This was my second visit to this hotel, and it didn't disappoint. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and made you feel welcome. The included breakfast was excellent. We also had dinner in the delightful restaurant and could not fault the food, which was delicious and reasonably priced. The beef lasagne was superb, the haddock and chips were great, and the curry was a wow. There is no problem parking the car as there are more than enough parking spaces, many close to our room. The room was adequate, spotlessly clean and perfect for our three-night stay. The hotel is ideally situated to plan days out. Overall, this hotel represents excellent value for money, and I look forward to my next visit.

To be really picky, an additional bedside cabinet would have been good.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We had clean towels and bedding every day.

My daughter paid for me to have a meal at the restaurant for my birthday as it was my birthday during my stay. My friend and I ordered steak and when it arrived it was so tough we sent it back. We decided to order burgers. They were so greasy we left them too. The chips were greasy but we ate them because we were hungry. The dessert was nice. I had to lie to my daughter and tell her the meal was lovely.

This hotel is fantastically located, right by the A38/A380. Yet the road noise was not a problem in the slightest, could not hear any traffic inside the room. The rooms look like they have been refurbished recently and are of a good standard. It was hygienically clean (a deeper clean in the bathroom is required, if I'm being fussy, around the fiddly bits, tap, bath rails, maybe the bathroom floor). But having stayed in many varying hotels, this is still about average for the price and rating The bed was comfy, and the pillows were decent. The food was OK, we ate twice in the evening and had breakfast each morning. I wouldn't say the breakfast was value for money, as it was a small portion. But it was of a good enough standard taste wise. The staff were very good, very attentive and helpful. Parking is plentiful and close to the rooms

Second time staying here breaking our journey to the West Country. Exeter Court would be very hard to beat for value for money. The basic room was small but looked newly refurbished and very clean. Shower was good with plenty of hot water. The dinner was very tasty and reasonably priced, enjoyed by all in our party of six. Hot breakfasts are cooked to order. Staff were all extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Located so close to the motorway you might think road noise was a concern but it really isn’t. We couldn’t hear traffic at all. Cannot praise this hotel enough.

The room was freshly painted, very clean and comfortable. The bedding was very clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was modern and the shower good. Good range of tea and coffee in our room and toiletries in the bathroom. Our evening meal in the restaurant was lovely and very good value. The breakfast was basic but adequate. Good vegetarian options. The staff were friendly and helpful. The receptionist turned the heating on for me as our room was cold. Exceptional value for money. Great for a night or two but I wouldn't want to spend a week there.

We had to walk across the car park to get to the restaurant and it was pouring with rain. I kept banging my head on the wooden headboard. I could hear the cleaners talking in the corridor and they were a bit loud. Maybe they should think about what they're saying as they are probably unaware that guests can hear every word.

Everything was Great. All the Staff were great. Very friendly and efficient. As soon as you enter the hotel reception, it feels great. Clean, modern. Reception was friendly and very helpful. The room was lovely. Clean, well appointed. We ate in the restaurant. Once again. It felt great. New, clean. Well appointed. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient. Superb value for money. Breakfast once again was lovely. Restaurant and bar area felt clean and modern. Position of the hotel was excellent for us. 1 minute of the A38. 10 out of 10 all round.

Everything was Great.

First appearances were not good - and Sat Nav took me wrong way (it's right behind the service station as soon as you're off the dual carriageway.) However, check in staff were helpful, and room was much better on the inside than expected... Great place to stop off off if you're travelling down to the south e.g. Cornwall Food and bar was run by some Tamil guys from Sri Lanka - ate there twice, both times were good

Be careful of using the postcode for Satnav - it took me the wrong way down some very narrow lanes. It's in the countryside - don't ecxpect shops close by, and be ready for tractors drivining close by.

The staff were very attentive and kind, we left a sweatshirt behind and they phoned to let us know and offered to send it as we live in London, I felt this was good service. Our room was very clean, plenty of parking and the breakfast was good except the sausage was a bit chewy as though kept warm too long, but otherwise all good. We also had dinner there I had haddock and chips and my husband had steak and chips, all cooked well and was enjoyed. I wanted to fill my water bottle and the tank was running low, the man came out immediately to offer to top it up.

Sausage was a bit overcooked.

Breakfast was very good, although it could have been a little hotter but it was ok. The room was fine but there was a strong sewer smell in the bathroom at times, this could have been exacerbated by the heavy rain we had over night. The bed was softer than we usually have but we realise that this is personal choice. The carpet was badly stained in some areas and would benefit from a good clean. We had dinner at the hotel and this was enjoyed by all 4 of us, very enjoyable.

Carpets need cleaning. The hospitality tray was good although we didn’t use it on this occasion. I was impressed to find an iron and an ironing board in the room, although on this visit we didn’t need to use it but it was good to see it in the room. The bedside light on one side of the bed did not work. I forgot to mention this on checkout, it was room 34, perhaps this could be checked.

the location was really convenient, there is ample parking and the room was clean, tidy and modern, the layout of the hotel was really nice and the reception was helpful and chatty.

The breakfast staff where a little short, that said they where super busy, following a wedding the day before. However, the menu implied that you had to pay for breakfast and that if you had a cooked breakfast you couldn't have cereal. There was only one very small sausage one rasher of bacon, one egg and a few beans. Extra sausage and bacon, where available at extra cost. We stayed in one room for one night and paid £160, I don't think the breakfast hit the mark.
