It’s location with easy parking and green area and beer garden at rear . Lovely sunny and light room at rear on top floor . Welcoming and very helpful staff . Friendly atmosphere and good food at breakfast and dinner .

Lack of insulation on adjoining wall between rooms 10 and 11 meant every sound from bathroom in 11-including conversations , bath running , door opening and closing , especially in mornings woke us up . Glass in bathroom door meant early morning light not blocked off from bedroom-a blackout roller blind would solve this and privacy issues . Found dining room a bit bleak , basic and unwelcoming with bare wooden tables , floorboards and little colour or decor touches eg .pictures , artifacts .etc .

The Randolph hotel is a beautiful property in walking distance to southwold seafront and Pier. Our room on the top floor was immaculate. We were especially pleased with how spacious the shower room was. We kept our window open at night and the road was very quiet outside. I am a light sleeper and this was a very quiet room. The hosts gave us complimentary home made shortbread and were happy to provide fresh milk. Nice little touches in room such as hand made toy crab and seaside painting by local children. Would happily recommend this hotel. Would stay again 😊

I didn't like bread used for toast or foccacia starter, however other food was good quality and very well presented.

Breakfast was fantastic, the staff were all very polite and helpful in accommodating the dietary needs of my wife at breakfast. Homemade shortbread in the room was tasty, alongside all the standard tea, coffee, etc. you would expect. Easy to park, good location for walking into Southwold (20-25 mins).

Room was a bit cramped and the towel radiator in the en suite was difficult to turn down making the bathroom, and subsequently the bedroom, rather warm. The mattress was not comfortable for me, although my wife had no such issues (although she is blessed with being able to sleep anywhere!).

Modern and very clean. Layout and decor well thought out, giving a relaxing feel to our stay. We didn't use the garden due to the weather, but again the materials used in the design have been well thought out and it is a good size. Good breakfast using quality local food.

The restaurant feels a little basic and needs additional items to give it a lift. What annoyed us when we came to pay for the meal was having been billed a service charge of 10%, we were then asked via the card machine to give a tip!! Having thoroughly enjoyed our stay, this did leave a bit of a bad taste.

The hotel is quiet and peaceful, it has a homely comfortable feel about it. The food is high quality, locally sourced and beautifully cooked and presented. Great choice of items for breakfast, prepared to order. High quality toiletries in the rooms, they have thought about sustainability with refillable bottles. Fantastic, well-designed bathroom and fresh, clean decor. A nice touch is the access to their filtered 'housewater' available on request at all times, so you can fill your bottle when heading out for the day.

A good breakfast, with a lot to choose from.Warm bedrooms. Well equipped with coffee and tea. The bathroom was modern and equipped with adequate toiletries. Rooms well kept and clean.

The hotel was vey cold in the main areas. I think the heating was fully on , but it was very cold outside. We wondered why the fireplaces were blocked up. Perhaps fires of some sort in the attractive fireplaces would enhance the ambience of the lounge and dining areas. A more comfortable lounge area with sofa and chairs would also enhance the hotel.There was nowhere comfortable to sit with our pre dinner drinks or post meal coffee/ tea.

Very friendly welcome, easy to find in a quiet location a short distance out of busy Southwold. Plenty of parking. Lovely menu with interesting and delicious food choices for dinner and breakfast. Excellent table service and well ventilated spacious dining area, Our twin room was comfortable and very clean, with a great shower. Although there was no lift, the stairs were easy to manage and we had help with our bags. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Lovely warm welcome, room was lovely & warm . We had room 8, which is the front of the hotel, a lovely large room, a big window, so lots of light & views . Large bathroom with bath & a separate walk-in shower . Two lovely comfy chairs by the window, which was great to sit & take in the view's . Plenty of tea/coffee/chocolate, cookies 🍪 😋 . Breakfast was amazing, evening meal also very nice.

Large window would benefit from a voile halfway for a bit of privacy. Wine prices a bit over the top.

The staff were exceptional, special thanks to the blonde lady on reception (sorry didn't get her name) and Zoe & Wayne. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The position of the hotel to Southwold was perfect and in a lovely quiet area. We were celebrating my husbands birthday, the whole experience was very special and we would definitely stay again.

The beds could do with being a bit bigger and some new good pillows.

The room was a good size with a lovely seaside decor. There was all the facilities you would need, including tasty homemade shortbread biscuits. We didn't have dinner as we had a walk into town on the evening. However, we had breakfast which was very plentiful and varied, even having eggs royale ( smoked salmon) on the menu. All the staff were helpful and friendly and it is obvious it is a family run business judging by the attention to detail. The hotel is just out of the town of Southwold making it quiet at night. It takes about 15 minutes to walk into town, but is a lovely walk.
