Great location for the town, dinner in the bar was very good.

We booked to arrive between 5 & 6 (and had confirmation back), but on arrival, we were told that they don't open until 5.30. On booking .com there was a breakfast option to "pay at property" when we asked about this we were told they don't do breakfast but there was a cafe just around the corner - when we left nothing in the town was open! The stairs are very noisy.

Superb location as we were visiting friends and were able to walk to their house in the town. Although we had to move rooms after the 1st night after a bit of a mix up the manager dealt with it really well and we didnt feel put out at all.

Only 1 table lamp between the two beds and we had to scamble around to find the plug to switch it on.

Welcoming couple who run it. It was quiet, being in an annex. The items in the room, such as bottled water, were of high quality. Room only, but Chagford is an expensive area so not too bad value, and they kindly left ceral and fruit in the entrance area. The best thing about it was the quality of the food in the pub itself, which was phenomenal.

Personally we found the mattress not supportive enough.

The en suite room was very clean, well furnished and comfortable. The bed was large and very comfy.

There was no breakfast available at the time we stayed, but there were two cafe's locally that did excellent breakfast.

The location make it a mini adventure to get there. Off site parking 5 min away was free after 6pm until 10am. Giving you a delightful stroll through a gem of a town. The Inn was nice showing a selection of local art work. The staff were all welcoming and friendly, nothing seemed to much trouble. The bar had an excellent selection of real ales, lagers and ciders. Then there is the food. If this place was in a big city it would have a Michelin star! It was glorious. Starter, main and sweet (which I dont normally have) I didn't want it to end. Thank you to all involved, you've got a fantastic establishment which I will rave about to anyone who will listen. Superb.

Not staying a second night to carry on sampling the menu and bar offerings.

My room was large and wonderfully peaceful, but I think perhaps I was the only one staying that night. Check in is very late but the owner kindly let me leave my bags there in the morning so I could go off for the day.

I think check in could be earlier and it's a real shame they don't do a hot breakfast. I think all hotel rooms are expensive if you are a single traveller so I don't think this room was any better or worse than others.

Clean comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities.

Double bed fits a small alcove and is against the wall. This is unavoidable and the bed is comfortable but i think some people might tlike to know this.

I somehow managed to choose the coldest, iciest and snowiest day to travel to Chagford on motorcycle. There were diversions on the A303 in two locations and on the A30 that severely delayed me but the host was most helpful, leaving a key in the door for me to arrive after the usual check in time. That flexibility was most appreciated!

The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean there was bottled water coffee kettle clean shower and toilet it was nice and quiet I would recommend to stay here very friendly staff

Nothing at all it was perfect

Breakfast not applicable. There are great cafes in Chagford so it was good to take a walk before breakfast. However dinner was fantastic and my dog and I were made to feel most welcome.

TV reception poor due to the surrounding hills but the wifi worked well.Fairly basic rooms but more than adequate. Fresh milk and mineral water supplied.
