We had an apartment attached to the hotel, it was spacious, very clean and had everything we needed for a self catering long weekend away. The heaters worked efficiently and quickly for chilly nights, and there was plenty of hot water. There was a TV in each bedroom so we could all do our own thing. The wifi was good. The apartment had a small terrace and faced the estuary which was absolutely wonderful. We had a very minor problem with the kitchen equipment and the hotel receptionist sorted it immediately.

The mattresses were a little uncomfortable and felt a little too well used, and the pool lacked any decent lighting making it feel unwelcoming even though the changing rooms were very clean and the showers excellent. There was no walk in showers only over bath showers which were unsuitable for our elderly mother so we had to take her along to the showers in the pool changing rooms. Not ideal.

The view from the room & tranquility of the Teign estuary was exceptional. All Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating (from the point of booking & responding to queries and requests and during the stay). Christmas Day 4 course lunch had a wonderful atmosphere - excellent service and time between each course was given to enjoy & appreciate everything. Good location for day trips...

Breakfast not being included with room booking. Appreciate this cost is advertised when booking; but an additional £15 cost is excessive compared to other Full/Continental breakfast offers.

The location to where we needed to be was spot on. The room view was exceptional. A good choice of eateries and the food was very good even with allergies. The staff were so friendly and always smiling, when we asked for a bath mat to be changed it was done quickly. We were giving our room when we arrived but when we got there we were told it had failed the inspection and they moved us to a different room, this is good to see.

The decor is showing it age, some areas in the room need to be looked at, the grout and seals around the bath/shower and the window had a broken seal that you could feel a draft through when the curtain were not drawn. But for the price I will be happy to book again

Location superb, staff were great and welcoming - The place is in a gorgeous location, Pub on site is great - food was superb.

Breakfast OK felt rushed though and they say until 10am for Breakfast and started clearing up everything on the continental as we were helping our selves including shutting down the coffee machines whilst we were eating - good job we didn't want another cup. Our room looked onto the Railway trac with frequent trains - I would pay the extra next time to over look the Estuary. The sofa bed could not be used properly - luckily we only had one son with us as he said it was the most uncomfortable thing he had slept on.

Having stayed at the Passage House Hotel on a number of occasions we knew what to expect and were not dissappointed.A friendly warm welcome when checking-in and a room presented to the highest standard.Breakfast was included which again was very well presented and tasty

I have only on one complaint.The orange juice served with the buffet breakfast was horrible and one of the strangest things I have ever tasted.It was watered down cheap supermarket squash.I brought this to the attention of the lady at breakfast,however she insisted it was juice,but it wasn`t, a cost-cutting too far I think.

Very friendly receptionist. Very helpful. Lovely pool area. The children loved it. Spacious room . Great views onto the estuary. The terrace is fab. It does feel a bit dated and worn in places however we were only staying for 2 nights. It was comfy and we were very happy with our stay. Perfect location for what we needed. Visiting Combeinteignhead and Teignmouth. The staff were very helpful we had an extra bed added to our room for one of the children this was nice and easy and I was able to do it via booking.com before we arrived.

It was too hot and bright in conservatory when having breakfast. Could do with blinds on the roof. As you want the view but it was just uncomfortable.

The location of the hotel is really nice alongside the river, and only a short walk to Newton Abbot city centre via a lovely scenic walk. The staff were friendly on arrival and throughout the stay and the leisure facilities were great for us as a small family. The pub next to the hotel (same owners) was also really nice for a carvery and the staff there were great too. There's good car parking facilities too.

Breakfast was a little on the small side in terms of options, but that may be because it was very out of season and not many guests were staying. The quality of the breakfast was absolutely fine though.

Great hotel central to lots of activities for everyone but also has the feel of being remote, beautiful views over the estuary, lovely quiet pool with friendly locals. We stayed in the cheapest apartments as a family on a budget, the apartment is old fashioned but well equipped with two TVs, comfortable beds, kitchen with everything you need including washing up liquid etc and immaculately clean. I also had lovely holistic treatments and booked them as soon as I got here. It was bliss and the children was more than happy swimming at least three times a day!!!

Beautiful surroundings! Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful, wonderful pool, sauna, and gym. Good food, comfy beds. Fantastic spa treatments! Close to newton abbot and Teignmouth by bike or car. Shops in Kingsteignton around 20 minutes walk.

You need a car if you are unable to walk a good distance and there are no paths along the road into Kingsteignton so it's not safe with kids to walk into town really, although close to other places and in a beautiful place.

The hotel is easily located off a main A road and on the banks of the River Teign. The room was spacious and well laid out . The room was .very clean throughout. The breakfast buffet was well laid out and the cooked breakfast was cooked to order was very tasty

The playing of piano music through the sound system at first was a bit of a bugbear but after a while it blended in , so wasn't a bigger problem as at first time
