Breakfast was fantastic, the staff were all very polite and helpful in accommodating the dietary needs of my wife at breakfast. Homemade shortbread in the room was tasty, alongside all the standard tea, coffee, etc. you would expect. Easy to park, good location for walking into Southwold (20-25 mins).

Room was a bit cramped and the towel radiator in the en suite was difficult to turn down making the bathroom, and subsequently the bedroom, rather warm. The mattress was not comfortable for me, although my wife had no such issues (although she is blessed with being able to sleep anywhere!).

A good breakfast, with a lot to choose from.Warm bedrooms. Well equipped with coffee and tea. The bathroom was modern and equipped with adequate toiletries. Rooms well kept and clean.

The hotel was vey cold in the main areas. I think the heating was fully on , but it was very cold outside. We wondered why the fireplaces were blocked up. Perhaps fires of some sort in the attractive fireplaces would enhance the ambience of the lounge and dining areas. A more comfortable lounge area with sofa and chairs would also enhance the hotel.There was nowhere comfortable to sit with our pre dinner drinks or post meal coffee/ tea.

Lovely warm welcome, room was lovely & warm . We had room 8, which is the front of the hotel, a lovely large room, a big window, so lots of light & views . Large bathroom with bath & a separate walk-in shower . Two lovely comfy chairs by the window, which was great to sit & take in the view's . Plenty of tea/coffee/chocolate, cookies 🍪 😋 . Breakfast was amazing, evening meal also very nice.

Large window would benefit from a voile halfway for a bit of privacy. Wine prices a bit over the top.

The room was a good size with a lovely seaside decor. There was all the facilities you would need, including tasty homemade shortbread biscuits. We didn't have dinner as we had a walk into town on the evening. However, we had breakfast which was very plentiful and varied, even having eggs royale ( smoked salmon) on the menu. All the staff were helpful and friendly and it is obvious it is a family run business judging by the attention to detail. The hotel is just out of the town of Southwold making it quiet at night. It takes about 15 minutes to walk into town, but is a lovely walk.

All the staff were helpful and professional; I liked the building - very attractive - and the location, a 15-20 minute walk from town and pier, suited me well. Breakfast was excellent; parking no problem.

My room was a bit small; a chair would have been nice; and I suppose being in a fire escape room with a small hammer on the outside of the door inviting anyone to smash it raised theoretical security issues - but only theoretical ones, fortunately. The lack of a chair and desk, and the space to put them in, was a greater issue. But for the price I paid I think I got good value - as I say, everyone was most helpful and I would consider a return visit.

The breakfasts were particularly tasty plentiful and well cooked while the dinner menu was wide ranging and catered for those with less healthy appetites as well as others.

The stairs to out third floor bedroom were steep and during the day not well lit and there were three steep stairs down from the bedroom to the en-suite which had a shower that required stepping into the bath. The bedroom itself was excellent, warm and fitted with a huge double bed and a comfortable settee.

Lovely weekend stay at the Randolph Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. My partner and I slept very well in the bed. The staff were helpful and professional. The food was excellent. The bar was well stocked and had some lovely Adnams beers on tap. The location is a comfortable 15-20 minute walk from the central part of Southwold.

I would have preferred more choice with the breakfast menu, but to be fair, most things appeared to be catered for if requested.

This was our 2nd stay here after visiting last March during the refurbishment. Once agsin we took up an offer of 3 for 2nights. Our room was compact and clean, the bathroom was very spacious. I like how rooms are only serviced upon request and you just ask to top up what you need. Breakfasts were excellent although you do need hollandaise sauce with your salmon!! But still would be great value for money to non residents. Staff friendly snd chatty.

I didnt sleep well as the heated towel rail hummed rather loudly and I could hear an extractor cutting in and out through the night.

Big first floor room view over garden, lovely crisp iron sheets, included a good breakfast. Dog friendly bar & restaurant with choice of food and happy staff serving you. Very happy with deal price for 3 nights on booking.com

No dog friendly rooms ( yet... ) my husband + dog stayed elsewhere so look forward to a few rooms in future accepting well behaved dogs. Maybe less disco high tempo background music at breakfast ...

The rooms are very well maintained and very clean. The staff are always brilliant. We have stayed here about 4 times now over the last few years when we meet up with family and we will be doing the same next year. Jen and Gareth, your staff are excellent. You couldn't fault the venue or staff. All is excellent. Breakfast is very good also.
