What an absolute gem of a place this is! We managed to get a last minute 2 night stay, along with an evening meal on the first night, and lunch on the second day. The food on offer certainly wasn't your typical "pub grub", but instead was more towards the bistro end of bistro-pub, exceeding expectations at every turn. The pork I had was some of the best I've eaten, and the mushroom risotto my partner had was sublime. I may recommend that the pork, which was an exceedingly thick cut, perhaps be served with a steak knife next time? The breakfast the next morning was great, but the lunch we had was exceptional, with the mushrooms on toast and the fried chicken both being outstanding. We will definitely be back for another visit as soon as possible, and wish the new owners all the success with their new venture, which already promises to be a firm favourite among many!

After a very eventful evening at a wedding down the road unfortunately disaster struck. The landlady and the chef were on hand to help straight away with an injury to a friend. I cannot put into words how helpful they were with the situation. The Landlady was such a great help and stayed with us until my friend was collected by the ambulance. This was after a full day's work too! What a lady! The morning after we were greeted by the landlord who was as pleasant and as helpful as his wife. The overall experience of staying at the New Inn has left me wanting to go back again in the future. Although maybe next time without any incidents. Haha. The rooms were perfect, the bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast.. well that was the highlight of the next day! My compliments to the chef and the local produce he has on hand. Thank you guys. Such a nice stay (even with the hicup)

The whole package was very good. Aside from the location this place is under careful and friendly new ownership who are really working hard with their staff to improve the services which had suffered pre-Nov 24 under previous landlords. The accommodation is comfortable, they serve a good pint from Kirkstall and Soltaire breweries and the chef locally sources, prepares and cooks (a different from your usual pub grub menu offering) to a high standard.. The beer garden had fine views. Parking available.

Our stay was excellent in most respects. The on-suite room was clean and comfortable, with good views across the valley, and quiet though it overlooked the road through the village. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge for milk and water in our room. There was no TV but that added to the peace and quiet of the place. And it's a good base for walking and exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

The only disappointment was the breakfasts which were just a 'full English' plate of black pudding, eggs, bacon, sausages, tomato, toast and beans. Some of us would rather not have had black pudding or would have preferred poached eggs instead - but we weren't offered a choice. There were no cereals or fruit juice and no jam and marmalade or extra toast on offer. So, a disappointment for the price (£14.95). Apart from this I would rate our stay 10 out of 10.

The location of the New Inn was perfect. The view from my room overlooking the valley was wonderful to wake to. The breakfast was exceptional and as a vegetarian I felt fully catered for. I was visiting for a nearby wedding so unfortunately I didn't get to spend much time at the New Inn but certainly will in the future. Finally, the staff were polite and helpful throughout. Will be back.

Not sure about the closure of the bar at 7.00 pm 🤔 Quite happy to go up the road ,less than 5 minutes away, but would have liked to have a drink 🍸 🙂 in what was my holiday home 🏡 for 3 days,which would have given me the chance to get to know the Landlord and the Landady and their regulars a bit better 😀 !!!

The room was comfortable, light and airy with a fantastic view. Probably the nicest room we had walking the Dales Way. The outside seating area was good, as was the food. Enjoyable cooked breakfast

Some issues about availability of WiFi, eventually resolved but we had had to go to Craven Arms for WiFi in the meantime, as there is no data

We had a warm welcome and immediately felt at the home and what seemed like a local’s pub. Great choice of real Ales and very good quality and imaginative food, mostly locally sourced.

Some of the fixtures and fittings felt unfinished although to be fair we understand the Pub is only been taken over recently.

Stunning scenery so perfect location, very comfortable bed and clean linen. Lots of choice of beverages in the room and plenty of them. milk was fresh so that was nice. The staff seemed very nice. There was no tv, however, we read so it didnt bother us ( scenery made up for that in our opinion ). We would definately like to re visit one day and would recommend this lovely peaceful place.

Very quiet and comfortable room with a fantastic view over the hills. The room was clean and recently brought up to modern standard what does not mean it lost it's charme at all! The Pub is cosy and offers a great range of real Ales. The owner keeps it in wooden barils made by himself. Very special place.

Because of an electrical issue was the Internet not working for 2 days. The owners fixed it in the end.
