a £2 fee is going to deter someone.

Very good standard accommodation, bedrooms are very comfortable and well furnished. Air conditioning is a bonus.

Food is average and doesn’t match the standard of accommodation generally…….. I’ve stayed here a few times and it always leaves me with that impression. It’s not that’s it’s bad, it’s just average.

We were right under a heating/AC ventilation system which was really loud. Avoid room 53 and the other ones in the vicinity on 2nd floor.

Really lovely, quiet room. It was very large and modern. The tea and coffee facilities in the room are great. It felt luxurious. I loved the spa! It’s really peaceful with a large pool, huge jacuzzi and steam and ice rooms. It’s brilliant that you don’t have to pay extra to use it and can use it anytime.

They don’t cater for enough people at breakfast. All food regularly ran out and people were standing around waiting for fresh food to come out and then it was all gone again immediately. I don’t really understand why they don’t put more out in the first place. I gave up watching and waiting in the end!

The staff are really friendly, the bed was extremely comfortable and the spa was just amazing, I loved that it was open till late so I was able to go back to the spa after having my dinner! You could really see the separation of trying to be adult friendly whilst maintaining a family friendly place.

On my first night I had really noisy neighbours above me that didn't really quite down and I had to go reception twice about them, luckily they were gone by my second night. The hotel definitelyneeds sound proofing or better insulationin the property. The shower in my bathroom wasn't fully clean as there were strands of hair in the shower from someone else and there was a red petal left in the room by the chair which was easily spotted. Also on my last day I was waiting for my breakfast for an hour, I had to go to the front to be told that my breakfast was not out through somehow even though I had been charged for it. The staff member did apologise a lot and gave me a free hot chocolate which was appreciated but still the wait was ridiculous.
