Stunning location with views over Orford Ness from our bedroom window. Large room with what looked like a recently updated well appointed bathroom. Plenty of onsite parking. And all set in the beautiful village of Orford. Food was excellent, both dinner & breakfast. Would stay here again.

Didn't seem to have quite enough staff with us having to wait (not long) for the room to be ready & bill not available when we went down to breakfast. But staff pleasant & helpful. Room a bit too warm for us & no fridge in the room. Whilst I really enjoyed the food, the wine list didn't necessarily do it justice.

Beautiful comfortable room with wonderful view. Very clean and excellent shower. Tasty breakfast and the tasting menu was fantastic. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Ordford is a very interesting location. Very pretty with loads to do. The hotel hired electric bikes which were a brilliant way of getting around and highly recommend the ferry to Butley.

The water temperature for the bath at around 5pm wasn’t very hot. Everything else was absolutely fine.

Been to Orford a fair few times. It was a nice quiet short break. Nice walks, enjoyed wine by the fire. Breakfast was good. Woke up to the sound of an owl hooting.

Maybe the children of the staff shouldn't be left to amuse themselves in the seating area meant for customers (child was not causing any trouble but he was left in the seating area by the fireplace which meant people could not use that space).

Breakfast was excellent! Plenty of choice and good size portions. Eggs cooked to perfection! Staff were exceptional. Everyone made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

We could have done with a little more storage in our room but it would have meant limited space.

Spent a luxurious weekend at Easter in the Crown & Castle in Orford. Perfectly located near the Quay and pubs and bakery. Room was lovely, bed huge and firm. Breakfast was excellent and dinner even better. Staff could not have been nicer and met any request with 'of course you can'. Absolutely lovely. Expensive for sure but you get what you pay for. Recommend highly.

The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent and even though we were a group of 10 our food all came together and perfectly prepared, hot and delicious-

One of our group had an unpleasant smell in their room but the staff did everything to accommodate date them even though they were full and the room was unusable. Great service

Very friendly staff, the room in the garden area was large, bright and very clean with a big comfortable bed. Shower was over the bath but plenty of hot water and good pressure. Breakfast was good, Angela thought that her yoghurt with compote was sublime, my bacon and eggs was well up to standard. Plenty of coffee and good orange juice. Nice touch with the toast was a small croissant and pain au chocolat. Dinner was generally very good over the three nights, great lobster with tagliatelle, duck breast was delicious, monkfish tails with chorizo sublime, trio of Blythburgh pork very good. Wonderful walks by the sea and rivers.

Surprised when we were shown a room in the garden, looked at first a bit light a chalet in a holiday camp. However, hold judgement and our room was great inside together with a small patio to the rear, view of Orford Castle keep and pleasant garden. The 6.15 and 8.15 sittings for dinner are a bit of a problem as the 8.15 sitting can start at 8.30 to 8.45 if the first sitting are slow to vacate their seats!

I needed to leave really early to meet other folks, so although they offered a continental breakfast before the main breakfast period, I couldn't do this. my issue, not theirs. They tried hard!

I could not have changed anything for the better. The room was great, the staff were beyond lovely and the food was yummmmm!

We were cycling the wolf way and so this was perfectly placed along the way. The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious and hot even though we were a big group

We had a problem with a room due to a previous guest but the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating in trying to help the situation

Good to have personal service for breakfast rather than the usual buffet stuff. Excellent location with view of the castle from one's bedroom. Very good to be able to control the room heating and heated towel rail oneself without management interferring.

The blinds were very stiff to operate and the controls came apart after a few days.
