The room was very roomy bed was a very nice size lovely grounds very nice leisure facilities to help you unwind. The staff we met was very nice and welcoming and went out of there way to make sure you were looked after great bunch of people the hotel has got there.

On entering the hotel site down a nice long entrance lined with trees which was very appealing nice and ample parking facilities as well. At looking at outside of the hotel it really needs updating some modernisation which will bring it up to a more appealing standard. On entering the hotel to reception which was nice had a drink down at bar whilst waiting for the room and again needs modernisering along with the interior walls and floors with seating. Most of doors to the rooms were brown which made it look old they were probably fire doos but you can make them more modern. Air conditioning in the rooms would be a great bonus as well. Slatted paneling on outside of the hotel walls would make it alot more modern and welcoming.

Extremely friendly staff at both reception and restaurant (extra shoutout to Poppy!). They received an important package for us without a single moment of fuss. Rooms super clean, beds dito comfy. Option for swimming is nice, breakfast good. Dinner at the restaurant was also amazing, with double the ice cream scoops for my daughter, lovely! We were on our way back to the Eurotunnel, it’s conveniently located.

Our room was situated on the third floor, even side, where the ventilation on the rooftop was very loud, impossible to be there without background noise or sleep without ear plugs. If we go back I’d ask for another room. Swimming pool is also a public health club with young and not so friendly staff. Also a bit worn. Carpet throughout the hotel not very clean.

we didnt have dinner as our plans to do so changed. . We didnt actuallly justify the breakfast we paid for in advance with our booking as my husband had to go to A&E early in the mornng as a an emergency so I had a quick croissant a bowl of fruit and yogurt and a couple of coffees before our taxi arrived to take us there but my husband couldnt eat or drink anything but that was not the hotels fault but due to his condition at the time. What I had was very good and the other food on offer looked very nice. Our room had a lake view at no extra cost and had everything we needed. The grounds are amazing and vast.

nothing we could find that we didnt like

My wife and I checked in at 11.00,not expecting our room to be ready, but because our Daughter was collecting us to take us out for lunch at the pub near where she lives. We were greeted by Steve on reception who offered to take our luggage and store it for us, but we decided as to leave it where it was, in the car. We then had a delicious coffee then our Daughter arrived. We returned at 20.15 and decided to have a small meal. We were a little confused over the "voucher" system so in my case ended up paying £20.00 for a £17.50 meal of Fish and Chips,{ as I did'nt want a starter or desert}, my fault. It was a very hot night so was grateful for the fan in the room, as a result of this and the comfy bed, had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was very busy as there had been three weddings on the Saturday, so my wife and I had pastries and coffee prior to leaving. Would we stay there again. Yes I think we would.

The voucher system. Confusing and as it turned out unnecessary.

Nice clean bedrooms and bathrooms and main hotel areas all fine. The hotel is in need of a refurb but that said perfectly adequate and offers good vfm.Great location for Leeds Castle, Sissinghurst etc. Reception staff (Steve particularly) very helpful and welcoming. Bar staff very efficient. Self Service breakfast fine with good choice

Food in restaurant ok for one evening but we ate out the second as restaurant service was poor and staff short tempered. We waited over 45 minutes for our meal with no apology for the delay . Accept they all might be having a bad day but really not good enough.

Large hotel set in large grounds with modern room facilities in a great location just off the M20. Buffet breakfast is excellent & evening menus look interesting & varied & reasonably priced by hotel standards. The hotel also has a fitness centre with a pool & hot tub. Spa treatments are available at Pavo & happy to recommend Jordan for a variety of massages. Check-in with Tia was a good experience & made sure we were set up for our stay. Young lady serving in the bar was welcoming & friendly. Restaurant staff are all very helpful and friendly.

Some of the interior decor in the public areas could benefit from a refresh, but currently not a deal breaker. The exterior of the building needs attention as the entrance area is looking very tired.

Beautiful Surroundings and you wouldn’t know you were near a motorway, has a good bar and restaurant, evening meal and breakfast are very good and the bar had some good beer. Leisure club is also free to use as a guest so we used the pool for a few hours. Staff were incredibly friendly and polite at all times.

The property is old and very dated, there’s areas that need some money spending, that being said it is clean! My only real gripe is that the auto door closers on the room doors are too quick so if you let go of the door it slams hard and that seems to happen at all hours as people are coming and going so if you’re a light sleeper it can wake you.

I loved the hotel and its wellness area. Plenty of safe parking, a really nice wellness area (it was fine but could have been a bit cleaner especially in the changing area), the breakfast was incredible, dinner was great, bed super comfy and the staff was really lovely. We would certainly stay again. Thanks so much for a very lovely stay :)

A very minor thing and maybe it was just that day, but I thought the floor in the changing area could have been kept a bit cleaner, but it's not a huge complaint, it's a really lovely wellness area

Surprisingly good bed room for a chain hotel. Decent size room, very clean, large comfortable bed, excellent bath/shower/toilet etc. Lovely staff on reception and a very friendly welcome. Easy parking. Huge grounds to walk in. Super breakfast and efficient breakfast staff.

Evening meal just not good. Over-priced pub food and poor quality to boot. Meal was way below expectations and, having read reviews after the event, my negative views are not alone! So much is good about this hotel and it is a shame that the evening kitchens really let the side down.

The bed was huge and very comfy. Plus blackout curtains meant we had a great sleep. The room was really clean. The shower was good and there was also a small bath. The breakfast was tasty and had loads of choice . The staff were friendly and helpful. Pool facilities are a brilliant extra perk. Lots of free parking onsite too.

The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work and there were no heated towel rails/racks or coat/towel hooks in the bedroom so en suite stayed very steamy for a long time and it was difficult to dry towels out between use. Towels were replaced daily so it wasn't a big problem but would have preferred the option to be a bit more ecofriendly and reuse them. Breakfast was also a bit lacking in vegan options for some of our family members - things like hash browns and mushrooms weren't vegan friendly, which feels like it could be easily rectified. Some rooms also suffered from noise from neighbouring rooms and outside at night.
