A wonderfully restored, traditional village pub, set on the A345 between Durrington and Upavon. Very polite and welcoming team. The food was amazing - the pie looked too big for my mum, but she rose to the challenge. The bedroom was bright, clean & airy with a cafetiere and packets of Arabica ground beans (including decaf). I was provided with a small flask of milk & 2 bottles of mineral water. There were lots of additional, personal touches that really reflected the additional care & attention applied by the team. Fresh baked cookies, postcards, even down the D & G letters on the wardrobe doors - very cute. I loved that the Adams style fireplace was still in situ. There are extensive outdoor facilities too, with well maintained planters.
Having a diabetic partner, we usually look for premises with a room fridge, to store insulin, however this wasn't available this time. I asked for a wine cooler with ice, as an alternative (to try for future use) and was challenged as to how/why I was asking for this - a little surprised as I was clearly purchasing drinks & food at the premises.

5 min from Woodhenge,13 Min Stonehenge,18 min Old Sarum,25 min from Salisbury. Dog & Gun is a cozy place to stay and enjoy while visiting these Historic places. The Staff is very attentive, friendly and inviting. They welcomed us with a bottle of fresh milk and homemade brownie, very lovely and delicious. The rooms are above the bar, we didn't have any issues with noises and if you are a light sleeper they have complimentary ear plugs in the room for your convenience. The Room was Spacious, Warm, Comfortable, Well decorated & Extremely Clean. They had an excellent breakfast and dinner menu. Delicious food with vegetarian options and very Fresh ingredients (Best Hollandaise sauce we ever had for Perfect Benedict eggs). Nice variety of Quality Alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages. The overall ambiance is relaxed, welcoming, good food, good music, well located, comfy rooms, nice people, outdoor space if you want. Definitely plan to return to what became one of our favorite places. Parking space could be limited on a really busy day.

Breakfast cooked to perfection and was one of the best we’ve had whilst staying in a B&B. Staff were very helpful and friendly (Jazz in particular) and nothing was too much trouble. Room was very clean with complimentary bottled water & earbuds as noise from pub below would have been disturbing if you wanted an early night (we didn’t!) and adjacent room and corridor seemed as if in same room so be prepared if you can hear them as they can hear you!!minimal disturbance from road which was a bonus though.
We have no negative feedback regarding our 3 night stay at the D&G .

Loved this place! Quick 10/15 minute drive to Stonehenge. The place was very comfortable and inviting. The first floor is a pub/restaurant, second floor has the rooms. Our room had a full kitchen with a small fold-out sofa bed. The bedroom had two beds, very comfortable and quiet. We had no issues at night with noise. My husband and I went downstairs for dinner. Food and drinks were great, we were even able to order some and take some upstairs for the kids & grandma. Kids stayed back with grandma and watched Netflix(included). The bathroom had great shower pressure. We had a great time speaking with a few of the employees while at dinner. Lots of locals, just loved the atmosphere. Honestly amazing staff. Breakfast was delicious! They had a small buffet selection of yogurt, cereal, juice, breads and some fruit and hot breakfast was included as well. We will be staying here again the next time we go to visit.
Nothing!! Everything was amazing, above and beyond!

Lovely room. Comfy beds. Nice coffee/cookies
Room with sofa bed was in a kitchen?? I assume it has a kitchen for longer staying guests although all the cupboards where empty. Fridge was noisy when trying to sleep. Very hot in room and didn't realise when I booked it was on a main road so cars going past fast during night. Ear plugs are given in room. No pastries or toast at breakfast either. 12% tip added to food bill is disgusting. £78 for 3 chicken burgers and 3 drinks!!

The hosting and atmosphere was fantastic. A great vibe in the pub and very friendly. Couldn’t do enough for you. We really enjoyed our stay because of the friendly staff and it was so nice to relax with great food, a few drinks & then just had to head upstairs to bed! The room was very cosy and had everything you needed. Shower and bath was great it was definitely worth having the King room with the free standing bath. Close by to most of the things to do in the area too!

This Inn is located at 10 minutes ride from Stonehenge and it’s a really good option to stay if you’re visiting this historic site. Staff is amazing and polite, and breakfast is rich and delicious. The room was pretty spacious and beds were comfortable. The dinner was ok with various options (chicken burger was delicious, however vegan sausage pie was oversalted) and took some longer time for us, as we were waiting for food for about an hour.
Even though located pretty close to Stonehenge, the location is a bit disappointing: the property located at the speedy county road (speed limit is 50mph), and it’s pretty noisy if you have to sleep with open windows when it’s hot. Cleaning could be better: found a body of giant house spider under the couch pillow, someone else’s boogers on the bath wall, some pieces of rubbish in drawers. The room has a bit of wear, especially in the bathroom, where boards attached to the bathroom crumble.

We ate great meals, all three in fact - Breakfast, lunch and dinner, and enjoyed them all. I mean, you have to give 5 stars to a restaurant that makes chocolate pizza out of a Double Decker! The staff ranged from those who really believe in their jobs to some who are somewhat more laid back, but they made us laugh so....
Everything in their control was great, the fast cars shooting down the road in the night were turbo charged and noisy.

Amazing friendly and welcoming pub, staff were so helpful from start to finish. In particular Kayleigh who looked after us she showed us to our room, mixed the perfect dark and stormy drink for me, helped us choose from the dinner menu as we couldn't decide as it was all fab. She was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Everything was outstanding. The room, the friendly service, the drinks, the dinner and the breakfast a great choice all freshly cooked 10/10 from us we will be back.
Couldn't stay longer and enjoy a Sunday Lunch

Warm and welcoming, breakfast amazing. Lots of personal touches and the staff were all fabulous. Highly recommend.
A mirror in the main bedroom would have been great, as we were a group of four female friends trying to get ready in a rush! But this is a very small detail in what was otherwise a fantastic place to stay.
