Exceptional very lovely beautiful place to stay in a lovely location. The property was Amazing everything there you need. Perfect place to stay to just to be able to switch off from everything. Bathroom was amazing l did enjoy my bath very much. Bed very comfy l certainly recommend. Our host Alison was very friendly and helpful and even helped us by Cooking our pizza. The views were Amazing it was a truly wonderful stay. Amazing breakfast both days really enjoyed it . Thank you Alison.

Nothing not to like.

Lower Thornton Farm is a beautiful place to stay, it’s so peaceful and Alison went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, nothing was too much trouble. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the room was well set out with everything we could want for our stay. The breakfasts were delicious and, again, Alison made sure that we had everything we needed, even getting Vegetarian sausages in for me! In addition Alison has a beautiful dog who regularly bounded over for a tussle with his toy and it was lovely to sit there with him on our patio listening to owls hooting.

There was nothing we didn’t like about Lower Thornton Farm, it was perfect for us and we will definitely be visiting again.

The host Alison is excellent, very welcoming and hospitable. The accomodation (Room 2) was spacious, the bed extremely comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. For a quiet break in the countryside, not too far from a number of attractions, cannot recommend highly enough. Ask Alison beforehand for specific directions, as access is down a country lane, and she can give you another postcode to aim for.

Good instructions for our arrival and finding our room. The location was perfect, very peaceful with lots of wildlife. Plenty of tea and coffee in your room with extra supplies not far away if needed. Breakfast was very good, eggs sourced from their own chickens. Room was very clean with comfortable bed, and the owners were extremely thoughtful and attentive. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay for a weekend getaway or for a few days to explore Dartmoor National Park and surrounding areas. Room was very clean and well equipped, beautiful bathroom. The breakfast was delicious with stunning views. The owner (Alison) was very pleasant and friendly. We would definitely return to this property for another stay.

It was a lovely place to stay. Great breakfast and really nice host. Very quiet and peaceful.

It’s at the end of a narrow lane but lots of properties are like that in Devon - you need to be a confident driver if you aren’t used to the roads.

Huge room, fabulous breakfast, everything spotless, no parking worries, stunning scenery, my daughter loved the farm doggie 💕

Location very remote, several miles of narrow lanes, which didn't do my city car any favours, breakfast ending at 8.45am on a holiday Sunday was far too early for us.

The room was wonderful and large. The bed was so comfortable and the sound of the river running nearby and no light pollution made it absolutely perfect. The breakfast was freshly cooked using very good ingredients. All in all a most wonderful stay.. Just wished we could have stayed longer

A lovely peaceful farmhouse location, off the beaten track and far from the bustle of town life and busy roads. Lovely to have the use of a guest sitting room with comfy sofas and board games.

We found that the TV signal was poor, but then who wants to watch TV when having a break away.
