Overall a really nice overnight stay with a clean and comfortable room and good breakfast.

Dinner was over priced, and completely underwhelming, a chicken burger with three strange chicken balls and frozen chips which really were the ends of bits of chips was really disappointing and didn’t match the quality of the stay, There were only two milk cartons in our room for three guests so had to get more from reception, soon rectified.

We booked the room because we had tickets for the France v Italy Women’s Rugby World Cup match and the hotel is only a two minute walk from the ground. We had booked a parking space so, it was very organised in conjunction with the stadium parking, the hotel had a rep ready with our parking permit. We were informed where to park, it made the whole procedure easy. The room was spacious and well equipped and if you needed any more it was available between reception and the bar. The restaurant, being on the eighth floor had a good view out over the countryside, along with the M5 motorway! The breakfast was standard.

There was nothing to gripe about!

Shower in room was excellent. Comfortable beds. All necessary facilities provided in room (drinks/iron/ hairdryer/safe etc). Staff at reception were helpful. Easy pleasant 20 minute walk (flat) to Newcourt station to Exeter Central or Exmouth if you want to avoid driving - we were surprised regular trains were running on Good Friday.

Organisation of breakfast could be improved (eg. have plates next to toast). Purchased tea for visiting friend in the View bar after rugby match. The tea was lukewarm and only one teabag provided for a large pot. By then the bar was busier - my husband did seek out another member of staff outside bar who was helpful and provided more teabags but hadn't realised at that point our friend's tea was lukewarm. He had to leave soon after. Would be good to include parking in room cost (as with breakfast).

Everything was fantastic, staff were super friendly and helpful. The gym is great, well equipped with nice touches like towels and a cold water machine. The room was excellent, bed was huge and so comfortable. Really enjoyed that there was a free still and sparkling water station in the downstairs bar. I didn’t have breakfast, but there was a fridge in my room which was big, I brought my own bits from home to store in there :)

My only negative was the glass ‘wall’ in the bathroom. From the bedroom you can see everything. I was travelling solo, but I just can’t understand why anyone would want to see into the bathroom and have a pretty decent view of their partner or family member on the toilet/in the shower? The wall is opaque but you can still see silhouettes perfectly. It also allows all the light from the bathroom into the bedroom. Had I been travelling with someone I imagine this would have been quite obtrusive should they have wanted to sleep whilst I was using the shower. Only mentioning should it be a factor that would deter one from booking.

Excellent staff, friendly, helpful and polite. Very clean and comphy room. The lifts were very quick.

The website was not very accurate, we'd all planned to eat in the bistro, website said open till 10 but when we arrived it had closed at 6. But having said that, they did say we could eat takeaways anywhere in the hotel. Which we did, kentucky in the roof top bar🤣. My usual growl with most hotels, the accessibility in the communal area was OK but why are the accessible rooms at the far end of the corridor through 2 sets of heavy doors and then no adjoining or nearby family rooms? This never makes sense to me. Actually alot of people needing an accessible room have families with them.

The hotel is beautiful and the view was amazing, staff were lovely and super friendly. Our room was amazing very spacious, clean and it was super comfortable air con was fabulous especially for the hottest day of the year

Myself and my partner do not drive so it was slightly out of the way of a fair few things Uber has not fully launched in the area so there is some wait on that and Apple taxis in Exeter are abit pricier but I believe this fault is our own for choosing something so far away especially since we do not drive ourselves.

Staff were always pleasant and friendly. The room was lovely, bed perfect, very clean and great attention to finer details ie a light in the wardrobe. The top floor restaurant has exceptional views and the food was top quality. There was so much to like.

The air conditioning affected my Fibromyalgia leaving me in a lot of pain and I had to cut my stay short. No milk in the room, I had to go ask for some. Poor quality toilet paper. The service in the bar was rather chaotic in the chap would part serve several people at the same time rather than serve one at a time and he actually disappeared off somewhere then came back. I'm not sure if he was new staff but he was struggling a bit and other staff didn't stop to help. He was a lovely person though and so apologetic.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of food Better signage would be helpful as it was clear that both the coffee machine and toast area were missed by many guests.

Expensive drinks, pricing not displayed and standard measures not aligning with the generous costs. If you want the bar to operate very simplistically with junior staff then fine give standard measures but make sure the pricing is clear. But if you want the bar to operate more as a club bar then have more experience staff that, for example, don’t throw away half measures of whiskey when the bottle is nearly empty when you could’ve given that to the guest on the house Then you can start charging more generous prices.

Room was ok for what you'd expect from a business hotel. Bathroom large and well appointed. The breakfast was good, a buffet with a fair range of options to choose from. Staff friendly all round and happy to accommodate small requests. There's a great gastro pub 10 minutes walk which serves good food. The hotel is modern and comfortable- ideal for a few days and a 20 minute easy drive from Exeter town centre. It has good parking facilities.

Couldn't find fault at this price range.

Went for rugby game obviously perfect location. Room was big as I was late booking so our usual stand room had gone. We had food in the evening was really yummie although a tad expensive.

Breakfast was not inc in price. As it happens we didn’t even have breakfast at hotel in the bed so busy queue at ever buffet & there were 4. Bar didn’t have enough staff on, the poor 2 people that were serving were doing their best but just not fair on them when hotel was full.
