Thank you for a lovely stay, the host was marvellous - so friendly and accommodating! The room is very spacious, cosy and clean. It took us a second to learn how to operate the shower, but they've written good instructions! Parking space right along the street and a nice pub across the road - book ahead if you want to dine there as it gets packed! Lovely spacious unit, very clean and comfortable. More spacious than the photo suggests. Nice kitchenette where you can have simple meals. Nicely sized bathroom. The breakfast was sumptuous. We really enjoyed chatting with the hosts, who were so helpful with suggestions for what we could do. But if you would much prefer privacy, I think they would not impose (we really enjoyed getting to know them).

Nothing. But some tips just for information, this didn't in any way impact our experience - the cottage is on the 'msin' Road, so you do get some traffic. I am a light sleeper, but I had no trouble sleeping.

The property is so cute inside & out, situated right in the heart of Sticklepath village it is only 5 mins from a wonderful walk on the moors at Belstone. The apartment was so comfortable clean & cozy, immaculately clean & so nicely decorated, lovely bathroom & kitchen with a microwave, kettle etc.,. Peter the host is just so lovely, friendly & accomodating & cooks a delicious breakfast! He showed me his sweetest chickens & his doggie Rolo is so adorable. Thank you SO much..

Nothing, I loved everything!

It is an excellent conversion of an old property with lots of facilities including a kitchenette. Just right for an over night stay with a very helpful host who allowed us to park at the rear of the property away from the Main Street. He also cooked an excellent breakfast in the adjoining kitchen-diner. Only 39 paces from the pub over the road!

We didn’t want to park on the road and the gate to the back of the property is narrow. But this was but a small matter and the host was extremely welcoming and helpful.

Peter the host was very welcoming and made sure our needs were met, especially concerning bicycle storage. His greyhound Rolo will lap up any attention that you can give him. Lovely breakfast cooked to order with perfect poached eggs supplied by the rescue chickens that live at the end of the garden. The location is fantastic with the local pub and cafe/shop opposite. Good WiFi and facilities will ensure you will have a great stay. Finch foundry run by the national trust is a few metres away for all history buffs. We would have no hesitation in booking again if we were to cycle that way again. .

Nothing to dislike

The breakfast was first class, especially the eggs from Pete's chickens. He could not have done more for us. Each morning he asked what we wanted for breakfast if we wanted anything different he offered to get it for the next day.

The cottage is right on the road but the traffic did not keep us awake. Parking was on the road but Pete did offer to let us park behind the cottage all we had to do was call him when we were on our way back to the cottage.

Lovely clean well maintained room, nice bathroom with walk in shower. Had a kitchenette attached purely for our use with basic but perfectly adequate facilities. Comfy bed. Though not required the room had good heating available. Located on the main road but not to noisy and very close to local shop and pub - you could see both from the window! Very friendly couple who owned the property, there if you needed them but not intrusive in any way, perfect balance. Superb breakfast, cooked if required or just cereals and anything in between.

For what we wanted and expected there was nothing which stood out which annoyed, frustrated or upset our experience of our stay. All the facilities where as expected if not better so there is no need to nit pick so we will not.

Breakfast excellent cooked exactly to our preference. Our host was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Fresh home produce and local products were available. Room spotless and attractively furnished, wiith fresh flowers. Directly opposite an excellent local pub with good, reasonable food.

The room could seem a little claustrophobic to some. It's right on the main road through the village, though the traffic does die down at night.

The hosts were amazing, they went out of their way to help me. I got there late on my bicycle and too late to eat at the pub opposite. I had some washing which they took care of and they sorted out some food for me as I was exhausted. The room was complete with kitchen and the bed so comfortable. It is in a lovely location.

My stay here was perfect there was nothing not too like, I would gladly return here on another trip.

Brookside Cottage is in a wonderful location at the heart of Sticklepath village. It’s very close to the two village pubs and the local store. The room was large and comfortable with a separate kitchen area where facilities were available for making hot drinks. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with plenty of towels provided. The breakfast room was lovely and overlooked the owners magnificent gardens. The breakfast was cooked to order by Pete, it was piping hot and delicious. On the whole we had an enjoyable stay and an excellent nights sleep.

Everything was just fine.
