Nicely decorated room. Very good breakfast (not included but freshly made and with original products). Dinner was also great! They made a mistake with the room, but it was very good solved. Friendly owner. Nice to sit in the beer garden. There are venues sometimes. Such concerts are a bonus but you will here the music in the room.

Lot of noise from outside. It is a listed building and the owner is not allowed to use modern glazing. Maybe it might be a good idea to place extra windows inside (we saw at the listed building of The Angel Hotel in Halesworth that this helps). The young staff has to be trained a bit more.

The room was quite spacious as was the ensuite. I found the bed very comfortable and water pressure in the shower was noticeably above average for rural hotels and B&Bs. Food in the restaurant was very good with separate dining areas away from the main bar. Really good breakfast facilities and choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly who made secure lockable arrangements for my cycle overnight as I was on a cycle tour tour around Suffolk.

The only reason I gave 8 rather 10 out of 10 was for the space restriction in the shower over the bath arrangement which was quite cramped. A simple shelf in the shower area would assist with soap / gel placement etc. But that said the water head pressure was really good. The windows overlooking the road are not double glazed which might inconvenience light sleepers, but the area goes very quiet after 11.00pm.

Nice location. Nice hotel with friendly staff. Local customers were polite and engaging. Nice simple breakfast/dining room and the option to eat in the snug bar. Food was very nice; I ate breakfast and evening meals in the hotel. I had a 'cabin room'. This comprised two single beds and a shared bathroom and shower. The room was nice, and the bathroom was a very good size. Car parking is within the hotel grounds, so no parking fees or long walks to get to and from the car.

I found everything to be very satisfactory.

The staff were very friendly and helped with our bags when we arrived The room was bigger than expected with a big bathroom Excellent idea for breakfast -paying seperately for what you can eat especially for light eaters at breakfast like us. Very clean - good communication with staff and felt very at ease there.

As the room was facing the trafic was noisy at times and the old style windows did not enable us to drown out the noise. New windows etc will be covered eventually so that will improve the sound levels.

Room and bathroom particularly were spotless. Bedroom was a single, and not very spacious, but bed comfortable, room warm on a chilly weekend. No noise from music event downstairs. Decor of room slightly startling and unusual. Staff very pleasant and friendly.

Big climb upstairs with luggage; lack of space in car park on Sunday evening.

Food excellent and good value for money. Staff were all charming, friendly and everywhere very clean.

Our beds were on wheels and TOO mobile. There is no lift and stairs steep and it’s difficult to manoeuvre on them with luggage. No full length mirror or a mirror attached. The room key was very awkward to remove from the door.

The Perfect Hotel. My wife and I have been to many hotels across the country, the White Horse, Leiston has got to be one of the best we have stayed in. The hotel room was perfect, clean and very inviting. The staff? Couldn't have been more polite and helpful. 10/10.

Nothing to dislike.

Everything to like. Friendly, cheerful staff. Instructions given on arrival for location of room, meal times, and music in the bar (which unable to hear from my bedroom). Delicious dinner and breakfast. Bedroom clean and comfortable with ensuite. Highly recommend.

I have been staying at this hotel on and off for 30yrs. Over the past few yrs it has undergone a program of updating and modernisation. Not £ millions, just the hard graft 'let's roll our sleeves up' kind. And it has been well worth it! The reception is now much brighter and in tune with 2021. The restaurant/ breakfast room is back at the front of the hotel and looks modern and welcoming. My room was warm, laid out well with plenty of towels and condoments. Plenty of tea and coffee, laid out next to my very own kettle and mugs also. Again..if you are looking for 5* luxury, look elsewhere but if you just want a friendly host, a neat and tidy room with a comfy bed then this is a great place to start.

You can get a little traffic noise if your room overlooks the nearby crossroad.

Very friendly pub hotel with laidback vibe. Don’t expect a posh (boring) country hotel, this a lively place, sometimes with music and a gorgeous garden. Very clean, comfortable room with a bath.

Just a suggestion: The automatic bathroom light and fan does more harm than good. Always comes on when you don’t want it to, especially during the day
