Honest Review.. Executive Room 9th Aug 25. Room: Spacious & Spotlessly Clean, Bed So comfortable, quality thick mattress & soft clean bedding. Powerful shower & lovely smelling toiletries, fluffy white towels. Great size tv, robes a bonus.. tea / coffee tray full & mini bar had a bottle of wine, beer, pepsi & water. we used the swimming pool, sauna & steam room which was lovely.. robes came in handy! staff we spoke to & the girls on reception were lovely. we didn’t have dinner in the restaurant but if the breakfast is anything to go by, then we definitely will next time! Breakfast was excellent.. the choice was huge, and it was very enjoyable.
The only thing i did think was a bit cheeky, but only minor is the charge for parking, for guests staying at the hotel i don’t you should have to pay, but £5 for 24 hours isn’t much at all.

Our room that we always have 127 is ideal for us and our furbaby neve its a lot quiter where we are also the staff are excellent Demi on reception was extremely helpful and I thank her for all what she did to accommodate our stay then we have Olivia who was also lovely and helpful then you have summer who was behind the bar and also lovely and helpful and then Jan the housekeeper who made our room lovely that is why we keep coming back we try and get there 3 times a year the food again was excellent especially the breakfast it was really busy as there was 2 big functions on so 100% I give to them all thank you for making our 3 days special 😊 xx
Well ok the card situation is ok but what I found was every time you brought something from the bar 10% was added on to the bill whether it was a bag of chrisps, drinks, food etc etc and at first they didn't ask you if you want the service charge but I think a lot of people have complained as the next day the staff asked if we wanted it or not I think it should be up to the individual to tip who ever they want so watch this space 😉

The location was pleasant enough. Hot food was warm !!!and no pan au chocolate were out on both days we eat breakfast, staff were always pleasant though which is always a good thing Clean, plenty of towels and soap, shampoo and shower gels provided were a great idea really liked that
The location of plug sockets for charging phones etc was not great, one near the door too far way from the bed and the other one the window wall And not much room to get into bed on one side Our room was too warm in the night and so had the window open, could hear the motorway traffic but that was our choice

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. My two children had a fantastic time and they were not only tolerated but made to feel welcome in the hotel. The room was absolutely spotless and the decor was neutral enough to feel timeless and not dated. Clearly the bathrooms have been recently updated as they were fresh and appealing. We were there for an overnight getaway and it was just the adventure my children wanted - room service in robes, what a treat!
Check in was a little slow as there seemed to be few staff around, although it was a Sunday afternoon so to be expected! I have no real complaints but if I was being particular I'd say it could have been more explicit about how to get extra towels to use for the pool and more kids options on the room service menu would be appreciated. But these are small issues!

The reception staff were lovely and very welcoming. Our room was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was fabulously comfortable we had an excellent night's sleep. The buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The spa facilities are quite compact, the pool was a nice temperature though not very big. The steam-room, despite being only big enough for four people at a time, was nice and hot, the two heated lounger beds were very nice too. The spa was never too busy to get into the pool but swimming was pretty limited once there were half a dozen people in it. There was a wedding reception on while we were there but the reception staff had very thoughtfully given us a room away from the noise of the party.
The sauna was hogged by four or five local guys for most the evening and when we finally got a chance to try it, after breakfast the following morning when the spa was virtually empty, it smelt so strongly of stale sweat from the previous evening we came out after 30-seconds. The lounger area on the poolside was pretty much a big puddle, which was still there the following morning. The lack of routine cleaning in the spa after closing at 8:00pm let the place down badly. Our only other criticism is the lack of a slip-mat in our bathroom for the shower.

Breafast was good, as was the evening meal we had in the bar, due to having a dog with us we coudnt go in the resturant but thats fine.
Now this is the reason we will never stay there again, althought the bar and various lounge areas were nice and cosy we wanted to enjoy a drink in them, i bought a large wine and a pint of lager and was charged £25.50, i nearly fell off the bar stool. While i expected to pay a bit more than a pub but £25.50 for 2 drinks was extortionate. ruin my stay.

we enjoyed the whole experience including the sp, breakfast and the ambience. The staff were excellent friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet, clean.
We tried to order food from the restaurant but there was no response on the phone, despite the time being around d5pm. The restaurant is meant to be open upto 10pm. We rang several times until the phone cut off. We tried the reception but it also was not answered. We were forced to order food on "Just Eat" app.

The location was ideal for a family occasion. Breakfast was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was disappointing the swimming pool was closed. In our room, it was very difficult to access a free plug socket. Even to use the kettle, you had to lift the tray from the shelf under the TV and plug it in behind the TV. I am aware the hotel has Spa facilities but it seemed rather odd men and women sitting around in the reception area and going to the bar in Bath robes!

Lovely room and we enjoyed the pool
Not a lot of choice on the menu that a 10 year old would like and we weren't offered the child menu. I only found out they had one because I was speaking to a gentleman on the second evening before dinner and when I stated the fact about the lack of choice of food a child would eat he told me they did a child menu but I had to ask for it when we went into the restaurant - it was never offered to us.

1/ I enjoyed the pool and sauna. 2/ The room had a trouser press, t.v. kettle, coffee, tea bags, biscuits, and wonderful body lotion in the bathroom. 3/ Breakfast was lovely with a full English breakfast, cereal, toast, fruit pastries, and mini cakes on offer.
1/ It is a late check-in time at 3p.m. 2/ The pool is vacated by 6 p.m. to accomodate children, which I understand as the pool area is small.
