Brilliant stay, the staff were amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel incredibly welcome. Breakfast selection was good and the cooked breakfasts were delicious, had Eggs Benedict on the first morning and scrambled eggs the following. The evening meal was also amazing with a good selection including several vegan options. Parking is tight when the restaurant is busy but there's parking out the front too so no drama. The room itself was clean and well appointed, a nice selection of toiletries and big fluffy towels (that my daughter loved). Both beds are very comfortable and the linen was fresh and clean. All in all a lovely stay, I'm sure we'll be back.

Feedback rather than complaints as none of this would stop us going back. The beds in the twin room are a bit tired, still functioning but repaired with brackets that aren't pretty. The hedge is starting to grow through the window, not a problem but it needs trimming back. Finally the bathroom has a glazed window, while this is frosted glass it does remain quite see through and a privacy blind on the door would be good.

The room we had was spacious in comparison to some we've stayed in! There was good sized wardrobe, 12 drawers and 2 chairs (usually there's one chair). Lunchtime and evening meals were good, with a variety of choices. All the staff were friendly and polite and helped make our stay even more memorable! The Cromwell Inn is ideally situated in the town. A 10 minute walk takes you to the beautiful and spacious park. There is a great children's playing area where parents can picnic whilst the children are playing. There is an abundance of trees, which offer plenty of shade. The dogs seemed to love it as they can run free and play in the little river. Continue walking through the park and you'll come to Dartmoor forest where there are plenty of walks. We'll definitely be visiting again!

Coming home, could have stayed longer!!

Very spacious room that could easily accommodate the extra bed (stored in the cupboard) and provided ample room for luggage/storage. Comfortable bed for a good nights sleep. Almost perfect breakfast provided (no black pudding, otherwise perfect!). Also enjoyed an evening meal in the bar. All the people we came across were excellent, customer-service orientated staff - they are to be congratulated on their approach and getting this so right. They appear to have done a good job renovating this place since taking over some 18 months ago.

The room was at the top in the loft space which was very hot and uncomfortable for that (there was a mini heatwave!), though leaving the skylight open and using the electric fan did work to address this – nothing more they could do about this and not their fault. OK for us but steep stairs may be an issue for some.

Shower Pathetic No Volume & No Pressure. No Soap Tray or Shelf to put Soap, Shampoo etc. Bought to their attention on 1st of 2 Mornings ! No difference on 2nd morning! 1st Morning woken at 4am by the Light Shining through the Curtains & could not get back to sleep. bought to their attention , said they needed Blackout Curtains or Blind. House keeping left me a note and a Sheet to hang over the Curtains. Slept better on 2nd night but the Sheet improved it but not perfect

Warm cosy stay, great value for money. What a difference from our last visit two years ago under previous ownership when the place was sad and souless with no food on offer at all (no chef then). All the staff were friendly and approachable, taking pride in their work. We were impressed at the updated decor in the bar area where they've obviously gone to a lot of trouble to make it modern and welcoming... somewhere where you're happy to stay for drinks or meals. Every evening seemed busy with a good atmosphere... popular with visitors and locals. The food was first class, and our stay included a wonderful breakfast which set us on our way for exploring the area. Large free car park round the back, and located right in the middle of this small town. Ideal for exploring this part of Dartmoor or South Devon.

Very clean, friendly staff. Good food. Suited my needs for two nights stay. Good location. Near to bus stops. Didn’t need the car park, which got full at times.

I stayed in the one bedroom accommodation near the beer garden and opposite the courtyard. The only thing was the noise at night from customers seated outside. Could hear everyone’s conversations. And possibly a thicker, more secure door with a bigger window for the light to come in. Kept thinking someone was going to open the door as I don’t think people are aware it’s accommodation.

Lovely pub atmosphere, excellent evening food, and fantastic value for money. The included breakfast was freshly cooked, presented nicely, tasty, and there was a good choice of options. For an included breakfast it was above expectations. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Creaky floors kind of come as a given when staying at an old pub but it did make it difficult to nip to the bathroom without waking up the whole pub. The mattress also weirdly had a bit of a dip in the middle so me and my partner took turns falling into it. That meant we didn't get the best night's sleep.

The location, the food, the staff, the room, the cleanliness all round was absolutely spot on! Stayed at The Cromwell Arms many a time previously. New owners now, and cannot fault anything whatsoever. Would be nice if breakfast was served in the restaurant from 07:00am to 10:00am rather than 08:00am to 10:00am. I was served a bacon roll to take away with me as I left before 08:00am, and it was absolutely delicious!

Nothing bad to say whatsoever.

The Cromwell Arms is in the middle of the pretty village of Bovey Tracey. It has its own parking lot, free for guests. The room was pleasant and clean, with attention to detail to feel welcome. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Cooked breakfast was made to order, our Eggs Benedict was perfect. Staff was helpful and courteous.

Dinner menu was not nearly as outstanding as breakfast.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and cooked fresh with a selection of cereals and fresh fruit etc. The room was comfortable, warm and generally clean and I slept easily. Good water pressure on both hot and cold giving great shower.

Only little thing is the extractor fan in bathroom needed cleaning and shower rail was loose but that's it.
