The breakfast was amazing 👏 Lovely fresh food, cooked to perfection and brought to our table. We were made to feel very welcome and local, regular customers chatting with us as well. Our room was very comfortable, clean, tea & coffee making facilities. A very pleasant stay, lots of variety on the restaurant menu. Would recommend for a relaxing weekend away. We had travelled to attend a 60th party in the next village. Ness & Paul run a superb pub/inn with a great team.

I cannot find anything to say negative. The staff were more than helpful and nothing was too much trouble!

The Cridford Inn has a lovely location in a narrow valley. The building is old and quirky, though I think they could stop mentioning 850AD, which I can't imagine has anything to do with the current bricks and mortar! The food at lunch and dinner was really good, with some interesting creative dishes as well as very good pub classics. The owners are an extremely hardworking, excellent team who deserve every success.

The choosing a breakfast menu and time the evening before feels restrictive, and makes no sense when you're having cereal, fruit juice and toast. The fruit juice was dreadful orange concentrate - would help if it was better quality. My room had a fairly major problem with the loo and wash basin fixed to the eaved side; pretty much impossible to avoid banging your head quite badly. Not easy to move the porcelain to the straight wall I'm sure, but worth a try...I understand its financial implications. TV remote pretty on its last legs, and distorted sound from the tv itself.

The Cridford Inn is a hidden gem. The location is convenient for me, at the back of Haldon Forest Park, it is quiet and well away from main roads... peaceful. Friendly staff and good food. The Inn is extremely old and full of character....which I like.

The Inn is extremely old....which I like, but also gives rise to uneven steps and low ceilings and beams. Not an issue for me, but for others to be aware of. This isn’t the easiest of places to find, but trust in google and your ability to navigate narrow Devon lanes and you will be rewarded.

If I could, I would have stayed here longer! What an amazing property. Communication was prompt. And when you got to the Inn, everyone was very friendly. The room was clean, private, and quiet. And definitely beautiful with its own charm. There is plenty of parking and it was a very safe location. Breakfast is beyond amazing! You have a many choices and the coffee is delicious. You can taste the love in your food. Location was great, went everywhere I wanted to go.

Women might want to bring their own conditioner.

There were a few annoying little things in the room.. no handsoap, a broken lamp, and the lighter didn't work, so we couldn't start a fire in the beautiful fireplace. We considered asking for a replacement but the restaurant was busy and the staff looked very stretched. So we watched tv instead... WiFi was very patchy, but that was to be expected based on the location.

Room nice and clean. Comfortable bed. Nice staff. Good food. Lovely and quiet if u want quiet 😊

The shower head kept falling down. Breakfast I had a small jug of milk which I thought was for my cuppa tea but he said it's also for my cereal which only just covered it so I asked for some more he got me some but said that should be plenty which just done some but couldn't have anymore tea as it wasn't enough. Also my partner was still eating his breakfast he just took the plates away while still eating. We went out for the day to come back to our room tidy, I didn't like it as I didn't ask for staff to go in my room to do so which also I was not happy with.

Tucked away in a valley so peaceful and quiet. Great room as given a family room with a sofa, good for tv watching for hour or so, especially as solo traveller. Friendly staff, made to feel very welcome. Good choice on evening menu. Lovely walk from the door so great not having to use car. Well-prepared cooked breakfast. Everything I needed for a couple of days away from it all.

Nothing I can think of. Maybe 1 or 2 extra choices for breakfast but that is nitpicking!

Beautiful English Inn. Step back to 1081 and experience the cosy charm and hospitality of this lovely cottage. Exposed beams, leadlight windows Very clean and comfortable room. English breakfast and dinners were delicious. Owners and staff are very friendly, kind and hospitable. We felt like part of the family. Dogs are allowed in bar/dining areas. They were so well behaved. Highly recommend for a very relaxing stay.

Not a dislike, just a comment. Road into Inn is quite narrow but there are side stops to enter if traffic coming other way.

We stayed two nights. The pub was very close to the Great Barn wedding venue where we were attending our nephew's wedding.. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely location. The rooms were comfortable with a comfy bed and were very clean. The breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked to order. Nice pub meal in the evening. Ovrrall good value, and I can recommend the Cridford Inn.

We arrived from the east from the A38 on very narrow roads. It is much better to arrive from the west where the roads are better.

I chose The Cridford Inn to experience a bit of old-style English Inn culture and my expectations were quite high. They were not only met but clearly exceeded. A very quaint and lovely inn. It melded modern amenities perfectly into the old building (mind your head at some places, people were smaller back then). All was clean, the staff very friendly and the food tasted deliciously. The Cridford Inn is situated deep in the countryside offering nice walks. I'd definitely like to stay there again.

There is nothing to complain about. Just be aware that as it is deep in the countryside, the roads are quite narrow.
