Very peaceful setting for my elderly mum and I, the twin beds were very comfy.

My elderly mum's mobility is very difficult so because there's no parking within the grounds or outside I had to leave her in a safe place to pick her up and drop her off and venture into the extremely dark car park on my own. Parking for one night was £7 but a bit of a walk for someone who has these difficulties sadly. The lack of TVs was a good thing but difficult and different I like to listen to the news each morning. The lovely breakfast however makes up for it along with the peaceful lovely gardens.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham actually consists of various accomodation houses spread around the grounds of the Shrine Church. The Refectory provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for residents sleeping in the Shrine bedrooms. The village of Walsingham is interesting to explore. It is known as England's Nazareth on account of both the Anglican and Catholic Shrines. Walsingham can be reached by both car and public transport. Even buses come to Walsingham on Sundays!

Incredibly kind and helpful staff. I arrived very, very late and they checked me in even though the office was closed. Fantastic cooked breakfast in large, clean refectory. Lovely tranquil gardens. Pleasing blend of old and modern architecture Suitable for people who appreciate and respect a quiet environment.

I stayed for two nights in different rooms. The first room had en suite. The second room was shared bathroom. The plumbing was a bit noisy in the second room

This is not a location for a pampering holiday but the overall atmosphere of the site was thought provoking. In addition, evening strolls in the village steeped in history were amazing. This was certainly a stay which we will treasure as an experience.

Again - different standards, as a vegetarian I would have wished for a more 'continental' approach to breakfast.

The whole place is peaceful and beautiful. The room was very comfortable, with en-suite shower room. I asked at reception for an extra pillow and it was quickly provided. Breakfast was good - buffet style with everything one could want. The gardens are lovely, especially as I was very fortunate with the weather during my stay. The carillons ringing out made a delightful sound. The Shrine Church is very special, with a great deal to see and learn, as well as services held frequently. Walsingham Abbey is only a few minutes walk away, and offers a wonderful step back into history with the museum there. The Abbey ruins are rather sad, but also majestic. The gardens are wonderful. When I visited the bluebells were just coming out. Lunch at the Read And Digest Tearoom, situated between the Shrine and the Abbey, was delicious. Wells-next-the-sea is an easy bus ride away and is well worth a visit. Alpaca trekking is available (see their website) and ambling along with an alpaca is a very pleasant hour or so. A very restoring few days.

I can't think of anything I didn't like.

A great location, interesting & beautiful area, and a good breakfast in the morning!

I knew what I was getting, my stay was fine, happy to be there (not for religious reasons but just a place to stay in the absence of anywhere else in that area). No en-suite bathroom, which isn't everyone's cuppa but it was fine. The bed was a little small but fine for a night. Otherwise, a friendly & interesting place to spend some time!

Lovely beautiful surrounding, very peaceful. Breakfast was good and rooms were clean and quiet

The only feedback I would give is that as I arrived in the dark it was unclear where to go to check in, it would be good if there were instructions on the booking.com or signs at the site to show where to check in as I had to be directed by guests on site

I’ve been visiting Walsingham’s Shrine for many years but in the past number of years, only as a day Pilgrim. Until last weekend, I hadn’t stayed at the Shrine accommodation since it was re-furnished some years ago. The accommodation is of a very high standard, very clean, peaceful, the food options on site are good and the staff helpful & friendly. Bed was comfortable and single room size more than adequate for one person. I had an en-suite room.

Nothing I can think of other than my room was a bit too warm overnight for me. There wasn’t a window to open only the balcony door and I didn’t want to leave that open! A little shelf in the shower to hold your shower gel/ soap would be welcomed.

It’s a lovely place with lots of history, location is great too! Breakfast was nice and served efficiently for the numbers of people in the cafe. Everyone there is very pleasant and helpful. We requested a cot for our little one but as all the cots were gone they allocated us in 3 beds instead which was better for us. Bathrooms are shared but they are clean and enough of them for all the guests.

We haven’t checked it before the booking but there is no parking and no even lay-by at the front to unload the language. Good that the public car park is not far.

The location and the setting are exceptional, there is a very peaceful atmosphere around the place and the garden is very beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and included is a large breakfast with good coffee or tea.

The facilities are medium as you have to share and the bathtub is without a shower. A small table in the room would have been helpful.
