The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. The room was lovely, well equiped, clean and comfortable. The included breakfasts were exceptional, absolutely delicious and really set us up for each day. We also ate there for lunch and dinner and were really impressed.

There was very little not to like, we were in room 2 which on the Saturday evening when there was a party in the room below was slightly louder than usual. So perhaps additional soundproofing would have been a benefit but thankfully it wasn't a late party/table so it wasn't late and just within restaurant hours so not enough to really bother us.

Our room was lovely on arrival for 4 nights, with excellent views, but we preferred a walk-in shower, to a free-standing bath. So we asked & were able to change very easily, after 1 night. Breakfast was included & you chose what you liked from a menu. Ditto drinks- whatever you liked. The staff were always extremely friendly & helpful. We had friends staying at the nearby campsite, & found the location opposite the beach was perfect!

The cleanliness was very good, except for the outside of the accommodation entrance, which just needs the cobwebs cleaned away & a spruce up.

The bath was brilliant and views just beautiful. Croissants and biscuits were lovely as was the tea. But I’m a sucker for fresh milk with my tea.. Bed/ linen all comfy. Water was a good touch.

Had to fiddle around to get radiators working as it was cold on arrival.

The location was superb. We just had to cross the road and a bank of sand dunes to get to the stunning beach. It is a 20 minute walk to the centre of Southwold and a 15 minute walk in the other direction to the harbour. We had a beautiful evening meal in the restaurant and the breakfasts were superb. Our room (4) had a great view over the salt marsh at the back.

Our double bed sloped to one side which meant that we both ended up squashed on one side. Also, the walls were paper thin and we could hear the other guests talking as if they were in the same room as us. We felt that the quality of the room did not merit the price charged.

This is a lovely property overlooking the dunes to the front and Marshland to the back. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but are in fact a few minutes walk into Southwold or a walk to the River Blythe and access to great walks and Walberswick in the other. The rooms were huge and our friends even had a terrace to sit out on and watch the sunset. The food in the pub was lovely and breakfast was included. All of the staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend staying here.

There was nothing to dislike.

Great place, excellent location - very quiet but only a short walk in to town and just across the road from the lovely beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable and ours had the added bonus of a sheltered balcony where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. So glad we booked very last minute and would definitely return when the restaurant is open in the evenings.

Through no fault of theirs Wifi wasn't working - this problem was for most of Southwold and had been going on for days and the staff were very apologetic.

We had a fantastic weekend at the Sail Loft. Our room was comfortable and we were lucky enough to have a stunning sunrise view each morning. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a delicious meal upon arrival and the staff were very helpful and accommodating when I inquired about gluten free options. The shower was wonderful very spa like with great water pressure. We loved that we could open the windows, listen to the waves and enjoy the fresh air.

Although the windows in bathroom were frosted, a blind or shade would have felt more private. Not much to fault as we greatly enjoyed our stay.

Loved it was right by the beach and a short walk into town.

No where to sit and enjoy a drink as a resident, its a very popular restaurant bar and you need to book to get a seat, no separate area for residents to enjoy a drink closed by 9.30pm. I realise they may stay open longer during the summer holidays but the weather was glorius and they are missing an opportunity to put a little more money in the till, no fridge in the rooms so we could get a cold drink late evening.

Everything! Fantastic location, in between harbour and the town. Friendly & very helpful staff. Thank you Tom, Dylan & team. Cleanliness was superb. Food was excellent. Room was absolutely perfect. View over the marshes and sunsets breathtaking. A brilliant mid-week holiday. We give our appreciation & highly recommend this place. Thanks again to all at the Sail Loft.

Only thing was walls were quite thin! So obv we could hear people in other rooms!

Breakfast menu appeared slightly limited on first viewing but it became clear very quickly that there was a lot of flexibility and the staff were happy to accommodate pretty much any request. All breakfast items were very well cooked. The location was stunning - slightly out of town (10 minute walk), directly opposite sand dunes and the beach, great views of sunsets.

I think Breakfast could be served a little earlier, perhaps from 8.30 rather than 9.30.
