All staff were happy, helpful and very professional. Our room was in the old part of the hotel, which is interesting and quite quaint really. The room was above average size with a large bathroom. All the amenities you would expect. Clean, with a comfy bed. The bars, again in the old part were good as was the food and beers. Breakfast was exceptional. Location was brilliant, right in the city centre near the cathedral, with very reasonable parking (£5) What is not to like. Exeter has a surprisingly vibrant city centre, probably because there is no huge shopping centre sucking everything from the high street.

Location is great. Walking distance to the center and cathedral. The Marston’s Inns itself is full of history. They did an amazing job to restore the place and kept its original charm. Room is good size and there is lift inside the building. The onsite bar and restaurant are super handy.

No fridge in the room to keep milk cold if you just want to make a cuppa. No air conditioning unit only a small fan in the room. Street noise at night as there are bars and pubs nearby. Private parking is very expensive! It said £5 a day, but when we arrived it changed to £10 a day due to seasonal change. Luckily street parking is not difficult there. So we parked our rental on street most of the days.

Everything from the check in to when I checked out 3 days later...the staff were absolutely amazing to me and made me feel really special....my room was large spotlessly clean and really comfortable..I was staying for a family wedding which was nearby and the staff were on hand when 12 of the wedding party met at the hotel... The day after the wedding the receptionist I believe is called Louise came and sat with me and asked me to tell her all about our special day... I cannot praise the hotel and staff enough it was amazing. I will certainly stay again... Thank you to you all at the White Hart..

Having stayed before we went for location. Short walk to bars and restaurants to either riverside or centre of tiwn

Gone up in price so we're expecting great things. While booking.com said parking was £5 per night the receptionist told us it was £10 and she was very cross with booking.com. Breakfast ordering was such a nightmare we gave up and went down to cafe on riverside. Previously we helped ourselves to fruit, cereal, tea or coffee but this time it was all priced strictly separately ie continental, full English, tea and coffee were extra...no flexibility at all. Never again. We shall be complaining to Marsdens

We've stayed here before but came by car. This time we used the train from Bridgwater direct. Pub has had a makeover since we were last here. We had the same room as our previous stays, a twin. Good facilities, plenty of hot water for shower, kettle for drinks etc. Some street noise when window is open, from late night revellers but nothing that disturbed our sleep. Good coffee at breakfast. All staff are smiley & friendly.

They got my breakfast order wrong! I specially asked for poached egg & bacon on toast with no avocado , but I was given a poached egg & bacon sandwich. 🙄 I did point this out & Tbf they would have changed it, but as my husband was already eating his breakfast, I didn't want to wait.

Good size, clean room, very pleasant staff, parking. As we were in Exeter for Christmas with family we essentially only slept in the hotel, not using the dining or other facilities. A perfect location for shopping, the Quays, and walking to our relatives. A good price.

The mirror light in the bathroom was not working when we got there but was quickly replaced. The bedside lights were too dim for aged eyes to read by. The room was very hot when we arrived there and we turned off the radiator but it remained hot throughout the nights from the towel rail and we left the window open. Not good for the heating bills or the planet. The radiator gurgled all the time. Being Christmas and skeleton staffed we only mentioned the first which was fixed, others might have been if we had bothered the staff.

Comfortable room, good food, great housekeeping staff! Friendly atmosphere and friendly service! Absolutely fantastic, that no dogs are allowed 😀 Access to a lift 😀 👍 Great location. Recommend, anyone to visit, Exeter, and, treat yourself to a sleep over 😴, at The White Hart Hotel.

What,was a little disappointing 😞, was, the rowdy crowd! Was relaxing, in an amazing little bar, full of history. Then, boom! What happened 😕 Of,course, you expect, a noisy group,from time to time, but, there is a limit. On our morning of leaving, went to the bar,to order breakfast. Got bombarded, by a crowd, pushed infront of my Husband, whilst trying to just order a breakfast, and what did they order, alcohol!! Have, to say, luckily, Whetherspoon, is directly opposite, so had a breakfast! But, I guess, that's life.

The room I had was very nice and had a bath! A bit 'Wetherspoons' to get to the room (long route as the part I was in was old), but once there, no worries!

One minor issue; had my 50th in the function room and we had to vacate by 11 (which as far as I know, we all had!), but the reception man was complaining he'd had to work an extra hour without pay. I'd left before last orders along with the vast majority of the group to get more fun elsewhere, so why didn't he tell the stragglers to go?? Oh well. No major foul, and I did feel bad for him.

Great location no more than 10 min walk from everything so saved on taxis home when went out for drinks as could just stumble back. Asked for haunted room got activity in the room so was happy about that as that’s why we wanted to stay there. Staff don’t bother you and if you need anything they make sure they meet ur requirements- iron/more tea/coffee

More tea n coffee in the room so didn’t have to ask for it everyday as only got enough for a couple cups each day n we had a 4 night stay so would of been nice to have enough in the room when arrived to not have to keep going to reception to ask other than that can’t complain. Water nice and hot I enjoyed a bath partner enjoyed hot shower. Had to ask for iron it’s not in the room but it was big iron with big board not a travel one so that was good and they brought it up to us when asked for it. Room has smart tv so can watch Netflix ect. So that was good when hungover the next morning in nice comfy bed had great night sleep until ghost detector woke us but that’s what we wanted so not complaining hehe
